What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. “Oh-oh, shhhhh, its going to be ok,” Nerissa whispered as she tried desperately to
untangle the stems of two honking daffodils that had been planted too close together.
She wore a frown on her bubblegum-pink lips and was biting her bottom lip as she
concentrated on fixing the mess someone had made. “It is a bad idea to have studen-
ts mess with plants; they don’t know what they are doing- oh, aha! Gotcha!” she said,
throwing her arms in the air when she realized she had gotten the two plants free.
They made a loud, cheerful noise that sounded a lot like a horn and Nerissa couldn’t
help but laugh. “Now I’ll go get you some water and you should be fine. Try to act like
your dying when the children come in and they will choose you two last if they do at
all,” she told them as if they could actually understand her. Nerissa spoke to all of her
plants, even though she knew they couldn’t understand her, it was just something
she did.

Nerissa turned around on her heel and walked to the closet cupboard, digging through
it in search of a watering can. “Perhaps I should ask the professor teaching this class
to take better care of this place,” she mumbled, though there had been so many differ-
ent professors switching places in the last couple months that she wasn’t sure who
exactly that would be. “Here we are…” Nerissa held the dirt-covered thing up and exa-
mined it; with a few washes it would be fine to use. She set it down on one of the two
wooden greenhouse tables and pulled out her wand, “scourgify,” she spoke the incan-
tation that cleaned objects. She watched as the dirt was cleaned away from the wat-
ering can and nodded to herself, it had worked perfectly, and that was something to
be proud of.

“Aguamenti” Nerissa said loudly and clearly, the tip of her wand only a few inches abo-
ve the hole that allowed you to fill it with water, and laughed happily when it was filled
to the brim with water. She put her wand back in the pocket of her school robes and
brought the watering can back over to the two plants she had been caring for earlier.
“There we go…” she muttered as she filled their pots with clean water.

"Oh Merlin, someone kill me now."

A tiny fifteen year old was on her way to the Herbology classroom, she wasn't exactly sure why she was doing this, since she didn't really like Herbology to begin with but she felt like she had to, considering the rather low grades the teacher has been giving to her. It wasn't fair though! It's not like she didn't have the intelligence for the subject it was just that--she didn't find it too interesting, so she ends up procrastinating which would lead to her, doing work messily.
She looked up as she went down the hill and noticed two things, one: The sun was shining, and two: she wasn't wearing her favorite hat. Scrunching her nose, she started flailing and started to go down hill fast, she wanted a little adrenaline spurt and as soon as she got down, all the "little rush" was over. She giggled lightly to herself as she continued her merry way. For some reason, Elizabeth had always been fond of being alone, but then again she didn't mind the company either, both being alone and being with friends were just as comforting.

When she got to the Herbology classroom, she huffed a bit, looking at the Green house with distaste, it just wasn't her cup of tea. She shrugged and opened the door quietly, wondering if the Professor was around, but she ended up seeing another student instead. Oh hold on... She was a fellow Ravenclaw! The younger ones!

"Hi!" Elizabeth chirped as she went inside the Herbology lab, looking around. "Woah, you sure have been busy. Is the Professor around by any chance?"

She didn't know who the girl was, only that she was in a year lower than her, but she was really pretty though.

Nerissa jumped and screamed; she hadn’t heard anyone enter the greenhouse and it had
startled her when she had suddenly heard another voice. She groaned when she realized
she had dropped her watering can and crouched down to pick it up. She pulled it up off the
floor with quite a bit of struggle; it was very heavy with all the water that was inside of it &
she wasn’t that strong to begin with. Nerissa held her breath and heaved the thing back on
to the table and exhaled, making a loud whoosh sound. She tipped the watering can ov-
er sideways and propped it up with an empty flower pot before turning to look at the person
who had joined her in the plant-filled place.

“No, no one other than me is here,” Nerissa answered, wiping her hands off on her shirt -
which had dirt stains and splashes of water all over it. She would get into clean clothes late-
r, those were her ‘greenhouse clothes’, so they weren’t her best and she would where them
whenever she planned on going out to work with the plants. Nerissa eyed the girl, she looked
about her year, and she was wearing Ravenclaw robes, so she figured it would be OK to ta-
lk to her; in the past, whenever Nerissa had tried talking with anyone other than children in her
house it hadn’t ended well. You never knew which Slytherins would smash you to bits if you
said ‘hello’ and which ones would embrace you in a hug upon your arrival. Nerissa pulled her
red hair back and tied it up in a ponytail when it started to annoy her, “Yeah, the other studen-
ts like to destroy this place every class and I take it upon myself to make sure the plants can
live through it,” she replied.

“Please don’t touch that!” she pleaded when she saw how close the girl was to knocking over
one of the mandrakes- which would be disastrous. “Um, why are you here?” she asked, try-
ing not to sound too rude, though she was genuinely curious.

The rather short Ravenclaw took a step back, quite surprised when the young girl screamed. She didn't go out talking to other people much, so this was considered as something new to her. Yes, definitely something new, not to mention odd. Although she was probably just scared herself but as she continued to observe the younger girl, she had to admit, she was holding back a grin. As to why, well, she just found this a tad bit amusing but out of respect for the girl in front of her, she held the grin back, and just placed a look of curiosity on her features instead.

Elizabeth shifted her weight to her other leg and continued observing the girl. Her green eyes looking a bit curious as she watched the girl tipping the watering can. She can't help but stare sometimes, especially when she was curious. She wanted to know where the Professor was, yet she also wanted to know why this girl was here when it was a fine day outside!

"Oh..."

When the lass answered her question, Elizabeth bit her lip, oh great. Just what she needed. Now she's going to have to look for her Professor elsewhere. She frowned and crossed her arms, thinking about what she was going to do. She could go right now, but then she'd be wasting this wonderful day if the teacher decided to give her a chance to make up for her lessons. She pondered for a moment, looking at the ceiling as she shrugged. She can always talk to her Herbology Professor the next day, she didn't want to waste today's weather.

Her attention was brought back to the girl in front of her and murmured a bit more to herself, "I'll just have to see her some other time." She let out a light chuckle and grinned, knowing that she might skip meeting her Professor tomorrow too, she wouldn't know. She was too much of a procrastinator to care. Liz wanted to ask Nerissa why she was all alone here, and why she was doing such a task but she just told her why just now. She looked around and nodded, "Okay, fair enough." Although she didn't exactly like Herbology, she didn't exactly tolerate people who purposely destroy the plants. Specially mandrakes.

"Wh-what?" She had to ask again and looked to her side, seeing a pot right next to her, so she took a step away from it. "Alright, there we go. Sorry, about that." She grinned and shrugged when the girl asked her what she was doing in the green house, "Well, I was looking for the Professor. I needed to talk to him about my grades you see..." She didn't exactly mind if people knew she was worried about her studies, Ravenclaws she knew were the same only that they didn't exactly have anything to worry about...she on the other hand..

Shaking her thoughts she looked at the girl and shrugged, "Do you always come around here during your spare time?"

When the girl mentioned her grades and speaking to the Herbology professor, Nerissa instantly assumed that she was either another of those annoying slackers who made everyone do the work for them, or someone who didn’t have a clue what they were doing in that class. Nerissa usually wasn’t the type to judge or put labels on anyone, but sometimes it was just plain unavoidable, especially when it was so very obvious.

Nerissa walked back over to the watering can & lifted it back up so that it stopped pouring water into the flower pot; that one had enough water for two flower pots, but then again, Nerissa knew that these particular plants needed more water than most. She caressed one of the wilting petals gently, a soft smile on her lips. She seemed to go into a trance for a moment as she stared at the magnificent flower, trying to understand how such a delicate thing could last in such a harsh environment; those students were savages in Nerissa’s eyes- or, at least, the ones that liked to pluck the petals and leaves from healthy plants. Nerissa sighed and looked up, remembering that there was another girl there in the greenhouse with her.

“Most of my free time, yes. Though I also like to lie in the grass in the Quidditch stadium or find a good spot near the black lake to sit,” Nerissa replied, leaving out the part about her listening in on conversations in hopes of hearing a hearty laugh or an innocent giggle- it truly was a wonderful sound, but most would think her weird- or, weirder -if they knew about that.
