"I did," Angus said. "I had Jack hurl Ollivander's store counter at him, and then I chucked my homemade spear at him. I think we pissed him off, but hopefully, we've driven him away for awhile. Jack set a cleaning up spell in place before we left, so hopefully, when Ollivander returns, he isn't going to be terribly put out with us." Without thinking he reached up to yank the wand fragment out of his arm when, at that moment, Robert came in unannounced.
"Don't you dare," Robert told Angus. "Do let me take that out. There's no way for you to know if you can do it safely or whether you'll bleed out trying it. When you get your healer's certification, then feel free to do surgery on yourself. Until then, do let me do it." As Robert walked by marcus, he paused and pushed marcus's ice pack aside and laid his hand on the back of marcus's head to reduce the goose egg there and to relieve the fierce headache marcus had and put the ice pack back. "Give it a little. It'll clear up. No concussion, just a hard knock. You okay otherwise?"
"Fine, thanks," Marcus said.
"Good. Let me go check the pirate," Robert said. He went over to Angus, took out a pair of scissors, and cut Angus's peacoat from him and then his sweater.
"I liked that coat and that sweater," Angus sighed.
"Buy more," Robert said. "These two things are done for. Be glad it wasn't your duster. Well, it actually isn't so terrible. Just a through-and-through flesh wound. You've had worse just in sparring. However, since it will be messy to get this thing out, let's go upstairs for a few minutes to take care of it. I'll bring him back, Ruby, after I put a plaster on him."
Robert took Angus upstairs to tend to the wound.
