Sweet Tooth

Finn had, had a rather demanding week at work. It was one of those weeks, where nothing quite went the way you wanted and honestly, you’d rather forget about it than even mention it to someone. The highlight of his week was he had picked a small blonde haired miniature of him for the week. He loved the moments he got to spend with his son. They were some of the best moments he could think of and they were definitely not frequent enough. Not by any fault of his own. His mother, having left Finn after she had discovered Finn was a wizard had practically demanded that Aiden be brought up among muggles and that he was too dangerous to have him for any real extended period of time. Although, Finn knew better.

So, now that Finn had his son, he decided to take him on a small trip to Hogsmeade because quite honestly Honeydukes had the best candies anywhere that he could find. Quite often he found himself going there for crystallized pineapple which was a particular favorite of his. He remembered his trips to Hogsmeade quite fondly and had taken it upon himself to frequent Honeydukes whenever he needed something sweet.

Holding the small child’s hand he made his way into the village. From the looks of it, the term had just started at Hogwarts. He wondered if the feasts were just as extravagant as they had been a few years prior when he was in school. He was lost in thought when he heard the small child trying to call his attention as he promptly walked into someone. “Oh!” he exclaimed, “I’m so sorry.”

Head Girl..

She made Head Girl!  Her, Sophia Annabelle Roxanne Granger made Head Girl! She couldn't believe it she was beyond excited and happy,  it was a dream of hers to become Head Girl of the school, now she was!  She didn't know why she was so happy and excited,  probably cause she worked so hard on becoming it.   From Prefect to Head Girl she knew she had big shoes to fill, but she was ready for it,  she was up to the responsibility.  How hard it could it be?  It was just like being a prefect but better and more perks, so she knew she'll be fine but she was still nervous.


It was the first Hogsmeade weekend of the term, while Sophia was glad to be back she was exhausted,  it was only the first week and she had homework up the roof.   Although her being a Granger she finished it before coming here but she was so tired, from patrolling to practice to classes and homework she was tired. If it wasn't for her making sure no younger students or those without a signed person slip didn't sneak in, she would be taking a long nap.   Gah.... being a seventh year was tiring, but she sure was going to miss it here,  she didn't want to think about that now she wanted to have fun.

Biting her lip she looked around wondering where to go, deciding on Honeydukes for some chocolate frogs and  crystallized pineapples.  Walking towards the store she bumped hardly into someone as she fell back on her bum.  Brushing her blonde hair out of her eyes she looked up at who she bumped into, god he had gorgeous eyes.   "It's ok, I'm fine I shouldn't have been rushing to get to honeydukes, but you know how it is around here." she said laughing her tinkling bell laugh.

He could see the bustling excitement of several third years who were making their trip into the village for the first time, excited to see something else other than the school during the year. He laughed remembering those days. It felt like it had flown by for him at that point once he had been old enough to go down into Hogsmeade himself. While he didn’t miss having those assignments, he definitely missed the village and the school. Things were much less complicated for him then.

He most certainly did not regret his child, aside from who he had him with. Aiden was the light of his life, and his reason for doing what he was doing. He kept a tight grip on the boy as they walked, almost afraid he would try to run and get lost in the shuffle of the students.

Finn, seeing Sophia fall down felt worse for bumping into her, “I’m so sorry, let me help you up.” He said grabbing her hand while still keeping his other hand holding onto Aiden. He looked into her eyes, “I was just lost…” he trailed off. “Trying to keep ahold of this little guy.” He said as Aiden waved smiling at her.

Aiden looked up at her, “You’re pwetty.” He said to Sophia.

Looking at the man with the most beautiful blue eyes she ever seen, she seen herself blushing. Taking his hand he offered she brushed herself off with her other hand before looking back in his eyes with her chocolate brown ones. "T...Thanks its no biggie, it's a mad house here so I understand. " she said giving him a soft warm smile. Looking at the little boy she smiled down at him, he was the cutest little boy she ever seen.


"Well... aren't you a cutie. " She said looking at Aiden before looking back at Finn. "It's ok really, he's just excited, I know I am I love it here!" She said biting her lip at how packed Honeydukes was. "I hope they have some chocolate frogs left and crystallized pineapples, those are my favorites pity I had to make sure no one was sneaking in here being Head Girl. I would've been the first one in there!" Although now didn't mind now that she met Finn. Looking back at Finn she felt herself stuttering. "I...Is he ok? I can heal him if he's hurt I..I did bump into y'all pretty hardm" she said biting her lip.

Looking back down at Aiden she smiled at him. "M..me pretty? why thank you, but I think you take the gold for the cutest one here." she said winking at him. No one had called her pretty before, even if it came from a little boy she was flattered by it. "Um...y...you're probably busy with your son so I..I'll let you have fun with him." Adjusting her bookbag on her shoulder she looked anywhere but at him and his gorgeous eyes.

Finn watched as Aiden took the moment she spoke to him to hide behind his leg like he was scared. He was excited to be out and about in the wizarding world. The child didn’t get to see enough of it, so every little chance he was in it, he stared with childlike wonder at what was going on around him. Finn had explained to him that all of it had to stay a secret and at his age, if he had said anything, most would just assume he was making up stories.

“That’s actually what we were headed here for.” He told her truthfully. “Well maybe some of their homemade fudge since it’s hard to find good fudge anywhere else.” He looked at her. She looked familiar, then again she would have been a fourth year when he finished so they probably had crossed paths at some point.

“Head girl?” he looked at her. Outside of her robes it was hard to place her, but he remembered her face. “Wait a minute, I know you.” He said finally placing it. “S..Sophia right?” he asked her curiously. “You would have been a fourth year heading into fifth when I finished.”

She was pretty. He had to agree with his son on that. Yes, but she’s still a student you twit. he reminded himself.

Finn smiled, “He didn’t even budge honestly. Just you and I were involved and I’m fine, but are you?” he asked, genuinely wanting to know if she had been hurt.

“The least you could do is let me get your things in Honeydukes since I was the one that ran into you.”

Sophia watched as Aiden hid behind Finn she frowned, she didn't mean to scare him. She couldn't help but not to look down at him and smile before looking back at Finn, he had that adorable childlike wonder that made her smile warmly. She honestly thought it was most adorable thing she ever seen, and she seen some adorable things but this took the cake. Sophia loved kids, she loved working with them and taking care of them, but she also hated healing them cause she hated seeing kids hurt. That was the hardest part of being a healer besides healing her loved ones and friends.


"Oh... good luck, I hope you can get what you want from there, looks pretty packed in there." Looking into the store she frowned to herself, seeing that it more packed she frowned. "The fudge is really good here, one of the best places to get it in my opinion." Sophia looked back at him for a minute before she looked away tucking her hair behind her ear. Did he recognize her? Nah... there was no way he knew who she was, he was like three years older then her.

Nodding at his question. "Yeah... I always dreamed of being one, I couldn't believe it when I did probably more when I made Prefect. " She was really proud of herself, the fact that they picked her out of all the seventh year girls meant alot to her. Sophia looked at him for a minute. Wait... he knows me, h...how? Oh.. shoot he doesn't know that I had a crush on him does he?" she asked herself groaning inwardly to herself. Once again she nodded. "Yup that's me, the one and only Sophia Granger." Laughing her tinkling bell laugh as she said that but it was true. "Yeah I was, I remember you Finn, you were Head Boy weren't you if I wasn't mistaken."


While she thought she was over her she had on him, nope it was coming back just by looking at him. "Give it up girl, he's older then you and he's probably with someone, he has a kid you silly girl!" she thought to herself.


She sighed in relief. "Thank goodness, I would feel so horrible if he was hurt, I hate seeing kids hurt." She said softly but honestly looking at him before looking away biting her lip. "I just got the wind knocked out of me, but I'm ok." Giving him a soft warm smile to let him know that she was ok and fine.


"Y...you don't have to do that, honestly it was just a accident, I got money to pay for my own things so you don't have to."

Finn chuckled at Aiden’s excitement. “Yeah, he doesn’t get to come into our world much unfortunately.” He said sounding extremely sad about that. “Not that I don’t want him to, trust me I do. It’s just he lives with his mum and once she found out what I was, well…she just left saying it wasn’t right.”

He didn’t even know why he was telling her this. Probably because he really hadn’t had anyone to actually say it out loud to. He normally just let people think he was just for a day out with his son. No one in his own work life really knew that he wasn’t with the child’s mother except his family. He chuckled being brought back to reality.

“Yeah, I was Head Boy. Surprised anyone remembers that.” He said honestly. “Definitely wasn’t the most memorable head boy for sure.” Honestly, even as head boy he had rather found himself trying to keep from being seen. Always doing just enough for it to be acceptable. It had honestly surprised him when they had named him head boy in school.

“No, I insist on it.” He offered her a warm smile as Aiden pulled on her pants leg. “Besides, I think you’ve got a new friend now.”

Sophia smiled at Aiden's child like wonder and looked back at Finn nodding.   She frowned listening to him,  well that wasn't very good or fun for a kid as cute as he was.  "Aw... no, that's terrible  I'm glad he's experiencing,  he seems to really love it."  Looking back at Aiden she chuckled, he was just too cute and adorable for words in her opinion,  she couldn't even describe how cute he looked.  "She doesn't like the fact that your a wizard huh?  I don't know why some muggles think magic is so bad and horrible,  it's a wonderful thing to be different and have something special about you."


She didn't know why she was so drawn into him,  he was clearly too old her and had a life,  she was just a student at Hogwarts.   Although she did like the fact that he was older and more mature, it was sure something guys now lack besides a brain in their heads at time,  ok... maybe she had a thing for older guys but was that a bad thing? She didn't think so, but then again she was a bit more odd then all the other girls,  if she was a Disney princess she'll definitely be Belle without a shadow of a doubt. Shaking her head at the thought,  she chuckled to herself snapping back into reality where she belonged.  Although she refused to look into his eyes,   she could easily get lost in them cause they were so gorgeous and the most beautiful shade of blue she ever seen,  they were so soothing and calming to look at.


Laughing her tinkling bell laugh she nodded.  "I remember alot of things really,  I'm just a book worm know it all who was almost a Ravenclaw. " Biting her lip as she said that she looked down at her feet with interest, letting alittle blush escape from her cheek, her hair turning pink from embarrassment.  "Why is that? I thought you were pretty good at it, better then some that I seen that abuse the power they got and go all power hungry ot throws parties because they know they won't get in trouble for it or so."  Rolling her eyes and shaking her head,  she didn't know wnat kind of Head Girl she was, she tried to be nice and fair to everyone.   Although going from Prefect to Head Girl wasn't hard, just a bit more responsibility but hey, she wasn't popular by any means but she didn't care on that she was just her.


Looking up at him and looking into his eyes she nodded giving him a soft warm smile in return.  "Ok...if you insist."  Looking down at Aiden she chuckled seeing him tugging her pant leg.  "Ok.... ok... I'm coming!"

Finn laughed, “The thought absolutely terrifies her.” He said honestly. “What’s worse, is she knows eventually he has to come and be a part of this world, and I don’t think she’s going to be able to handle that.” Aiden’s mum thought that magic was inherently evil and she wanted to keep Aiden from it as much as she could, knowing full well she wasn’t going to be able to. It was a sore point in them trying to raise him as best they could together, while not being together.

Finn was keeping a close hold on Aiden with all the students in Hogsmeade. “Well, honestly probably because I only did just enough for it to be acceptable.” He said truthfully. He was actually glad of that fact. He kept everyone pretty happy with how he handled things. He stayed fair about things, but if it didn’t relate to anything he could handle, he stayed out of it.

Aiden looked up at her, tugging on her pants leg, “You come with us!” he said excitedly as Finn led them into Honeydukes.

“Anything you like, my treat.” He said to Sophia smiling.

Sophia shook her, she didn't understand what was so bad about magic that muggles hated it. "By the sounds of it of you speaking about her it doesn't sound like it, but she can't stop who is it's a part of him." She knew that she would never stop her child from being who they are or what they wanted to become, she couldn't help but not to feel angry at the situation. She was trying her best to keep herself from showing Finn or Aiden she was angry right now, but she was failing miserably. Looking at him with her now red hair she blushed. "Sorry... but that just makes me angry, I would never do that to my child." Calming down her hair changed back to her normal blonde.


Looking around shd kept a close eye on everything like she was suppose to, but she was going to have fun as well. She nodded understanding what he meant, she did that at times when she was just tired and didn't want to do anything. Sophia thought she was fair and handled things just fine, at least she thought she did. She tried not to get herself caught up in the rumors and the drama that was around the school, she stayed out of that and didn't get herself involved in that.


Looking down at Aiden she chuckled. "Ok I'll go with you two " Smiling at him and then Finn she followed them into Honeydukes.

Sophia nodded. "Um... ok thank you." Taking a basket she gotten herself some crystallized pineapples.
