Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Alex trudged wearily towards the Owlery for his next detention, after enduring a long day of classes. His twelve remaining detentions loomed ahead of him, each one feeling more daunting than the last. As he ascended the winding staircase that led to the Owlery, he braced himself for the task at hand.

As he stepped into the Owlery, he was hit with a pungent odor that made him wince. The air was thick with the stench of bird droppings, and feathers were strewn everywhere, clinging to the floor and walls. Small, lifeless rodents were scattered about, adding to the unpleasantness of the scene. The chill breeze that blew through the high windows of the tower did nothing to help the situation; it only served to make Alex's fingers feel like blocks of ice.

Feeling frustrated and resentful, Alex looked around for a distraction. Picking up a loose pebble, he threw it hard against the wall, a small act of rebellion against the seemingly endless task before him. He couldn't help but wonder if he had something better to do with his time than cleaning up this disgusting mess.

Jakob had spent most of his night writing a letter to his parents. They had been complaining that Jakob hadn't wrote a message in ages to them, but he had been caught up with his schoolwork. He had some time before his next practice on the pitch, and he knew that would be the perfect time to write a letter to his parents.

He made his way to the Owlery, and could smell a foul scent. It made Jakob nearly puke in his mouth. "Stupid first years, trying to make a name for themselves. It's truly pitiful." he said with a sigh. He casted a charm that helped him against the foul scent, and while he was in the hallway he spotted Alexander Greengrass.

"You look okay, Greengrass?" asked Jakob.

At the sound of his name, Alexander turned around with a scowl on his face. "What?" he responded curtly, his irritation evident in his tone. "Detention," he grumbled, lifting up the broom to start cleaning up the mess on the floor. "Foul birds," he muttered under his breath, his annoyance apparent as he surveyed the bird droppings that littered the room. When he noticed Sallow's presence, he asked with feigned interest, "What brings you here?" His eyes followed the path of the owls swooping in and out of the open windows in the stone walls, their droppings falling sporadically and adding to the mess. Alex's body language and tone suggest that he is feeling annoyed and disgruntled by the situation.

Jake knew that Alexander had a lot of issues to say the least. His response to him made him let out a chuckle. “Did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed?” he asked with a raised eyebrow. Alexander always seemed to be in a bad mood. “You’d think you would smile more? I suppose you find your anger to be attractive.” spoke to Jake as he got closer. When Alexander asked why he had been his here. “I am here to send a letter to my parents.” he said as he held the letter up.

Alexander let out an exasperated sigh, his frustration palpable as he looked over at Sallows. "You really think anyone would be in a good mood cleaning up this crap?" he asked, his tone laced with challenge. He couldn't figure out what Sallows' problem was, but he suspected that the man had come to the classroom to correspond with parents who actually cared about their children. Alexander angrily swept at the droppings and other debris that littered the floor, his movements becoming more forceful as his annoyance grew.

Jakob knew that Alexander had been in trouble quite a bit. "Well you should have been smarter about breaking rules." he said giving a bit of an eye roll. He didn't care for following rules, but he at least knew how to break rules discreetly, and he didn't get how people found it incredibly hard to follow rules. "You deserve it let's be fair." he commented.

Alexander let out another exasperated eye-roll. Jakob's arrogant demeanor never sat well with him, despite acknowledging his own occasional arrogance. "You have no idea what you're talking about," he retorted, personally feeling that he had already endured enough consequences for the same reason that brought him here today. "Nobody deserves this, except maybe Muggles who lack magic to make things easier for them," he added, his words laced with a hint of bitterness.

Jakob rolled his eyes at Alexander's outburst, "You must have not taken your medication today." said Jakob with a little bit of a smirk on his face as he watched him. He loved to press people's buttons and see what he got out of it. "Now you know they may be inferior, but no one deserves to do slave work. You know one day they might come after you, and use far more advanced weapons than you'll ever dream of." spoke Jakob with a laugh.

Alexander's face contorted with frustration, a low growl escaping his lips as he glared at Sallow. "Just send your blasted letter already and clear out!" he grumbled under his breath, his narrowed eyes piercing through the air. He furiously swiped at the mess scattered on the floor, determined to clean the owlery without relying on magic.

The sounds of rustling parchment and the scratching of a quill filled the air as another student, seemingly oblivious to Alexander's irritation, hastily penned a letter to their parents. Each stroke of the quill felt like a deliberate interruption, further fueling Alexander's grumpy mood. He huffed audibly, his annoyance palpable as he continued his laborious task.

Despite his frustration, Alexander begrudgingly accepted the responsibility of tending to the owlery without magic. He knew it was an essential chore, but on days like these, his patience wore thin, and every menial task seemed to amplify his irritable state.
