Okay! So, as we've mentioned before, House Points will be given in single-digit amounts this year, rather than in numbers like "15 points" or more, because it fits the book's rules more properly. That said, we've come up with a contest for all of the students to work together on!
Each house will need to work as a team to earn an extra 50 POINTS towards their total. This is huge, of course, because 50 is a giant number compared to the number a student can earn with a single post or with a correct answer in a class.
Here's how it will work:
Each house has a banner or flag (whichever you prefer to call it!) that is meant to hang above their table in the great hall. But each banner has been cut into 50 pieces and needs to be put back together before it can be hung up again. For every CLASS POST or COUNSELING POST, you'll collect one piece of the flag for your house. You don't need to worry about keeping track, because we'll do so in this post, below.
Ravenclaw: 16/50
Gryffindor: 22/50
Hufflepuff: 16/50
Slytherin: 9/50
Rules:
1. We are counting and post AFTER this thread has been put up, provided they're in classes or a counseling thread. To get a counseling thread, be sure to go through the Hogwarts RP Request area and use the Counseling Request thread. More of those threads will be put up in the coming week, as specified in the first post of that thread
2. Any spamming of threads will lead to those posts not being counted. Be sure to allow everyone a turn in the threads, and be sure to actually contribute to the action in the thread rather than just having your character sit there. We want to help others post and keep the classes interesting! They're far more fun that way.
3. These numbers will probably be updated often, in the evening central time, but there could be a delay based on the Admins' personal schedules.
4. YES, each post does count as a point. Even if you don't win, you still get the points for those posts you've put up! And yes, if you win, you get an EXTRA 50 points. So you get credit for the posts as well as the bonus for winning. Huge advantage, that!
If you have any questions, be sure to post them here so we can try and clarify
