Prolouge part 1:

A tanned girl, with long black hair woke up and saw her room for the first time this day. Her black eyes searched the dark room, and what she saw was nothing new. It was the same old stuff. The same huge windows, that covered the floor to the ceiling. It was the same book shelves at the end of her dark green room, it was the same wall that was covered with a mirror. It was the same old fireplace, chairs, table, wardrobe that covered another wall and the same many-sized bed in black. The only thing that was changed was the huge bag that was in the right corner. It was almost full, all she needed to add in it was the make-up things.

She took a deep breath, yawned, closed her eyes and feel a sleep.
Many hours later, her room was lighted and she heard a sweet voice talk to her while taking the curtains away from the windows to let the sun in. "Good morning Merope, so nice that you finally awoke. It is breakfast in half an hour." the female voice said. "Yeah, I'll be there mom." Merope answered and heard her mom walking out of the room, mumbling some words Merope didn't understand.

The eleven-year-old-girl stood up and walked to her wardrobe, took out a pair of black jeans and a dark green sweater before she walked into her own bathroom to take a shower and wake up. It was a bubble bath there, a sink and a toilette, all in white/gold colours.
After fifteen minutes at the bathroom, Merope walked down the many floors to enter the kitchen, seeing her mom getting ready for breakfast, a male house-elf who was doing the cooking and another house-elf, female this one, who was serving her mom and she knew that she was going to serve her when she took a seat.

She took a bite of the food the house-elfserved her, she never asked what it was. Why should she talk to someone that worked for her? Why should she ask someone that was under her? "So, today is the day. Are you going to see young Mr. Malfoy before his train goes?" Lucinda, Merope's mother said in her sweet voice.

"Yes, I am mother. I wont see him in a long while so of course I will." She answered sarcastically and no one said anything for a long while, they just ate in silence. "Well, I know you have packed your bag, Tida can finish it for you so you can go and visit Mr. Malfoy Jr if you want. Just be here a 12:00pm."
Merope stood up, thanked for the food and walked out into the huge hallway, took her long, black robe on, and walked out of the Riddle mansion with a sad smile.

Today was the day she had to say good bye to a really good friend of hers, Draco Malfoy. He didn't live far away from Merope's house, but it took a while before she could see that Malfoy's mansion. Lucius Malfoy, a Death Eater, was an old friend of Merope's father, and both of the fathers said that their kids could be no friends under no surkomstances, but it didn't end that way. Ten years ago, when Merope was only a year old, her father died and things changed. She was allowed to be with Draco because her mother thought it was a good idea. She don't remember anything of her time with her father, all she now knows is that she is going to either kill Harry James Potter right away herself, or torture him till he dies, because she know that he is the reason her father died, and anyone who hurts her family, leaves her with no pity.

But everything is so difference then that. Because in years, Merope thought she was going to go on the same school as Harry Potter and then she could figure out who he was in person and find his weaknesses, so she could easier kill him. He would not know who she was, no one would, because she would use her mothers last name, the name no one really knows. But again, it didn't end that way, because Merope was to enter a new school, a school her father wanted her to go to, a school he didn't hesitate to write Merope into, a school that was into the Dark Arts - a lot, they didn't care for astronomy, care for magical creatures, divination and history of magic, it was a school named Galtvort, a school for dark witches and wizards. All Merope knew about this school was that they was really into Defence Against Dark Arts, or was it just Dark Arts with no defence? It was actually Lord Tom Riddle, her father who invented the school. He wasn't accepted to be a teacher in Hogwarts, so he created his own school.

She stopped in front of a large door, it was dark brown and not so huge as the door to her own mansion. A female house-elf opened it and Merope entered. The house-elf took her obe and said that she would get Mr. Malfoy Jr right away and left. Minutes passed by and then she heard footsteps and saw the pale, white face that belonged to the boy she had seen so many times in her last ten years. "Merope! We're not going to the same school, did you know? I just heard it from father." Draco said with a sensation of sorrow in his voice as he gave Merope the same hug he always gave her when they met. "Yes, I found it out the last week, I didn't tell you because I wasn't sure how to, forgive me." she said in a quiet voice and they both walked into the living room where they sat down at the large, black leather couch. "Oh, well. We have the owls so we can still owl each other, and I can write and tell you how this Potter is."

Draco Malfoy knew about what happened and what Merope's plans were because she had told him about it and she never regretted that she did. It was nice to have someone to talk to. The only thing she didn't tell him was about her name. Her name, Merope, was the name of her father's mother. Her father hated her because he thought that if his mother was a witch she wouldn't let herself dye when giving birth, but she did and that's the reason for why he hated her so much. Why he wanted to gave his daughter that name, Merope, she didn't know, but she had thought that she could ask her father about it later in her life, but now she would never get to know and that was to her the most painful thing int he world, never getting to know why her own father, who she loved so much, would give her a name of a person that he hated so much.

"I have an idea, can you try to be friends with him? In the beginning at least? If he turns your friendly hand down, then I don't care what you do. But I think it can be a clever idea to at least give a friendly hand out." she said with her thoughtful voice. "I don't see the reason for a thought like that, but I can do that if it means so much for you Merope." Merope smiled by the words and hugged him.

They talked about their usually things for hours, before Merope had to leave. "I see you soon. This is no good bye Draco Malfoy. I wont see you in many years because of the school that I'm going to, well it is a full time school, the only times we have free is during the weekends and I s'pose I will be spending a lot time with homeworks then." "What about vacations? will you not come home then?" Draco asked with the sweetest tone she had ever heard him speak in. She knew that he would miss her, and she him, but it was something that needed to be done. "No, the school really has no time for vacations, then I wouldn't be done before I turned thirty! I'll miss you a lot Draco, don't forget about me. We'll meet again." Merope kissed Draco's chin and walked away. She didn't want to hear the words Draco said to her, she didn't want to feel miserable, all she knew wa that it would take years before she met him again, and then everything would be difference.

After the walk home, everything went on so fast. She entered the living room, and there stood her mom and her aunt, her moms sister, with her two daughters, Merope's cousins. Behind them was a huge cake, with the writing of: Good Bye Lady Merope Riddle, we'll miss you a lot!!

Merope didn't want to, but she felt tears coming in her eyes and she hugged everyone in her family. She missed her father, and was angry that she didn't have one relative left from his family, and she was sad for thinking that, and so sad because she knew that she wouldn't see her family in years. To be exact, she wouldn't see her family in nine to ten years, that deepens on how good the student did on the exam they have in the ninth year, if they do bad they have one more chance. The school time was long, she knew that. And she knew that in the end, she would be happy for this, even though it meant that she wouldn't see her family in nine to ten years.

She said good byes to her family an hour later and then she and her mom went into the fireplace to enter a train station. The station was not an ordinary station, because it was two fireplaces there, one for arrivals and one for people that wanted to leave. Merope saw many people, and they all had the some sort of a dark green robe on with an even darker snake on. `Must be some sort of an uniform´, she thought.

"Mom, I don't have books, robes and all that!" she said almost flipping out as she thought of school uniforms. She was so used to have other people doing that for her, and she has never needed things like that. `How could I forget? It must be the only thing I had to remember!´ she thought to herself and her mom was just calm. "Calm down my sweet Lady Merope. The robe you are wearing are the school robe uniform. And you have a bag with all the things you'll ever need. Your wand you have in your robe and your owl are right here. Don't you think I have things like this sorted?" Lucinda smiled and rolled her eyes in a funny way before she took her daughter to the first compartment on the train.

"But this robe is black, the others are dark green. And why are we going here? Everyone are looking at us mom, I don't this room are for students." she wanted to stop and walk to a room where people were going to, but her mom took her in her arm and dragged her to the first room without a word.

They walked into the compartment and Merope was a little surprised over it's looks. It was blood red walls, with two black chairs, a black couch and a black table. A door told her that there was a personal toilette there as well. Merope was so surprised over this when she saw her mom taking a seat at the couch and started to talk. "This room are for the Riddle family. The other students looked at us because we walked into this room, therefore they now know who you are. The Riddle family also have another different robe then the other students, yours are black, the other students are dark green. You have a dark green snake on the back with red eyes, they have just a dark green snake." she stopped, took a deep breath and paused to let Merops think over what she had just said. Merope could see that her mom wanted to say more, so she kept quiet even thoughs he wanted to speak up. "Tom wanted this, Merope. He wanted to treat his family differently then the other students. He wanted to give his family something else then the usuall clothes, therefore he gave his family a black robe, with a dark green snake with red eyes on and the students a dark green one with a darker snake on the back. You will have the same books as the others, but your wand is again something else. I don't know what it is about your wand exactly, Tom never told me, but he did tell me one thing. That your wand is one of the more powerful ones. Your wand allows you to do some weak powers without you touching it, thought you need to have it close.
There is so much more to this school then I can tell you. In your bag you will find several books covered in black and grey, they have no title but it is the story of this school, they have some spells in them, and they will explain so much more then I can tell you at this moment. Read the carefully, and don't read them all at once and forget them. Please Merope, read them carefully over time, you can read them as many times as you want, and please do. Read the books at least once a year, in the end you will see why. I have to go now, I love you darling. And I'm sure your father would as well."

She walked over to her daughter and kissed the top of her head and hugged her tightly. "I love you to mom. I'll miss you deeply." Merope said in her mothers chest and followed her mother to the door and did as many many other students who were on the train, she waived goodbye to her mother and took a really good picture of her mother in her mind, because this is the last time at nine years, she would see her.

The train gave a loud sound and Merope walked into her room again. She took a seat near the window and saw the world she was raised up in fly away behind her. She would never forget about it, at least so she hoped.

Slytherin's Heir Empty Re: Slytherin's Heir

Post by Guest Sun Jan 13, 2008 10:49 am

That was the first part of the prologue, here the second one. Then after this I'll start with the real chapters Very Happy
--

"This room are not for students. I'm sure you know that from your parents?"
Merope turned her head from one of the old books her mother had given her, to see who it was that entered her room and if that was not all, the arrival was indeed very rude. "Yes, I'm notified by that." she answered sarcastically to the stranger.

The girl who had entered the room, had short brown hair, brown eyes, a small mouth and cute nose. She was starting to get some spots in her face and she was wearing a dark green robe. "Then I guess you better find yourself a new room, you don't wan ..." the girl stopped when she saw what kind of robe Merope was wearing. No one said anything for a few seconds and the only sound was made by the train. "I see. The name is Riddle, Merope Riddle." she got up from her chair by the window and walked approached the girl, behind her was a few more students, obviously wondering who it was that was sitting in the room that no one was to sit in. "Do you have a name or do you just want to stand there? I am kind of sick of people looking in here you see." Merope said shortly as she could easily count seventeen heads standing outside her compartment.

"Oh, um. It was just a little weird. I didn't know the Dark Lord had a daughter. Um, my name is Rosaline Brady, just starting this year." Rosaline took a step inside after Merope showed her the way in and closed the door and took the curtains over the window. "I just so hate it when people are staring at me. But yeah, the Dark Lord had a daughter, I'm an only child so. Do you have any brothers or sisters?"

"Yeah, I have three older sisters, one of them are in the ninth year now, the rest are done here and I have an younger brother. He wont start before I starts in my eighth year. It sucks really. Most of the time I'd prefer to be an lonely child." They talked a little more about their family and how they would prefer to live. Rosaline wanted to be an lonely child and spoiled as Merope, while Merope wanted to have just one more sister or brother, or else she lived her life alone and spoiled as ever.

Around midnight Rosaline walked back to her room to get her belongings. She had to drag the things alone because Merope had to fix a little in the room. She found out that the couch could be a bed as well, so she had to fix that so they could sleep there. Because this was a much longer journey then Merope thought it was. You had to sleep over a night, and when you woke up the next morning you were close, but it was still three more hours before you stopped, give or take.

Merope and Rosaline talked for hours, the moon was all up, and the older students was now walking to every room to get younger students to sleep. Some other reason made them just walk into Merope's room just once, that was because they were having a dance contest and was too loud.

The next morning came fast and the 'food lady', as Rosaline called her, came with breakfast. They had a fun time trying to figure out what they were eating. Merope didn't really care as she had spent a lot of time in her life, not knowing what she ate, but Rosaline did. She was always wondering what she was eating, at least she told Merope so.

Merope smiled and packed her stuff into the bag again. "Do you know how we get sorted?" she asked. She knew that on Hogwarts you were to be sorted into four houses; Slytherin, Gryffindor, Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff, but this was a total different school. "Um yeah. But I'm not so sure we can trust my sisters, but they told me that all we need to do is to write your name on a parchment and the name of your mother and father and the year you were born. It is just two different houses; Slytherin and Smygard."
"Oh really? Father was in Slytherin at Hogwarts and mother was in Smygard at some other school I can't remember." `Well, that explains a little about the house names anyway.´ she thought to herself as she tried to remember what her mothers school was called. "Wicked. Well, that is pretty much it. Oh, the train stopped, but we aren't on the station."

Merope walked to the window and looked outside. No, they were actually not on land anymore, or were they? The ground was green, but you could see right though it. It looked to be a fish in it, but was it a lake? The train surely thought it was, because suddenly the train dived under the water and Merope figured that the water was green, unusually, seeing that the water is normally blue or see-through. `Another clever idea of my father or?´

They had to drive another hour under water before the train got back on land again and into the station. It was black and dark grey and then the doors unlocked themselves and Merope and Rosaline walked outside, leaving their bags at the train. "First years, over here please, hurry on!" A tall and skinny guy said and it took Merope two second to figure out that he was obvious some sort of a first-year-guide. He followed the first years to many wegans where they took a seat inside and the wegan would start to drive them immediatly. "Do we eat now or is that later? I'm starting to get hungry." Merope said and touched her tummy. "Yes, I think we are going to eat now. We just need to get sorted and then we all begin to eat." Rosaline said. Obviously her sister have told her that in the letters.

The castle was actually really small. It looked like it only had two floors or perhaps it is just one, but Merope had read a few chapters of an old book so she knew that the castle really was huge. It had many floors, two floors alone to do Defence Against the Dark Arts, each year had their own classroom. and then there was a floor for each lesson they had. The castle was black, or dark grey outside and when Merope and the rest entered inside to the Entrance Hall, it was so much more. The walls were of a dark colour Merope didn't know the name of. It was a really long stair that went downstairs to the many, many floors. It was candles and flames on the walls and on the tables. It was pictures at the walls of former professors at the school. "Are those professors? How old is this school really?" Rosaline said in an amazed tone as she just saw the pictures. Merope rolled her eyed a little but spoke like she didn't. "The school was made when father was around twenty-five years old. That is now around twenty-five years ago." she said and continued the way to the Dining Room.

The Dining Room was a room to eat in, nothing else. It was four large tables, two for the two houses. The Slytherin tables were of dark green color and the Smygard tables were of grass green colour. Students all over took their seats, but the first years remain standing. An old professor walked to them and gave them ink and parchment, gave them a little instructions about what they were going to write and then they should walk up to the white flames and throw their parchment inside it.

Merope was one of the last people who did this, so when she finished writing down her name, the name of her mother and father and then her birthday, she walked forward to the flames and threw the parchment inside. Just as the parchment hit the flames the flames turned black and the parchment was thrown right out again. The same old professor who talked to them before they started to write, had just a few words to say now. "Lady Merope Riddle, the daughter of our Dark Lord and his wife Lucinda, are now in the House of Slytherin!"

The Slytherin tables collapsed in loud voices and many smiles as a big chair suddenly appeared at the end of the table. Obviously a chair for the Heir of Slytherin. Several minutes later, Rosaline came and joined her and so they ate and had the best first-day-at-a-new-school ever where they later was to be toured around the school and made a lot of new friends.

*~~~~~~~~~~*~~~~~~~~~~*~~~~~~~~~~*
End of the prologue part two. Here begins the real chapter Very Happy Have fun
*~~~~~~~~~~*~~~~~~~~~~*~~~~~~~~~~*
Chapter 1: The Letter

Years have now been going on, and Merope woke up in her own private room. This was the day she had been waiting for! She got up and off her bed and looked at her room. It was almost just like her room at home, but this room had no windows, just flames, candles and a fireplace. On the end of her bed was many gifts, it was her 19the birthday today and next week were the examinations week. She opened the first package and there it was a letter. Curiously, she opened it and read to herself.

Dear Lady Merope..
Congratulations on your 19th birthday sweetie!
Forgive me for not owling you more often, things have just been so hectictly around here lately. I don't know if you have already been notified by this, I don't think you have, but five years ago, when you were fourteen year old, somehow your father returned from the dead. Isn't it marvelous? He will say much more when you return home of course. And I'm sure you may wonder why he haven't owled you before, or why he haven't been visiting you at the school, as he now is the headmaster there again.
The answer is simple actually, he is too busy. He has to gather his group once again and he wants to move Galtvort to Hogwarts so his relatives can go on school were their foreign adults were graduated.
We'll tell you much more about this topic when you return home. I love you dearly, Merope, and so does your father.

(signed) Lady Lucinda and Lord Tom Riddle

Merope was in shock, this was the best day ever! The man she thought was dead, her own father, had now done the most weirdest thing ever, he had returned from the dead. And this happened five years ago. `why haven't anyone told me sooner?´ was all she could think about sd she got her clothes and got into the shower. She could open the other presents laters.

[[Click]] She had grown a lot older during the last couple of years. Her hair are longer and she looked older, her figure remained always slim and tanned and athletic and she kept her amazingly, good grades, which is mostly at O's, it was just a few times in first to third grade where she got E's. "Merope! Are you coming? The class starts in fifteen minutes, we're late!" She smiled by the sound of her best friend, Rosaline. She took a last look at her letter before she took her bag around her and walked downstairs to the first class, Defence Against the Dark Arts, with Rose.
