Sneaking out of the Feast (Nick) Empty Sneaking out of the Feast (Nick)

Christabelle had sucessfully made her way out of the great hall without many people noticing, not that she would worry anyway. Most people she could smile and tell them they saw nothing and to everyone else that was what they saw. She turned to see if Nick was indeed following her. "So which way do I head?" she asked curiously. "Its not like I know my way around here or anything." she joked.

Nick smiled as Christabelle fiddled with his tie, straightening it and putting it up slightly higher than he would have liked. While she walked out of the hall, Nick fixed it, yeah he was a prefect but that didnt mean he had to look like a geek. He loosened it a bit then straightened his robes. He walked slowly at first, down the aisle between the Slytherin's and the Ravenclaws. What would he tell people that inquired as to where he was going? The toilet obviously, though it was probably a little obvious that he wasn't, seeing as the girl he had been talking to for the past fifteen minutes had just up and went also. A few of his closer friends flashed him grin's, he walked with his head down, grinning also. It was then he heard a rather shrill voice call "Nicholas." Turning casually he saw one of the substitute teachers, an older woman, Nick replied calmly "Just going to the toilet miss. Too much pumpkin juice..." She raised her eyebrow but let him continue on anyways. His pace quickened as he saw Christabelle stare at him imploring him, willing him to hurry up. Another few seconds and he was out the door.

Placing his hand on her back Nick guided her up the marble staircase "Well I dont know where you want to go, how about I give you that tour I promised?" Continuing to smile the pair ascended the steps, Nick lead her to the first floor. It was deserted just now but when term started this would no doubt be one of the most crowded floors. "First floor is Defence Against the Dark Art's easy to remember huh? Though if we are in the same class, Ill make sure you get here in time" Nick smiled again "Want to see if the classrooms are unlocked?"

"You weren't very smooth at sneaking away." she said standing on the stair case after watching him get caught by one of the substitutes. She giggled as she had watched the whole thing keeping her hand over her mouth to cover to music like sound. She watched as the teacher slowly returned to keep an eye on the other students. She looked around curiously as she stood on the stair case remembering details about the littlest things.

"That tour sounds lovely." she replied smiling. She even blushed a little as she felt his hand on her lower back guiding her up the marble stairs. She raised an eyebrow at him when he asked if they should see if the classroom was unlocked, "I say go for it." she said as she walked up to the door opening it easily. "Guess that answers our question." she continued to say as she curiously walked in the dark room.

Nick stood close behind Christabelle as she entered one of Hogwart's greatest classrooms. If he had it his way Nick would stay in here all day, there was always so much more to learn when it came to the dark arts, a truly fascinating subject. It was decorated like any other classroom, a row of table's and chairs, all facing the blackboard and the teacher's table. Lining the walls were bookcases, most filled to bursting with books for all ability levels. Nick had read most of them and bought his own copies of those he considered important. He gazed up at the ceiling to stare at the medium sized Dragon's skeleton which hung from the it. "Pretty impressive isnt it." He added. Nick sat himself down on one of the tables and smiled over at Christabelle "Did they have classrooms like this at Beauxbatons? Were their students as nice as me? Surely we can find something Hogwarts has thats better than your old school."

Nick had become genuinly interested in the girl who stood before him. She was interesting and quite rebellious, attractive qualities, she should have been a Slytherin or at a stretch a Gryfindor. Nick laughed "The sorting hat must have had a hard time sorting you, you have so many desirable qualities. Why dont you defect to Slytherin?" Nick smiled at her and gazed out of the window opposit him. The moonlight pouring into the room was relaxing somehow

She walked into the dimly lit classroom. It was definately bigger and had more books about the dark arts than Beauxbatons but then again it was possibly because of the fact that England had been given more trouble than France in that subject. "I do have to admit it is pretty impressive." she said jumping up on the teacher's desk crossing her legs as she looked around. "Beauxbatons didn't have this many books on the dark arts." she mused thoughtfully. Then she got around to his question on the Sorting Hat.

"Actually it did." she said looking at him, "It was at first confused by me I think." she continued to say, "Saying that I should be in Hufflepuff for my innocence is apparently great, but then something about having a darker side." she took a breath and twirled a curl around her finger thoughtlessly, "So then it said Slytherin...and then it decided my brains out weighed all of those and placed me in Ravenclaw." She had thought about Slytherin until she knew her cousin was in the house. "And I would be in Slytherin but I think I get some time where I'm not being constantly watched every second of every day like my cousin would do." She picked up a random book off of the desk, "So do I look like a professor?" she asked jokingly trying to look serious.

Sneaking out of the Feast (Nick) Empty Re: Sneaking out of the Feast (Nick)

Indeed Britain had had much more dark happenings than any other part of the wizarding world. Britain was also very famous for the quality of its wizards, being the birth place of the two greatest ones to have ever lived, Tom Riddle and Albus Dumbledore. Both on totally opposite ends of the spectrum but both great nonetheless, thats where Nick wanted to be. He listened to her story about her sorting, his had been less eventfull. The sorting hat was barely on his head before it roared Slytherin! It had good reason too though, what with Nick being a pure-blooded parselmouth it didn't really have a choice did it? He told her this when she had finished, it only seemed fair "My sorting was over in a flash, sat on the stool aged eleven, a nervous wreck, wondering what it might say. The teacher places it just above my head, it barely touches my hair and....ta-da." He opened his arms in a "here I am" sort of way. Nick certainly did suit the Slytherin uniform.

He smiled widely as she asked whether or not she would make a good professor. He stood up and walked slowly towards her, pretending to think about it before stopping a few feet away and answering "No. You would make a terrible professor. Your far too good looking, your students wouldn't be able to concentrate in class. If you were teaching me I would make it my lifes goal to get detention, everyday." He gave her a cheeky grin and asked her the same question "Do you think I would make a good teacher?" He stood with his head held high and his back straight, trying to look as important and regal looking as he could.

She laughed at him in his ta-da effect, greatly amused by it. "Maybe that was the impression I was trying to make." she replied about the teaching thing, "Get kids like you into detention where they belong." she said jokingly. She looked at him trying to be regal and giggled, "No, no you'd make a fine professor...One of the classes I would sleep in and still make perfect marks." she said jumping off of the desk and moving towards the other side of the room. She waited a moment and slowly made her way sheepishly back over to him. "No you'd make a fine professor I think. But about the wizards you had talked about.." she trailed off looking at him,

"I remember my father talking about them at one point and how both were good in their own way and both trying to achieve similar goals just with different actions." she said sounding like she had heard the entire conversation, granted she had only been three at the time.

"I dont belong in detention, Ill have you know that at times I can be a model pupil." It was half true, in three of his classes anyways. Nick smiled at her as she approached him. It was then the conversation turned a little serious, Nick leant back on a table and listened to her intently. So she knew about Tom Riddle and Dumbledore, well so she should, they were after all the best who had ever lived. Indeed her father was right, both Tom and Dumbledore were masters at their respective ends of the spectrum. Riddle was a dark art's genius, and despite the evil that he had commited, one had to respect his magical ability. Dumbledore on the other hand had been a master of everything, from what Nick had heard. Though he had met his end through means of the dark lord eventually, same for that Harry Potter. Nick smiled and replied "Your father must be a smart man, to appreciate fully the work both men have done for the wizarding world. What do you think about them? Do you know much about Tom Riddle?"

Nick wouldn't admit it but from an early age he had had a rather morbid fascination with the dark lord, though he resented the fact that his ideals were all wrong. Still, if Nick was ever as skilled as Tom perhaps there was hope for the world yet. Both Nick and Riddle shared a number of characteristics. Both were parseltounges, both had been in Slytherin house and seemingly Tom had also been a good looking, popular teenager at school. Nick smiled "I wouldn't worry about him, the ministry blow alot of the stories out of proportion."

"Not my father." she said seriously, "He likes to keep things well contained til he feels that the public needs to know about them." she continued to say, "I don't really know much about the dark lord. I was kept from a lot of things dealing with that time." she said looking at him.

"Well it's not a very good story to be honest. He is just a ridiculously talented man who dislikes muggle borns. Im sure you can piece the rest together, you are a smart girl after all are you not, Christabelle?" Nick smiled from his position over at the table, they were a few feet from eachother but he could see her perfectly. Her Blonde hair and glowing skin brought a kind of light to the dark room, weird Nick thought. "So do you have a boyfriend?" Where the hell did that come from? Nick hadn't meant to say it but there was a silence that needed filling and all this talk of Riddle was depressing, not fun at all. Nick stuttered a little before laughing "I mean Im just curious, just trying to pain the picture which is Christabelle." Nick tried to look relaxed popping himself up on the table and relaxing back, his hands holding on to the side.
