Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

giant squid Empty giant squid

Post by Alexander Greengrass Fri Mar 31, 2023 3:21 pm

As Alex approached the black lake, he noticed the sparkling blue water reflecting the sunlight, and a gentle breeze rippling the surface. He made his way down to the water's edge, finding a spot to sit on a large rock near the shore.

As he pulled out his snack, a school of small fish swam up to the surface, nibbling at the crumbs he tossed their way. Suddenly, a large tentacle emerged from the water, grasping at the food. Alex jumped back in surprise as the giant squid's massive body emerged from the depths.

The monster's eyes fixed on Alex as he held out a piece of food, and tentatively it took the offering. With a sudden whoosh, the squid dove back into the water, its body creating a huge splash that sent waves crashing against the rocks.

Alex continued to toss pieces of food to the creature, watching in awe as it gracefully moved through the water, its tentacles rippling like ribbons in the wind. The giant squid seemed to be enjoying the meal, and its movements became more playful as it twirled and spun in the water.

Michelle just ended up outside to get some fresh air. It had been so damn noisy for her in the castle. She needed some time for herself. So she was just walking on the ground until she was near the lake. She sighed when she saw there was someone.

The girl walked closer and saw this boy feeding the squid, this gigantic one. "Woah," she said. When she looked at the boy, he had to sigh again. It was Alex. The boy from her house. She wasn't sure what to think about him yet. He was cute but she had most of the time stayed away from him.

"How you ended up feeding him?" She tried to be friendly to him for now. Will she always be friendly to him. Depends on so many things.

As the person drew near, the crunch of grass gave way to the shifting of sand underfoot. Alexander turned his attention away from his current playmate and held up a piece of bread. "He likes toast," he said in response to the newcomer's unspoken query. It was Michelle Cuffe, and her presence elicited a smirk from Alex. "So, what have you been up to?" he asked, recalling his conversation with her brother from the previous night. The older boy had expressed his disapproval of Alex talking to his sister, but he didn't care. Alex was determined to keep things interesting, even if it meant ruffling a few feathers. "Anything interesting going on?"

"I see. Good to know," he said about the squid but when the boy asked about her then she just kept looking at the squid's direction. Why was he so interested in her. "Nothing, nothing at all. Nothing interesting at all," she said there like she was not up to anything at all. Yes she had gone to find this ghost hanging room with Maddie. But no Alex didn't have to know about it. She didn't trust this guy at all. "What about you?"

Alex raised an eyebrow at the girl and questioned, "Are you sure about that?" He tossed out a name, "What about that friend of yours? Maddie, isn't it? The blonde one who's apparently dating your brother." Leaning forward, he propped his elbows on his knees and clasped his hands together. "She isn't half bad looking. And neither are you," he added with a sly smile. His gaze shifted to the water, where the squid's tentacles had reached out to the shore, almost as if searching for more toast. "I'm all out, dude. Maybe I'll bring you some more tomorrow," he said as he patted the squid's slimy skin, causing it to withdraw back into the water.

Michelle looked at the guy. When she heard what he said about her friend Maddie and her brother Mason. She took a deep breath and wondered how the heck stay calm here now. "thanks for saying were cute, thanks for that dude. But my brother and her aren't together. It's just rumours," she said to the boy in a very straight voice and crossed her arms. "So please don't believe those things. If you don't know nothing then please don't spread the rumours," she added. To be honest she didn't like how this boy tried to hit on her.

Alex approached the girl and tilted his head down to meet her gaze. "I'm not too familiar with those rumors," he admitted before adding, "but I did see them together the other day." When he brought up the topic to her brother in the common room, Alex noticed that he became very defensive. "He even went as far as threatening me if I ever laid a finger on you," he said, mimicking the girl's crossed-arm posture. "Do you really want your brother to dictate who you can and can't spend time with?" Although he wanted to brush a strand of hair away from her face, he resisted the urge as it seemed like she wasn't receptive to physical touch at the moment.

Michelle looked at the guy. She took a deep breath. The nerve of this guy. "Yes he won't say who I can date or hang out but dude really you think I want you?" She was so badly holding back right now but when the dude touched her hair. She ended up punching him with his knee into place where it hurts most for boys. "But never touch me again. Understood? Or it can be more worsw next time," she said with a smirk.

Oof, Alexander fell to the ground groaning in pain. That hurt but damn that was hot, a girl who could take care of herself. “Yeah got it babe.” Alex responded to her threat. He got the message, keep his hands to himself. He liked the challenge of getting the girls to fall for him, and lately he had a lot of challenges. It seemed like every girl he came into contact with was rejecting him. “Keep my hands to myself. You can take care of yourself without your brother fighting your fights.” once the pain subsided enough he stood up again and took a step back so he wasn’t so close to her.

Michelle looked at the guy in the pain with a smirk on her face. "Oh yes, I can defend myself. Don't forget that," she said with a smile. "Also if you think I will fall for you. Dude you can only dream about it," she added to him. She would never fall for guy like him.
