Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

She slept through History of Magic.

She was a bit of an insomniatic, often exchanging sleep for Quidditch or mischief. Late night was the only time she ever had motivation to do homework either, as it often took that last minute stress to force her to even make the attempt. But the knowledge that she would be heading into the forest after a gruelling practice (the second of the day because she was a maniac) coupled with the relaxation of an afternoon high was enough to convince her she deserved the nap.

Besides, it’s not like she was ever properly awake during History of Magic.

She showered the sweat from practice off after dinner, before slipping outside. Most of the students were heading in and soon the Caretaker would begin a sleep to make sure everyone was inside. She had told Matt when and where to meet her, but here she was a full half hour early - and people said she wasn’t responsible.

She reached the Quidditch locker rooms and decided to kill some time by jumping on one of the practice brooms, her own locked upstairs in her room. She stayed low to the ground, wanting to stay hidden from any wandering staff, and kept it loose and slow, not looking to wear herself out before the adventure.

It struck her that she was not someone people hung out with, not on purpose. She couldn’t remember the last time she had made a plan with someone that wasn’t Quidditch practice. Even among people who would hazard calling her a friend (putting a lot of work on that word) time spent together was typically unplanned and spontaneous. She pulled people into random adventures, often running into the library to ask for help with a prank, or mentioning after class, “Come on, the elves made cupcakes, let’s go eat them all right now.”

So this was… different.

So what's the point of finding calm, when calm to me is unsettling?

She did a barrel roll.

Rock on.
