Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. A (Not So)Friendly Reunion Empty A (Not So)Friendly Reunion

Bitter Cold. The door's kept opening and closing, letting the air fly in and attack Andrew's skin. Even though he was wearing his robes (and a sweatshirt underneath, which wouldn't draw attention to teachers) he still couldn't keep himself from his teeth chattering. Why had he been waiting in the Entrance hall? Mostly to try and find Jack, to try and talk to her about her dual positions for Hogwarts. P.A. Leader and Quidditch Captain. He figured she might be up at the Owlery, but wouldn't dare risk a trip up there.

So he waited.

Keeping himself as warm as possible, Andrew sat on a bench, blissfully unaware of everything happening around him. His appearance had changed in the past six months, but only longer hair and a slight 5 o' clock shadow on his jaw. He was meaning to cut his hair and shave sooner, but he kind of liked the new look. In a way, it made him look older and even more respected. Somehow. Christ Jack, he thought in his mind angrily where are you?!

A (Not So)Friendly Reunion Empty Re: A (Not So)Friendly Reunion

Post by Elijah Krum Sat Jan 15, 2011 9:30 pm

The icy cold wind danced across Elijah’s cheeks, drawing the crimson blood to the surface. The Slytherin fumbled for the packet of cigarettes he’d travelled to Dufftown for and extracted one of the cigarettes from the packet. Elijah placed it between his lips and put the packet in his pocket. He reached into the other pocket of his ¾ length coat and plucked the matches out from inside. He pushed the drawer out, half paying attention to what he was doing and half watching where he was walking, and took a red-headed match out from inside. He pushed the drawer back in and struck the head of the match across the dark landing strip on the side of the box. The match lit and he brought it up to the cigarette, shielding the flame with his hand. The tip of the cigarette began to burn and Elijah took the match away, waving his hand until the flame went out. He flicked the match away and buried his hands deep into the pocket of his coat as he inhaled the nicotine and tried in vain to keep himself warm.

Hopping up onto a rock jutting out of the slope, Elijah continued up the hill towards the Entrance courtyard. He was eager to get back to the common room. He was tired and wanted to send an Owl to Finn before he went to bed. He wanted to tell his cousin to hurry up and marry Camille so she would start Owling Elijah again. They were besotted with each other and frankly, Elijah wanted to hear about his children, not the size of his cousin’s...well, you know. Jen was the only useful one when it came for information on what Fauve and Thierry were up to. Rob just wanted someone to complain to and Elijah wasn’t that person. He had enough going on inside his own head without having to read about his namesake throwing up on Rob for the nineteenth time that week.

Elijah stepped onto the cobbled floor of the Entrance Courtyard and quickened his pace as he made his way towards the door. He bypassed a group of Ravenclaws playing Gobstones and jumped up the steps to the Entrance hall. He pushed one of the doors open and slipped inside, taking the cigarette from his lips afterwards. Elijah let the large door fall shut behind him and looked around. His eyes fell on a familiar looking Gryffindor in the house robes and he smirked slightly, remembering the last time he’d come in contact with Andrew. Elijah’s fingers went to bridge of his nose and frowned. Well, it hadn’t been nearly as painful as the chain Felix took to his face but Andrew’s punch was more of a wound to Elijah’s ego.

“You’re not going to punch me again are you?” Elijah called to the Gryffindor, “Really it wasn’t my fault...well not entirely.” He admonished with regards to Chase’s pregnancy. “It was a trick of the God’s...or it was meant to be! Or...something like that. How are you, mate?”

A (Not So)Friendly Reunion Empty Re: A (Not So)Friendly Reunion

Andrew's blood thinned and his rage grew steadily. Elijah Krum. Why had he found Andrew? Sure he was sitting in the most horrible place to try and hide from someone, but why couldn't Eli just let Andrew mind his own buisness. Now this was getting tense for Andrew. He had enough to deal with already, losing everything and Chase. Chase was one of the good things in his life, and now he couldn't care less. Or did he still care? It didn't matter at that moment. Only one mental picture blocked Andrew's fault.

Elijah's blood on the ground.

Andrew chuckled sardonically, yet it quickly changed to a tone of hatred and despise. "F*ck off Eli," he swore, not caring who would hear "I don't need your crap right now. You have a lot of nerve talking to me after everything that happened you freaking pest." What had Eli done to Andrew? Well stole Chase for one. But either than that, he really did nothing. Which was why Andrew wouldn't touch Eli again, because it would be pointless. Sure he could kill Eli, but what would that solve? Nothing, except add more problems to his list. "Listen," he said again, trying to calm himself down at least "I won't apologize for what happened. You shouldn't apologize either. So just move on with your life and leave it be, okay?"

A (Not So)Friendly Reunion Empty Re: A (Not So)Friendly Reunion

Andrew wasn’t terrifying so Elijah felt at ease enough to glance over at the girls talking with the Ravenclaw ghost. He admired them, as he did with all women, and observed their bodies as they stood speaking with Grey Lady. Elijah met the dark gaze of the brunette and blinked, glancing over at Andrew as the words he’d taken in but ignored rolled around in his mind. A gasp had left the mouth of the blonde and Elijah watched out of the corner of his eye as the two girls scuttled off, their skirts riding up slightly as their long legs took them out of the Entrance Hall and through a portrait. Elijah looked at Andrew curiously and listened to everything else the irate Gryffindor had to say. When he was finished, Elijah quirked an eyebrow upwards at him.

“So you’ve been good then.” He gave himself the answer to the question that he’d asked Andrew. “Perhaps I do owe you an apology but I do feel sure that Chase made the correct decision.” Elijah said smoothly. “You do owe those ladies an apology though. Men are not supposed to let the ladies hear their words of disdain. We are their servants after all,” Elijah smiled a little bit. “I suppose this would be a bad time to mention that Chase is pregnant,” Elijah said airily and tactlessly. He figured he’d just whip the plaster off. What more harm could it do? Khaat might finally get her wish. Andrew might castrate Elijah. Not only had ‘won’ Chase but he’d also impregnated her. Charming. “I know I must be the bane of your existence but really...we’re just in love with the same girl aren’t we? No harm done on either part really is there?” he added, hoping to gloss over the little bit of information he’d released.

Andrew froze and grimaced. Preganant...WITH HIS CHILD?! Andrew wanted to tear Eli's throat out and show it to Chase, just to see what her reaction was like! To see that Eli was dead and would never breathe another cigarette no more! Yet Andrew held back, even though he wanted to rip Eli limb from limb. "Congratu-freaking-lations," he said in a very hateful tone, "do you want a gift basket as well? I'll probably put a brick in there so I could smash your teeth in with it!" Andrew caught himself again. "Look," he said angrily "I don't care if you marry her at this point, as long as she's happy with that. But if you break her heart, you will regret it."

And with that, Andrew began to walk away. Chase pregnant? Heh...after all he went through for her. Now he was with some ba*tard child and he got her pregnant. "Also Eli," he said walking away "any girl would be lucky to have you. So that way their eyes could be open and find their way to a real man. Y'know." After that sentence, he flipped him the bird with a slight smile on his face. He wondered what Eli would do now.

Elijah would never be able comprehend why Andrew was so violent. He understood why Andrew would want to be but why he was, Elijah would never know. He was going to suggest he get some therapy from Lestrange at St. Mungo’s but Elijah thought better of it. Instead Elijah let Andrew call the shots. He put the cigarette back between his lips and inhaled leisurely. He watched Andrew retreat and smirked at the words and at the fingers Andrew had flashed in his direction. “You’re not Merlin’s gift to women either, mate,” Elijah retorted with a scowl. “I am a mere mortal on this earth that has devoted his life to the worship of the female. If I point her in the right direction then so be it. Chase is a goddess. Granted she is a pregnant Goddess, but even more of one now than she already was.”

Elijah crossed his arms over his chest and looked at Andrew coolly deciding upon his next words. “You wouldn’t want to be the Godfather would you?” He asked carefully, not entirely sure how to elaborate. Elijah took the cigarette from between his lips and flicked the ash away. “It would mean a lot to us if you did.” He added after a moment.

Andrew actually stopped and chuckled as he listened to Eli's statement. It was pathetic in his eyes. "So did I Eli. But what happens when you're done with her? Like all the rest. You will break her heart, like so many others. I was willing to do anything for Chase, and I did. I didn't want to break her heart, but I was afraid. I was a child and I was too stupid to realize that I hurt myself greatly. Now I know better." He continued to walk, but suddenly stopped dead in his track.

Godfather.

Oh how he wanted to insult Eli for saying that, because that would probably be his way of getting back at Andrew. But he mentioned Chase as well. He hadn't seen her in a while now, and yet she wanted him as the godfather. He turned around and said "Fine. But only for Chase. Don't consider this a nice gesture towards you. I loved Chase and I'm still willing to help her out with anything."

Elijah smirked. Andrew was so sure Elijah was going to break Chase’s heart. That was not the case by any means. He wasn’t going to go anywhere unless Chase asked him to. He loved her. He belonged to her. “I’m not going to toss her aside, Andrew.” Elijah replied calmly. “I love her. I have no reason to let her go. Ever,” Elijah lifted his leg up and rubbed the cigarette against the bottom of his shoe. He dropped his leg back down and pinched the tip before poking it behind his ear. “She’d kill me, you know,” he said wistfully. “I’m not exactly meant to smoke anymore.” Elijah shrugged. “...vices are always difficult to give up.”

Elijah wasn’t going to tell Andrew that he’d decided to make Andrew the god-father on the spur of the moment and that Chase had no idea. It was probably better that she didn’t know for now. They could argue about it later. She didn’t hate Andrew, neither did Eli personally but his opinion mattered not. Andrew could hate him by all means. Elijah wanted him to be friends with Chase though. It seemed like the best way. Plus, it sounded like a good idea – to him at least. “Thank you,” Elijah nodded. “Just don’t turn her against me alright?” he grinned.

Andrew still felt uneasy about being the godfather of Chases...whatever it would be. He had loved Chase and he had dumped her, but wanted her back. He tried everything and she denied him. Now she was with Eli, and even though he sounded sincere, he still didn't trust him. Things were just not looking up for Andrew at the moment. What was he supposed to do now? Andrew would try to forget, that's what he would do. Besides, fighting and holding a grudge with Eli would hold no purpose anymore. If he was like that around Chase, she wouldn't certainly let Andrew be around or something. Now was the time Andrew had to grow up.

He turned around and walked towards Eli. He held out his hand, in a manner of shaking and said "I don't want to be a complete ass when the baby comes around. If I'm going to be the godfather, I have to be on good terms with the family. Truce?" It hurt Andrew a bit by doing this, but it was for the good of the future. He would be the better man in this war and it didn't matter who would win.
