O'Hurley Estates ~Mature~

Oded trotted his horse up the long driveway of the estates smiling softly to himself. The O'Hurley Estates have been handed down from father to son for generations. The Estate had grown more over the years and it was now over twenty-eight acres of land. Since he now owned the Estates he put in a barn and stables for horses that he owned, he had also put in two gardens. When he got to the front of the house he dismounted and a stable boy walked forward taking the horse. "Hello Han. Will you take Boston here and brush him oh give him some oats he deserves it today. He worked hard after all the running we did." he said to the stable boy. "Yes sir. Right away. Come on Boston lets get you some oats." Han said smiling as Boston walked beside him towards the stables. Oded walked into the house and smiled when his butler came forward. "Hello James. How are you today?" He asked the butler. "Very well master O'Hurley. How was your ride? Supper will be on the table at seven 'o clock as always." he said bowing deeply. "Ah it was better today thank you. Great i'm starved what has the cook made tonight?" James smiled and said politely, "You know that she doesn't like me telling you what your having before you see it. You know how much she loves to surprize you." Oded chuckled and walked into the library to his desk to check the estates books. 'Hmm still in order i have to order more things for the house to keep it in running order.' he thought smiling softly to himself.

Christabelle was waiting in the library to speak to him. She hadn't wanted to stay at school but neither did she want to stay at her parents house either, "I hope you don't mind, they let me in here." she said greeting him, "I actually had something to ask of you."

Oded looked up and saw her, "Well that's fine i don't care. What is it you wanna ask me Christy?" He asked looking at her as he went to sit down in one of the chairs in front of the desk. "Please sit down." he said gesturing to one of the other chairs.

"No I'd really prefer to stand." she said as she bit her lip nervously. "I actually wanted to know if I could stay here instead of at school." she said hurrying out with her question. "At least for a little while, I can't stand being at home or school right now, especially with Godric and I not getting along." she had failed to mention Nick for the first time and it was odd.

Oded was taken by surprize and said, "Yes of course. I'll have one of the maids make up a room for you. What level of the house would you like to be on? There are three floors." He got up and pulled a rope in the corner of the room and waited for someone to come to the library. "I would like to ask you a question though if i may?"

"It really doesn't matter." she said in reply about which floor she would be on. "I'm fine with any, just not a princess little girl room." she said glaring evily at the thought. "But ask I'll answer as best as I can."

Oded looked at her and smiled, "Dang i guess i can't have you use that room....I want to ask as to why you and your brother aren't getting along. What happened between you two?" Someone knocked on the door and waited for a response. "Come in." Oded said holding up a finger telling her to answer when the person had left. A young woman came in she was wearing a white and black outfit that would suit a maid. "How may i be of service sir?" she said smiling softly at him. "I would like you to prepare the master suit on the second floor for Mistress Whittle, Molly. Make sure that the fireplace is lit and the room sweeped and clean immediately." He said smiling politely. The woman blinked at his smile dnad then said softly, "R-right away sir." she bobed a curtesy and hurried from the room shutting the door. "I'm defintely going to have to find maids that are older and have husbands." he said sighing as he sank into the nearest chair. "Anyways are you hungry my cook is making a really nice meal tonight i can ask her to make it for two if you would like to eat here."

Christy frowned. It was true that Godric and her were like brother and sister, twins even but they were only cousins. "Its complicated really." she said wanting to truly avoid the subject but he would probably see through it. "You really don't want to hear it." She smiled at the maid that walked in, "At least they aren't those hideous house elves like my parents keep. They tend to use the most ugly and useless things on the whole planet."

Oded smiled and said, "Huose elves sometimes have their uses. I only have one of them but the rest are people from wizarding familes that have worked in this place for many generations. That maid is the only one who tried her hardest to grab my attention. Though i don't know why she bothers really." He looked at her smiled more. "I do want to hear it mybe it isn't as complicated as you make it seem Christy. I'll do my best to understand."

"No I really think it is." she replied looking at him, "My fiance and I aren't exactly together right now and Godric is siding with him on the situation and hasn't even spoken to me." she said keeping a great deal of the story from him. It was true, it was just cut off at the knees so to speak.
