Newt class

jess moved her arm and words appeared on the class board the read :
"Magic is what sets folks in the wizarding world apart from their Muggle neighbors. Magic is the heart and soul of the wizarding culture in the same way that science and technology are the heart and soul of Muggle culture. Where a Muggle would pound a stake into the ground using a sledge hammer (a simple machine), a wizard would use a wand. Both the Muggle and the wizard view their choice of tool as completely and utterly logical and ordinary, although each would find the other's tools fascinating and even mysterious. " Standing back she smiled "that should get them thinking for a second "she said sitting down as she placed books on each desk moving certain desks around.

Sarah walked into the NEWT class of History of magic. She smiled at the professor. " Hello Professor." She said smiling and took her seat, then read the board. She studied it and put her quill, and notebook on her desk. She looked her hands " What will be learning today?" She asked her professor softly.

Ami walked into class and noticed one other person. Taking the seat in the far back she pulled out her books, parchment and quill. Ami rolled her eyes, "early again. I can't even be late after being in the hospital wing for a week." she muttered.

Aden walked into the classroom this was the only class he happened to not be behind in, but as soon as the lesson started he would be. “Hello Proffesor” Aden said as he took his seat in the direct middle of the classroom hoping like always some girl would come sit with him. Aden opened his note book and wet his quill, then he began to write what was on the board. He thought it seemed more of a muggles studies intro than a history of magic one, but he would see where she took it from there.

Mariana skipped into the classroom with her backpack on her back. She didn;t like much this class although she decided to keep it for herself and try it. "Morning Professor." she said taking a seat next to Aden.

jess looked at each person walking threw the door "good morning all" she said with a friendly smile "now I'm new to this so forgive me if i go wrong , please feel free to correct me if i do" standing back in front of the board she waved her wand again and more writing came up:


Over a thousand years ago, the four greatest witches and wizards of the age shared a dream, to create a school where young people of the wizarding world could study and be trained in the magical arts they needed to become skilled, fully-trained wizards. These four great wizards each founded one of the Houses of the school that they worked together to form: Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. They have been referred to as 'The Hogwarts Four.'

For a number of years, this arrangement worked just fine. Each of the founders took a group of students to be in their own house and even though they had differences of opinion about who should be trained, the house system helped them all to work together. However, as the years went by, the differences between Gryffindor and Slytherin became a serious rift. Eventually Slytherin left the school.

Stepping back she nodded "ok , read that and then put in your own words what describes each of the four wizards and no copying, please, for now this is just a start"

Mariana read the lines.She was aware of this part of history although she wouldn't really guess how to preformulate it in her own words so she decided to wait and see someone doing it before her.

Ami looked at the board and read it, then started writing.

Aden raised his hand he knew exactly how he would phrase it seeing as no one else in the class was even trying to answer the question that she had purposed. On top of that his house needed points bad and Aden hoped this would be a good way to score some. Aden wrote down his own words so that he would not forget while he was waiting on Professor Darkangel to call on him. Adens right hand was hurting a little so he braced it with his left arm crossing over his head to aid.

jess saw Aden raise his hand "yes Aden" she asked k looking in his direction seeing his hand raised. Sonja had not been feeling well for two days she had put it down to being stressed with starting the class, but now found her stomach turning as she stood.
