Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Class Five - Basic Level Empty Class Five - Basic Level

Post by William Winston McCoy Mon Mar 08, 2010 9:54 pm

Another day, another class. Professor McCoy had replaced professor Emof, who had work in the Ministry, not a long time ago. He liked teaching, especially Transfiguration. He had done some teaching jobs before, but Transfiguration was always his favorite. He wrote his name on the blackboard and sat on his desk, waiting for the students to arrive. He also waved his hand and wrote the title of today's lesson - Piscifors & Draconifors.

NOTE:

PRACTICAL AND ORAL EXAM WILL BE CONDUCTED DURING CLASS SIX! DO PRACTICE AND DO LEARN.

Sincerely,
William Winston McCoy

"Good day Professor McCoy," James Wake chanted as he entered the classroom, wand already in his hand. Transfiguration was not James' strongest suit, but he still understood enough to get by. Why had he chosen this course again? After eight, no, nine years of learning magic, James felt braced for many a event. Piscifors and Draconifors? At the back of his mind, James was already recovering the information from one of his previous readings.

Draconifors- turns dragon statues into psuedo-dragons, controllable by one's wand.
Piscifors- based on the term Piscine, french for pool, but refers to Poisson, french for fish. Turns enemies into fish.

How strange that James would bother to remember these spells. Was his past really coming back for him in full force? James' eyes traveled down the board, but he sat down in his stiff manner.

Frank entered the classroom, not having the biggest smile on his face as he really hated this subject. "Good morning Professor McCoy!" he said smiling at him. He took a seat and looked up at the board, his mouth fell open and he groaned. An exam? He closed his eyes and hit his head againts his table. He pulled out his parchment and a quill, and began writing down what was on the board. "Oh....what did those do again?" he asked himself very quietly. He was neer good at this....

Dracinforce-Turns a person into a dragon?
Piscifors-Turns a Fish into a......Human?

Abbey walked into the classroom and saw two other kids had already arrived. One was James, while the other she had never met. Abbey shrugged and took a seat; 'Must be a newbie.', she thought. Abbey glanced at what Professor McCoy had written on the board.

Draconifors - turns dragon statues into actual dragons that can be controlled by the wizard or witch who cast the spell

Piscifors - turns a human into a fish

Abbey looked over her work, hoping it was correct. She remembered her father teaching her some spells like this before as a practical joke to use on her friends.

(There are three of you on this class... for that I used to finish the class without a word. Look through the history. I'll wait for a few hours and then see what I will do. McCoy)

''Only three? Well, this is disappointing. Thank you for coming, but I cannot work under these circumstances. You are having an exam next week, so be prepared. These two spells are easy, you have a good how-to guide in your books, practice them a little. This is getting worse by the minute. Class dismissed.'', McCoy said returning to his office .
