Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Older Than Me Empty Older Than Me

Post by Alice Longbottom1 Mon Mar 15, 2010 1:46 am

Frank was older than her. It hadn't ever seemed much like a problem- he'd tickle her and she'd giggle, he'd be off to preschool and she couldn't even walk, he'd be off to 'big boy school', while she was struggling to understand why. However, he'd always come back home, and she'd always know that her big brother Frank was right in the room across the hall. But now, he was up, she was down. He was brave, she was shy and sweet. He was Gryffindor, she was Hufflepuff. The times they could see each other seemed to be limited.

They also took different classes, which is why Alice hardly expected to see her brother Frank in the study room that day. She'd decided not to think about it, or she'd go looking for him when she was wasting valuable study time, as she was falling behind in Transfiguration and Charms. Must be her dad's genes. So she was sitting in her favorite study chair, reading a boring old Transfiguration book, wishing more than ever she could actually see him.

Frank entered the Study room, his Transfiguration book underneath his arm. He spotted his little sister over in a chair, he grinned and walked over to her table. He took a seat and placed his book down, he hadn't expected to see his sister. They normally didn't see each other, what with the different times tables and the different houses. "Hey Little Sis!" he said in a big brother voice. "How you doing?" he asked her. "Falling behind?" he asked looking at her books. Almost just like their father, he grinned.

"I need to work on my Transfiguration!" he added looking at his book. "You know its not my best subject!" he continued. "But other than that, how you doing in Herbology?" he asked her laughing.

"Frank!" Alice exclaimed, happily slamming her book closed and placing it hurriedly on the side table next to her chair. She was glad to be rid of it. Especially for such a convenient excuse as this. "You wish, I'm only behind in Transfiguration. I'm doing fine thanks. I hear you're doing dandy as well." she said, hinting about a certain young lady that he'd heard he was messing around with, dating here and there.

"Well, if I say that I'm definitely going to be a Herbology specialist when I eventually grow up, does that answer your question? I'm kidding, I love it, awesome at it as always. No-not to brag." she said, the famed blush coming out in her cheeks as always. "What about you?"

He grinned as she sounded excited, "Shhh, people are trying to study," he said in a mock library tone. She put her book down and he smiled at her. He had no idea she would react like this, but he should've known. They rarely see each other and they were very close. "Hmmm? Oh yeah I'm doing pretty good," he said blushing rather red. "I hate Transfiguration," he reminded her changing the subject. "I'm probably going to fail the next test." he said glumly.

"I don't know, I might beat you out there!" he said chuckling. "I've gotten O's on every test since the beginning of the new semester," he said proudly. "I'm pretty good. Alot of sweet things have happened in the last few days," he said blushing again and grinning. He let a small cough out that almost sounded like a laugh.
