Class Two - N.E.W.T.

Another day, another class. Professor McCoy had replaced professor Emof, who had work in the Ministry, not a long time ago. He liked teaching, especially Transfiguration. He had done some teaching jobs before, but Transfiguration was always his favorite. He wrote his name on the blackboard and sat on his desk, waiting for the students to arrive. He also waved his hand and wrote the title of today's lesson - Vermiculus.

Arthur entered the Transfiguration classroom. He was the first to arrive. ''Morning professor'', he greeted him with a smile and took his seat. ''It seems that we will need our wands today. What luck'', he said with a visible dose of excitement.

Mariana was on time this class.She started climbing 15 minutes before end of class and walked into classroom quickly detaining in the front when Hogwarts pest was throwing something heavy on her head. "Bang!" was heard when a stone vase fell over Mariana;s head and popped on the floor. "Why you little!!" she shouted in the hall scrubbing her head.Peeves just flew away leaving Mariana to talk to herself. She walked inside the classroom having annoyed look. "Good morning Professor." she hardly said trying to calm down.She sat in the back and hit her bag in her desk very hard.

''Morning Miss Diggory! Mister Poe! Yes, Arthur, you are right... we are using our wands today. Vermiculus is not such a hard spell and I hope that all of you will master it. Miss Diggory, had Peeves been causing trouble again? You know, when I was here at school, we used to make pranks on him... we had our little spells just for him.'', McCoy said with a friendly smile.

(I am waiting until tomorrow morning in my place, meaning... the ones who are planning on coming have about 12 hours to post)

Amelia had been sitting in the hallway which led to the transfiguration room, reading a book she had checked out from the library on Shape-shifting potions. In addition to the better known potions, Amelia had been studying up on the lesser appreciated or widely known variations. Not having been naturally born a metamorphagi, Amelia was particularly interested in the idea of changes her appearance at will.

After giving Peeves an evil enough glare to suggest that he find someone else to bother, Amelia heard a crash from down the hall, followed by his unmistakable cackle. Sighing, Amelia marked her page in the book and snapped it closed, following the noise down the hall. She was only in time to see Peeves swooping in the other direction, clearly pleased with himself. The shards of a vase lay in the hallway across from the door to the transfiguration room, and after a quick spell to put the delicate china back together Amelia tucked her wand away and walked into the classroom.

Taking a seat on the left side of the classroom, she nodded in the direction of the professor, glad to see that he seemed to be here to stay, at least for the time being. She pulled out some parchment and her transfiguration book, copying down the writing on the board and opening up to the chapter on that vermiculus spell.

Mariana heard Arthur's name.She was pre-ocupated with Peeves that she almost didn't greet him. "Oh hey Arty.I see you come first always." she said pointing wand at the back of her head which was bleeding from the vase. "Episqio." she thought as she felt the injury closing with a little pain. "Don't know Professor never heard of spells to prank Peeves." she replied thinking about she needed to wash her hair in the evening since it was full of blood.

''Well, I should not say. But, now to fix you Miss Diggory'', McCoy said. He flicked with his hand and Mariana's hair was clean. ''I hope you do not mind'', he said friendly.

He then turned to Amelia. ''Miss Lyons, good morning to you. I hope you will have a pleasant class like last time. Oh and Miss Diggory, next time Peeves bothers you, just inform me.'', he added.

''And now... today's lesson. I had to do a lot of work to get these little critters. Professor Adeagbo managed to set them free. It took me a while to catch them. Vampire Mosps... can anyone tell me what they are and why is today's spell connected with them?'', he asked levitating a small box to each of the tables.

''Morning Mariana... are you alright?'', Arthur asked. He then turned to William. ''Bloody pests, what could they be. They are a special species of giant insects. We have Purple, less aggressive and Red, more aggressive. They like flowers. The spell is used to transform then into worms.'', he replied and then turned back to Mariana.

McCoy laughed at Arthur's answer. ''That is correct, Mr. Poe. Ten points for Gryffindor. Now... since today's class consists mainly of practice, you will do just that. Those boxes contain Vampire Mosps. When you set them free, you will transform them into ordinary worms. The incantation is Vermiculus and the hand movement is in the shape of the letter U. Now, I shall demonstrate and then you can begin.'', McCoy said.

He then let one Mosp free. He did not need his wand for such easy spells, but he had to demonstrate to the children. ''Vermiculus'', he said. And the Mosp, which flew around his table became a worm and landed on it. ''You see, not so difficult. You may begin!'', he added.

Arthur took his wand out and opened the box. An insect came out and started flying around his head. ''Blasted bug. Vermiculus'', he said. The insect became a worm. Arthur took the worm and returned it to the box. ''Done, professor'', he exclaimed.
