What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Shop Description



Through the winding alleys Knockturn Alley, past shadowy shapes and poorly-lit pathways, the shop beckons customers with the sounds of creatures chittering, purring and calling.  A wooden sign hangs, cursive painted lettering in a deep indigo naming the shop-- Mooncalves and Manticores. in one window rests a small pen where a tumble of kittens play and purr, next to a large tank filled with several  frogs.  In the other window, a large series of perches hosted by several owls and two glaring fwoopers.

Entering through the door and a soft bell rings, adding to the gentle sounds filling the shop.  Aisles line the walls, towards the front a variety of tanks, cages, perches and pens bearing animals and magical creatures alike.  Towards the back end, one portion of the shop is dedicated to care supplies and animal feed, the other various potion ingredients and items collected from the animals in the shop.  Along the left-hand side runs a counter, a great Augurey glaring from a perch while a massive Maine Coon lays stretched along the books and cashier station.  

Here patrons can find a variety of creatures, most of which are deemed Tradeable by the Ministry, but several creatures pattern the shop with less than legal circumstances.  Andra prides herself in finding mostly any creature for her customers, and should she not have it in the shop a customer only needs to ask and she will work to find a way.

Magical Creatures / Animals Inventory


Mooncalves and Manticores has creatures of all types, though they tend to fall into one of three categories:
1. Non-Magical or Muggle-Friendly (animals that are known in both the wizarding and the muggle worlds)
2. Magical (creatures known only to wizards)
3. Unlisted (creatures not legal to trade or difficult to come by, and therefore are sold in back books and kept in shielded cages)
Listed next to each creature is the quantity one could expect to see on an average day (of course this fluctuates).

Non-Magical / Muggle-Friendly:

Cats/Kittens (5-7, various breeds)
Rats (12+)
Owls (7-9, various breeds)
Crows (2-3)
Ferrets (2-3)

Canaries (8-10)
Fish (many!)

Magical:
Ashwinders (varies by day)
