A few folks are getting confused with how this works, so allow me to explain it further.
The first form above is for factions/groups. There are several options.
1. Order
2. Death Eaters
3. Potter's Army
4. Dark Followers
5. Muggles
6. Minister Supporters
7. Anti-Minister
8. Hogwarts Staff Members
If you have characters in any of the above, you will fill out one form for each faction/group. Then you will list each character that applies.
If you have a character that you think would fit a role well, then also fill out the second form. You can send us up to three of these forms, but you should list them in the order of how much you like that role. So, best to least. You CAN use a character in one of these roles if they are also in a faction. Factions do not count as roles specifically, but are listed here so that anyone can find them if they need to.
Let's imagine that my only characters are Adrienne, Oliver, Bentley and Avery. Here's what I would send in:
Faction or Section: Order of the Phoenix
Characters Involved: Oliver, Bentley, Avery
Faction or Section: Death Eaters
Characters Involved: Bentley (He is one of the two double agents we have on the site, so he would be listed in both)
Adrienne doesn't have a faction, so I wouldn't list her at all. But then I would pick my top three. Let's pretend that Leader of the Order is a role on here, although Oliver already holds that slot. I would post my top three, in order from what I want most to my third choice. Obviously, as Oliver is already in the role, that is the one that I would have received after sending in my application. The Admins will compare everyone's choices and try to find a fair balance where everyone gets at least one thing they like. We will do our best to ensure it, but we cannot promise it, even though we wish we could.
1. Character Name: Oliver Connolly
Role They Would Fill: Leader of the Order
Why They Are Fitting: He has taken over for Hallie, essentially, and wants to bring the Order back to its old ways.
2. Character Name: Adrienne Poliakoff
Role They Would Fill: Propaganda Leader
Why They Are Fitting: She already writes for the Prophet, so she could easily just include that in her articles.
3. Character Name: Avery Ivanov
Role They Would Fill: Order Council Member
Why They Are Fitting: She is actually older than most Order members, with experience under her belt, and could be considered cautious enough to make safe choices.
