Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Cecilia found herself unable to sleep, even though it was too late to go to the library. Her mind was racing with thoughts, and she couldn't seem to turn them off. Instead, she settled into a high back armchair, pulling her legs up into the seat with her and opening a book.

The room was dimly lit by the flickering flames of the fireplace, providing just enough light for Cecilia to read by. The book in her hands was the one she had seen a girl reading in the courtyard, about anamagi. It was a fascinating topic, and Cecilia found herself engrossed in the pages.

As she read, she couldn't help but wonder about the possibilities of becoming an Animagus. The thought of being able to transform into an animal at will was both exhilarating and terrifying. She wondered what kind of animal she would be, and what it would be like to experience the world from a different perspective.

It was one of those nighst when Tiffany couldn't sleep. She had been turning around her bed for so long time already. The girl just had so much in her mind. Most of it was all about her studies.

So the girl just walked out of her dorm room towards the common room. This where she saw this girl in her own year. "Oh hey Cecilia," she ended up saying with a small smile "Can't sleep either?" she asked when she sat down to this another armchair in the room.

Cecilia's attention was immediately drawn away from her book as she heard someone call her name. She jumped slightly at the sound and turned to see Tiffany approaching her.

"Oh, hey Tiffany," Cecilia greeted her, trying to hide the fact that she was startled. She returned her gaze to the book in her hand and sighed. "Yeah, I know what you mean. It's hard not to overthink things sometimes."

She gave up on reading and closed the book, laying it in her lap. Turning back to Tiffany, she asked, "What about you? What's been on your mind?" Cecilia was curious to hear what her friend had to say and hoped that they could share their thoughts and maybe help each other through their current struggles.

Tiffany smiled at the girl, when she did spoke to her. To be honest it was proabbly nice to talk with somone. She hasn't done it that much lately.

"I'm just worried about these exams. As yeah I have never been very good at half of my classes. Just magic is hard," she said with a sigh there. "I know mostly theory but I lack so much in practise parts," she added with a sigh.

Cecilia nodded attentively, her eyes fixed on her housemate as she spoke. "I get it, tests can be really stressful," she empathized, "Maybe I could help you with it?" she offered, a gentle smile forming on her lips. "I could use some more practice with it myself," she added, hoping to make the offer sound more genuine. this talking thing was still harder than Margo made it seem.

Tiffany looked at the girl and wondered how much she can help her. "Well you can try. I just not sure how tho," she said with a sigh there now. "And we shouldn't practise magic on each other," she added with a sigh. She knew this much.

Cecilia couldn't help but let out a small giggle at Tiffany's suggestion, feeling a sense of relief at the idea of not having to practice on each other. "Yeah, that's a good idea," she said, nodding her head in agreement. "There are some training dummies around the school that we could use as targets instead."

The sound of her own laughter surprised Cecilia, but it also felt good to finally let loose and enjoy herself for a change. She hoped that this would be the start of a new, more positive chapter in her life at the school.

Tiff smiled at the girl. She was glad taht she agreed on not practicing on each other. "Good," she said simply. She smiled when she mentioned practicing dummies, the girl nodded her head on that. "Oh yes, sure lets go there. Even if should we go there at this late?" she asked being curious about it.

Tiffany didn't really have that many friends too. She has been too focused on her studies too. She is trying to be more social too these days.

Cecilia's smile widened as she looked at Tiffany. "Probably not tonight," she said, her voice warm. "I don't like to get in trouble."

She hesitated, not wanting to delve into the reasons behind her reluctance to break rules. It was a behavior she had learned the hard way growing up, even when she hadn't intended for anything to happen. But she trusted Tiffany enough to share a glimpse of her struggles.

"After all," she added with a small shrug, "Curfew is a big rule to break."

Tiffany had never broken rules and doesn't want to start now. So she just nodded her head. "Maybe tomorrow, after our classes?" she suggest something now.

Seemed like better idea than going now. Breaking rules wasn't in her plans at all.

"Oh yeah it is, I agree," she said with a smile on her face. She sat down back to her armchair. "What you were reading before I walked in?" she asked to chanegs the topic for now.
