Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Invisible Problems Empty Invisible Problems

Post by Maddie Kane Tue May 16, 2023 1:02 pm

Ever since the last time she had talked to Mason, Maddison couldn't shake the nagging feeling of his increasing distance. Their once close connection had become a mere shadow of what it used to be. The conversation she overheard between Mason and Brynnley only heightened her suspicions, stirring up a storm of doubt and insecurity within her.

In an attempt to gather her scattered thoughts, Maddison mustered up the strength to venture beyond the confines of her room. Clad in her comfiest sweater, one that enveloped her like a comforting embrace, she embarked on a journey to find some semblance of peace.

However, her steps were halted prematurely as she found herself instinctively drawn to the flickering flames of the common room fire. Sitting there, transfixed by the dancing embers, she allowed her imagination to run wild, conjuring up vivid scenarios of what Mason and Brynn could be scheming behind her back.

Each crackle of the fire mirrored the crack in her heart, and the tears she tried to hold back flowed freely. Maddison's mind raced, desperate for answers that seemed to slip further away with each passing moment. The weight of uncertainty bore down on her, leaving her feeling hollow and vulnerable.

Lost in her own sea of emotions, she longed for solace, for a reprieve from the ceaseless ache that plagued her. The warmth of the fire provided a temporary respite, offering a sense of comfort amidst the chaos that had consumed her existence. It became her refuge, a place where she could escape from the painful reality, if only for a little while.

Wrapped in her thoughts and the warmth of her sweater, Maddison's mind continued to wander, entangled in a web of unanswered questions and unspoken truths. The fire crackled on, its gentle glow illuminating her face, as she searched for the courage to confront the unknown and seek the closure she so desperately craved.

Invisible Problems Empty Re: Invisible Problems

Ciara had been having her own thoughts about how things were going. She had other day met this girl. Someone she actually like to spend time with. She just wasn't sure what this feeling really was. She had never felt like this before.

She wondered into the common room. This is where she saw Maddie, her friend. She seemed to be really deep in her thoughts. She was bit conserned about her. She sat down next to Maddie. She looked at her.

"Maddie, are you okay?" she asked the girl. She barely saw her here in the common room usually. This girl spent most of her days with Mason, her boyfriend. Today seemed like something was wrong. She just hoped everything was okay.

She ended up hugging Maddie here now. She just wanted to be there for her friend. She felt like she needed this.

Maddison's mind finally snapped out of its melancholic haze as she felt the comforting embrace of Ciara's arms enveloping her. "Oh, hello, Cia," she uttered softly, finding solace in the warmth of her friend's presence.
Maddison's gloomy state of mind momentarily took a backseat as she noticed the worry etched across Ciara's face. Suppressing her own emotional turmoil, she mustered a faint smile and leaned into her friend's comforting embrace. softly, her voice tinged with a touch of concern, "Are you okay?" She asked
Maddison's heart ached at the sight, realizing that her own worries were overshadowed by her genuine care for her friend. "Oh, i’ll be fine," Maddison spoke realizing what Cia had said before hugging her, her voice infused with quiet determination. "You look really worried."

Ciara looked at the friend who she just now had hugged. She could tell something was off. She knew Maddie quite well by now and this wasn't usual her really.

"I'm okay yes," she said and looked at Maddie when she said things will be fine. "Something is off here. You know you can trust me," she said with a small smile on her face. She will always be tehre for her friends. She and Maddie had became it.

Loyalty, the cherished virtue that permeated the essence of every Hufflepuff, held Maddison in its firm embrace. She was known for her unwavering commitment to friendship, always offering a dependable shoulder to lean on. In a moment of vulnerability, she turned to her closest confidante, Cia, her eyes brimming with concern and her lips forming a delicate, yet weary smile.

"I have faith in you, Cia," Maddison whispered, her voice tinged with fragility. "But something feels awry within my heart. I can't help but notice that Mason has been elusive lately, intentionally avoiding me. And to my dismay, Brynnley was shamelessly flirting with him the other day."

Her words hung in the air like a soft sigh, and Maddison drew herself inwards, wrapping her arms around her knees, seeking solace within her own embrace. Her gaze, filled with unspoken longing and a hint of desperation, sought solace in the compassionate eyes of her friend.
