Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

It's the year 2015 - After Dumbledore, after Harry Potter, even after the Battle of Hogwarts, the magical school still stands tall and proud. Finally restored to the glorious days of when Harry Potter was just a first year, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy has been run by Minerva McGonagall since Albus Dumbledore's death. Reminders of the Battle still linger; a plaque of those who died at the Battle was erected outside the Great Hall, listing all the men and women who died to save the wizarding community. Dark magic left it's mark on many of the walls. Students whispers the tales of the Battle. Neville Longbottom, the forgetful, often bullied student in Harry's year, often tells his students tales. And the most painful reminder of the dark times is the pure white stone coffin where Dumbledore rests.

Not all is sad, though! Hogwarts is bustling with activities as usual. The once cursed post of Defense Against the Dark Arts was filled by Romulus Lupin, brother to Remus Lupin. Neville Longbottom has taken over teaching Herbology, one of the places where he has shown talent. McGonagall is now headmistress, and her Transfiguration post was filled by Alvin "A Mad Do" Amado. Potions, for so long taught by Severus Snape, was given back to Horace Slughorn.

Outside of the classes, the inter-house Qudditch Championships is just as competitive as always! The teams are faster, stronger, and better than before. Seekers aspire to play as well as Harry Potter; keepers from every house train like Oliver Wood. Captains fight, each with a strong desire to crush the other.

Hagrid, as always, is open to listening to students and feeding them. A notorious cook, a man who loves his beasts, Hagrid befriended Harry and egged them on during the first book, letting slip things like Fluffy, the Sorcerer's Stone, and the things guarding the Stone.

Teachers who taught Harry and his year often whisper tales about the Muggle-born Herminone Granger, who set all sorts of school records in academics. Rumors about the Special Service Awards in the Trophy Room that bear Harry Potter and Ron Weasley's names spread far and wide.

Welcome to Hogwarts, as it is today. Find your friends, make enemies, join in on the newest struggles, and find yourself struggling with homework as you navigate tricky staircases, open secret tunnels by tickling doors, and watch drunk painted men sing. What awaits around the corner is for you to find out!

The Daily Prophet has started to tell tales about mysterious disappearances and unlikely murders. Just the day before, they were talking about the death of a group of Muggle children that were found wandering the streets. A few days before that, a middle-aged wizard appeared to drop dead on his own accord. One of the Unspeakables vanished from the Department of Mysteries. Still, no one is suspicious... yet...

The rumors spreading through Hogwarts confirmed nothing. McGonagall doesn't address the problem, and the students are comforted that this just mustn't be a huge problem... yet.

Are these deaths and disappearances just random? Or are they related? Is a new force growing, growing in the darkness?
