Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Everything Happens For A Reason Empty Everything Happens For A Reason

Axel walked out of the door with his twin girls, Jane and Kaitlynn, in his arms. He was gonna be taking them to Babbity Rabbity's for lunch. Their birthday was in a few days and he wanted to try to get an idea of what to get them. He didn't know what to get them for their birthday, so he decided that he would take them through the toy store after lunch. It would give him an idea of what to give them because he knew that it would take them several tries before they settled on something they wanted. He would see what they would put back and get that for them for Christmas. He couldn't wait until they were old enough to tell him but for now he was happy with how little they were.

They walked into Babbity Rabbity's looked for a table that would be close to the play area. He found one close to it and smiled as he took the girls over to it. He took off their coats before they could escape into the play area, he smiled as they took off towards the play area. He ordered food for himself and for the girls as well as something healthy for them. They loved berries so get them some then turned his attention to them as they played. He walked closer to the area and ended up knocking into a woman standing near the edge.

"Oh I'm sorry miss. I didn't mean to nearly knock you down," He said with a small smile. He felt embarrassed because he was always clumsy and knocking things over.

Everything Happens For A Reason Empty Re: Everything Happens For A Reason

Post by Avery Bishop Sat Dec 05, 2015 4:18 pm

If there was one thing Avery was glad for in times such as these, it was her daughter. She refused to believe that Robin was dead, just as she once refused to believe that she could be a good mother. She was being tested now, and she couldn't help but feel that karma had a great deal to do with it. Now, as she stood along the edge and watching Ariadne - who seemed to prefer her middle name these days - her life felt too standstill. She should've been out looking for her husband.

But then the unexpected happened. A man knocked into her and made her look up in surprise. He apologized immediately and she realized that it hadn't been a misstep of hers while she was more or less zoned out.

"Oh, don't worry about it," she returned with a small smile. It didn't light up her face like it would have done in the past, but she felt fairly comfortable with the fact that this man might not realize it. There was something familiar about him, but Avery couldn't place it so she instead glanced back towards the group of kids, trying to discern which ones looked the most like the man in question.

Should she pretend to be happy? Avery wasn't sure at all how to act anymore. With some people, pity allowed for more important conversations, but others needed her to be dramatic and determined and having absolutely none of their disinterest or hesitation. Then again, she had no reason to believe that this man could be helpful, regardless of that faint feeling that she should know who he was. Perhaps he knew a friend of hers, or knew Claire. The two sisters weren't so distant as they had been, although Avery wouldn't dare claim that they were close, at least not in the typical way.

But the important part was that she needed to find out if he could be useful to her. That, unfortunately, was the first thing she wondered about everyone she met now. It wasn't fair to any of them, but she couldn't help it anymore.

Deciding that the best route would be to act absolutely pleasant and as though nothing was out of order to a grand extent, Avery chose to go with the farce of a husband having passed a while ago. It was easier to pretend that an imaginary husband had died than that her real one was supposed to be gone. The latter had not become comfortable, even months after she received the note.

"Which one is yours?" she asked, looking at him again, going for small talk. "My daughter is being rather shy today, it seems."

Everything Happens For A Reason Empty Re: Everything Happens For A Reason

"I didn't hurt you did I?" He asked trying to make sure that he didn't do any damage to the woman. He had a horrible sense of balance and it seemed to always cause him trouble. He looked at the group of kids that were playing and noticed one that looked like the woman beside him. He looked around and saw his little girls playing with some kids before they just turned around walking off. He tilted his head as he saw them just start playing together.

He knew that most people wondered why they didn't look like him or where their mother was. He was constantly bombarded by questions about it but he came up with a story about it. People believed the story because he said it in a way that made people drop any further probing about the children. He watched as they giggled and would look over at him every few minutes. The woman beside him however piqued his interest and had him wondering a great many things.

Hearing her question he pointed towards his twins, "The twins there. The ones wearing the tutu's over their pants with the frilly tops. They like to dress themselves and I didn't think that the tutu's were too much of a strange combination." He said smiling softly as he looked at her daughter. "She's beautiful and looks just like you. Are the two of you alone here? Please don't think anything bad I was just wondering if you would like to join us for lunch."

He felt like kicking himself because he sounded like he was rambling on about nothing. His little girls went up and approached the woman's little girl with smiles on their faces. They were trying to see if she wanted to play with them since she was all by herself.
