What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. N.E.W.T. Class - Lesson 9 Empty N.E.W.T. Class - Lesson 9

Post by James William Wilson Fri Apr 23, 2010 2:17 pm

He adores exams. Just a task, not much work for him, no control, no helping, no work. He just had to think of something interesting, which he did, and then sit and observe. He entered his classroom, re-arranged the desks and took a seat, waiting for the students to come.

Post by Arthur Severus Poe Fri Apr 23, 2010 2:22 pm

Arthur liked exams. They were fun and he could test his abilities, which was something he fancied very often. He entered the classroom and sat on a desk that was re-arranged by professor Wilson. He waited for more people to come so that they could start.

N.E.W.T. Class - Lesson 9 Empty Re: N.E.W.T. Class - Lesson 9

Post by Mariana Diggory Fri Apr 23, 2010 9:27 pm

Mariana took her school bag putting it over her shoulder with a quick move of her both arms grabbing her wand afterwards placing it safely in the pocket. Then she got out of the common room going through the dungeons then up the stairs towards the stairs at the Ground floor which lead towards Hogwarts floors. Once she was on first floor she made her way towards the classroom not particulary excited about seing Wilson's face. "Good morning your highness," she said taking a seat next to Arthur boredly. "Hi Arty.." she added at his ear.

N.E.W.T. Class - Lesson 9 Empty Re: N.E.W.T. Class - Lesson 9

Post by Alester Thoth Crowley Sat Apr 24, 2010 6:52 pm

Alester sauntered into the classroom with a confident gait; he had not forgotten that it was an exam day, hopefully one of the last he would have to sit in this school... He noted the rearrangement of desks and took one closer to the entrance, and exit. His messenger bag hit the floor softly as his body hit the chair. He nodded politely to the other occupants of the room, people he was becoming increasingly aware of by name and face. Arthur Poe and Mariana Diggory both capable and competent witchkind. He gave the professor a bow of respect in greeting and waited further instruction as to the nature of the exam. This was Professor Wilson, so he expected an interesting, difficult, and fair exam. He had no reason to expect otherwise it was what he had come to know of the Professor, no nonsense, to the task, and yet a bit of a dry wit. Silvery turquoise eyes shone with anticipation to see what he would be challenged to do.

N.E.W.T. Class - Lesson 9 Empty Re: N.E.W.T. Class - Lesson 9

Post by Victoire Weasley01 Sun Apr 25, 2010 2:18 pm

Victoire was not amused. She hated class and turning up when there was an exam was like being whacked twice with a really bad crucio. Yes she went to that dramatic extreme, she even thought classes should be considered an unforgivable curse. Victoire was one to well...exaggerate a lot one could argue. She didn't see it that way of course.

Victoire walked in, more like sauntered into the classroom as she took a seat no where in particular and gazed around for a familiar face before she begun to examin her nails unamused with this whole stupid school thing. She couldn't wait to graduate.

N.E.W.T. Class - Lesson 9 Empty Re: N.E.W.T. Class - Lesson 9

Post by Sophia Granger Mon Apr 26, 2010 4:24 am

Sophia walked into the classroom knowing they had a exam to take today so she made sure she studied for the spells the used over the pass couple of weeks. "Good morning Professor."said Sophia taking her place beside Mariana. "Hey Mari, are you ready for the exam?"Sophia asked her softly knowing she would be ready for that was the type of person Mariana was. Sophia's wand remained in her Gryffindor robe until she found out what they were doing for their exams. Sophia waited for more people to come that way she could get this exam going and done.

N.E.W.T. Class - Lesson 9 Empty Re: N.E.W.T. Class - Lesson 9

Post by James William Wilson Tue Apr 27, 2010 11:00 pm

''Good, enough. Now, today is your first exam with me. As all of my classes, my exams are extremely imaginative and creative. I know you hate my guts because I am not your typical professor, but I do not care. My goal here is to teach you, not to make you like me. This is a very interesting subject, my primary, although I have taught Potions, Charms, Muggle Studies and even Transfiguration, but Defense Against the Dark Arts is something I cherish. The Basic levels are prepared for the basics in spells and how to deal with the most twisted creatures alive. Once, I even got a basilisk, but a student got petrified and they banned me the usage of Basilisks in class. Idiots! You are faced with the most twisted examples of dark magic existing and with the most difficult obstacles a wizard can face. Life will not look out for you or your emotions and neither will I. I am trying to prepare your for life, not for facing some garden gnomes. This exam will be the most difficult for you, more difficult than the imaginative finals that I will have prepared for you by the end of the term. You will face death, but death in the form of someone dear to you. That will be, of course, an enchanted Boggart, but it will try to kill you and you have to do the same. You know which spell to use. Engage in a duel and kill him or her. Diggory, you will face your grandfather. Arthur, me. Lestrange, father. Fey, husband. Weasley, brother and Crowley, you have been the most difficult to choose, but sill, you will face your father. Again, I repeat, they are only enchanted Boggarts that look like people dear to you, but you still have to kill them. If not, they will kill you, simple as that. They are programmed to kill you and they will not hesitate to do so, trust me. Engage in a duel, use any spell you want, and then finally, kill them. This is a test of mental strength and endurance more that skill. I know you are all capable of using the spells, but are you capable of dealing with a situation. That is what I am going to teach you until term ends and that is what you will have to show here... if you are ready to face life or not. Oh, I almost forgot. Whoever fails this exam will not be allowed to attend the finals and will, therefore, repeat the term, again under my tenure as DADA professor. Why? Because, as I have said, this one is more important than the final one. This one will show if you are ready to face whatever life bestows upon you, whoever is not ready is not ready to take my finals and pass this year. That applies for all. If Snape could do it, so can I.'', he said, taking a seat. ''Whoever wants to go first, please, step up.'', he said.

N.E.W.T. Class - Lesson 9 Empty Re: N.E.W.T. Class - Lesson 9

Post by Sophia Granger Wed Apr 28, 2010 12:36 am

Sophia swallowed hard as she heard Professor Wilson say what their exam will be, she didn't like the idea of killing her farther even though it was just a boggart but what choice did she have? she had to pass this class. Sophia was taught very well by her farther how to deal with situations like this, but she wasn't expecting this but she did have to give Professor Wilson some credit. Closing her eyes and took a deep breath Sophia stepped up first. "I'll go first Professor."said Sophia bravely as she gotten out her wand and stood before Professor Wilson ready to face and do her exam. "I'm ready when you are Professor."said Sophia with her wand at ready waiting for her boggart farther to appear.

N.E.W.T. Class - Lesson 9 Empty Re: N.E.W.T. Class - Lesson 9

Post by James William Wilson Wed Apr 28, 2010 8:21 am

Wilson looked at her. ''It seems that you have the qualities of your mother. Well. Now, here is our dear Minister.'', he said with a smirk. He waved his hand and the door of a closet opened, making Matt Lestrange come out. He pointed his wand at Sophia. ''Crucio'', he fired.

(You RP the rest of the duel. This was just an introduction by me. You will have to RP the duels yourself, I won't interfere. Your grade will depend on the realism of the post and its creativity.)

N.E.W.T. Class - Lesson 9 Empty Re: N.E.W.T. Class - Lesson 9

Post by Belle Fey Potter Wed Apr 28, 2010 5:33 pm

Belle had come in at the beginning of Professor Wilson's introduction to the exam. A Boggart that looks like Andy? She thought to herself. Well a Boggart could enchant itself to look like her husband all it wanted, it still would not be Andrian. But when the Boggart that looked like Matt came out...well she had her doubts. He looked and sounded just like him as a flung an Unforgivable curse at Sophia. Perhaps this would not be as easy as she hoped.
