Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Neurotic to the bone, no doubt about it Empty Neurotic to the bone, no doubt about it

Post by Jack Dyllan Sun May 14, 2023 4:27 pm

Jack had put out the call to her team, and to the other team captains, that the loaner brooms were all in desperate need of servicing. All of the teams used the loaners, either to maintain the longevity of their own brooms, or when there’s were in need of repair. And then there were the students who couldn’t afford their own broom. Jack, despite her dedication to the craft, had not been able to afford her own broom until fifth year, and that had been a used broom that was hardly an upgrade. Now she had her own but she had not forgotten the loaners that had done her so well.

She’s brought her own broomstick maintenance kit, as well as the one stored with the loaner brooms. The brooms had all been lain out on the stands and everything was set up and ready well before the time she had established. In truth, she didn’t expect much of a turnout, especially from any of the other teams.

But she’d be here until every single broom was back in its best condition. She flexed the tail twig trimmers and started on the Comet in front of her.

Post by Tessa Sallow Wed May 17, 2023 8:18 pm

Tess always had some of the best of the best when it came to Quidditch equipment. She spent all of her summers trying to go to Quidditch camps and all that fun stuff. Today she was going to get some rounds in on the Quidditch pitch, and hoped she wouldn't have to hear Jack always harping on her a lot, since Tess liked to think she knew what she was doing. Although once she got notified to meet Jack on the Quidditch, Tess ended up reluctantly agreeing.

She had made her way to out to the pitch, and saw Jack had a set up. "How much of our team do you expect to show up?" she said with a lot of fustration crossing her arms.

Jack glanced up at the sound of an approach and if she weren’t Captain she might have groaned. Of all the people to actually show, Jack wasn’t sure she would have guessed Tessa Swallow if she’d been given a dozen guesses.

But the girl had shown, and Jack filed that away. Huh, maybe she actually did care about the sport more than shopping… or dating… or whatever rich kids did in their spare time.

“None of ‘em,” Jack called back, continuing to prune the broomstick tail she was working on. “Expectations are the death of hope.” Her depressing goth muggle neighbor had told her that. Interesting girl.

Jack reached into her kit and grabbed a sealed bottle of polish, tossing it towards Tess. “The Cleansweeps are especially rough,” she instructed.

Kole, with an unwavering, endearing grin, bounded down to the Quidditch pitch. The vibrant green grass stretched out before him, inviting him to embark on another thrilling practice session. Jack, the unwavering leader of their team, had requested the school brooms be serviced, and Kole, always eager to fulfill the captain's wishes, stepped up to the task with unwavering enthusiasm.

“Hello Ladies,” he greeted Tessa and Jack. The atmosphere buzzed with anticipation, the air filled with the energy of a team ready to conquer the skies. Picking up a broom with a firm grip, Kole found a comfortable spot near the team's equipment stash, surrounded by the familiar scent of polished wood and fresh grass.

With deliberate movements, Kole began his meticulous servicing routine. He carefully inspected each broom, his hands gliding over the sleek surfaces, ensuring they were in optimal condition. His dedication to detail was mirrored in the focused expression that crossed his face, his determination evident in every stroke of the brush.

"Dyllan, Sallow, Kane," Cillian greeted his teammates with a charismatic smile as he confidently strode out onto the Quidditch pitch. The familiar excitement of being back on the field surged through his veins, igniting the fiery passion that defined him as a Gryffindor. "Just the Gryffindors? Looks like we'll have to show the other houses what we're made of," he playfully remarked, rolling his eyes in mock exasperation.

Cillian's eyes scanned the rows of brooms lined up, his gaze landing on one that called out to him. With a swift and purposeful stride, he approached the broom and gracefully scooped it up. He could immediately sense its potential, but also recognized the need for some improvements. Taking a seat among his teammates, he began to inspect the broom, his mind already buzzing with ideas on how to enhance its performance.

As his fingers deftly moved across the broom's handle, Cillian's determination sparked. He meticulously reshaped the tail of the broom, carefully crafting a streamlined angle that would optimize its aerodynamics. With each adjustment, he envisioned the broom slicing through the air with unparalleled speed and precision. Cillian's hands moved with a blend of expertise and artistry, showcasing his innate connection with magical objects and his unwavering attention to detail.
