Running errands was a rare pleasure for Melissa Hayes. When she had been younger, she’d hated having to go out and do things such as picking up groceries, buying cleaning fluid and so on – mostly because it, really, had nothing to do with her. As an adult, however, she relished in the novelty of being able to run around Diagon Alley picking up different bits and bobs for home. What she objected to, though, was the weather.

The heavens opened as she emerged from the owl emporium with some feed for hers and Keiran’s feathery friends. She added the feed into the bag she’d gotten from Madam Malkin’s and opened up her umbrella above her head. Her boots stepped into the puddles rising up with the irregularly placed cobbles but as the rain fell she stayed largely dry, allowing her to continue on up through the shopping district unencumbered.

When she reached the entrance to Knockturn Alley, Millie stopped, fondly looking upon the tattoo shop that she’d gotten the wings on her back done in. Stepping into the porch she let down her umbrella and opened the door, the bell ringing up over top. The woman behind the counter smiled warmly at her and Millie returned it brightly as she moved further into the shop, towards the stands where many different options for tattoos were on bits of canvas and laminated sheets.

Setting her bags down briefly, Millie began to flick through the rack, wondering whether she’d indulge herself. She doubted she really needed any more but she was highly tempted, wondering if it was time for some clichéd roman numerals to be put somewhere – on an arm or something. But then it occurred to her that it had been a long time since she’d gotten anything pierced and she’d always wanted some hip bone piercings so alas, she was stuck, unsure what to do.

She was content to look for now, however. In truth, she probably wouldn’t get anything. But who knew?

The day was beautiful when he left The Leaky Cauldron. He spent all day walking through the streets of Diagon Alley. He met some people, bought some things, ate some ice cream... and then it started to rain.

He spent almost 4 years traveling the world so he forgot how the weather in here could be changeable. That is why he didn't brought umbrella. He stood for awhile under some canopy but he was bored so he put his hood and moved on. Soon, he was whole wet, but he didn't really mind it. He was walking slowly, looking at shop windows. He ignored the views when he walked into the candy store. Few minutes later he went out, carrying bags full of chocolates and candyes.

He didn't realize he was in Knockturn Alley until he saw tattoo shop. He can't really remembers his last time in Knockturn Alley, it was long ago. He was just preparing to went back to The Leaky Cauldron when he got an idea. He walked into the tattoo shop. The woman behind the counter looked him suspicious. He didn't blamed her. Instaid, he took his wand and dried his clothing before he approached her.

"I'd love to do a tattoo." he said with smile. She showed him where to sit and told him to wait. While he was waiting he was thinking about tattoo. He had no idea what he wants, he just known he must do it.

The rain continued to fall unabashedly and without any signs of letting up. Passing the time would have to go on under the roof of the tattoo shop. The gentleman that had done hers didn’t appear to be around but the girl behind the counter seemed friendly enough. When another person entered, declaring he wanted a tattoo, Millie felt her lips twitch a little bit in amusement. Had she been the counter girl she would have quipped back at him that he couldn’t just waltz in and get one, he needed to know what. Nevertheless, he took his seat and began to wait. The buzz in the back room, however, meant unless someone else was getting back from lunch soon, it would be a while.

Millie picked out one of the canvases and looked at it, deciding she didn’t like it almost immediately before plopping it back in. Gathering up her bags she made her way over to the bench inside and sat herself down gently next to the man who had entered, so eager for a tattoo. She put her bags down beside her and looked at him, raising a friendly smile to her lips as she percieved that he didn’t look like someone who got tattoos. Yet, neither did she, to be frank. She was beginning to look mumsy now but thankfully with her boots, her dark jeans and her husband’s old university hoodie overtop she offset it somewhat. Friendly though, she did look.

“You want a tattoo,” she hedged, “do you have any idea what of?” She asked him before extending her hand. “I’m Millie.”

It was all funny to him, he felt like a little boy on that chair. While he was sitting ther he changed his mind but he didn't want to leave now. That woman behind the counter was still looking him weird. She would thought that he's crazy, which he probably is. 'Why am I doing this exactly?' He didn't really liked that sound that was coming from the back room. But, now he's here and he'll have to stay. He's not the tip of person who gives up. While he was thinking about how crazy and stupid he is, he was absently watching the tattoos on the canvases. He didn't like them at all but he'll pick something anyway.

He was preoccupied watching the lion tattoo that he didn't noticed when some girl sat next to him. So he was a bit surprised when he looked up and saw a girl who was smiling at him. He blinked few times, he was a little uncomfortable. He didn't like when people watched him like that. So he put on his friendly smile and started playing a game. She had big bright smile, and blond hair. At first look she didn't had the look of someone who would wanted a tattoo, but Chris knew that the look can deceive.

"Yes actually I do." he nodded thoughtfully, then he showed her the lion tattoo "I was thinking about something like this, but I may use panther instead of lion, I could do it on the lower back." he was pretty serious but he was joking. He really didn't know what he wants. They shook hands "I'm Christian, but I prefere just Chris. You're here for tattoo too?"

“My friend has one like that!” Millie enthused excitedly, bouncing a little beside Christian.

Outside, a small rumble of thunder broke overhead. The rain did not show any signs of letting up and in the bright, colourful world of the tattoo shop, she was glad of the dry – perilous though the temptation was. Looking around, finding what was in vogue at the moment hanging from canvases suspended from the ceiling, Millie came to a conclusion what she wanted to get. She’d never indulged in one of the atypical Gryffindor tattoos. She’d always seen and gone for the outlandish.

“Well, I’m very glad to meet you,” Millie admitted with a contented smile.

At his question, Millie gestured up to one of the canvases that held a picture of a pair of wings etched into a back. In fact, squinting up at it, she was sure that it was her back that it was an image of. The little twitch of feathers dancing across the skin when the wings shook made her sure of it and she smirked a little bit, shaking her head before flicking her hand in its direction.

“I have that tattoo,” she explained. “You know the water colour stuff they do now? I’m thinking of getting them coloured in.”

Christian, who was more darker than he looked, didn't used to that much happiness and smiling and looking and being that close to the stranger. But he couldn't resist the smile. This girl was all Christian was escaping from, but then again, she had a spirit like his cousin Hayley. Little Beast, that's how he used to call his little sister. Millie reminded him of her.

"Oh, I was just kidding. I have no idea what I want or why am I even her." he stopped for a moment. The women was still looking at him, he thought about putting his hood back on. "I was thinking about leaving, but it's too late now. Is it?" he looked at her, hoping she'll say no, like she's the one who has to decide. 'Just go you bastard, just get up and leave.'
He couldn't. His pride, his stupid pride. At least he knew what to blame when he leave this shop with some stupid tattoo.
Well, he's here, so it's time to pick something. He could already hear his brother's laugh inside his head. Idiot, idiot, idiot... He knew Seb will tease him till the end of the time unless he do somthing good. Maybe... no that's too stupid. But people do that, right? People tattoo names of the persons that are important to them. So maybe...

“Belive it or not, I'm glad to meet you too,” he said honestly, than added "I was thinking about tattooing a name, too cliche?"

He was studing tattoo for some time, it was pretty. Yes, he admitted, he liked that tattoo. Hey maybe he can do that one insted of name? He smiled to himself. Idiot, Idiot.. he hear Bastiens voice again. He's getting insane, must be because of that stupid Frederico from his room, he has to move that picture, sooner than later.

Millie arched an eyebrow at Chris when he admitted he hadn’t a clue why he was in the shop. To be fair, she hadn’t intended to go inside either had it not been for the rain but now that they were both there, there was a point to using it for its intended function. Millie had decided on what she wanted and she wasn’t entirely sure of the reception it would get when she returned home but she could feel the galleons burning a hole in her purse and she had waited years to fill in the colour of the wings. It was time.

“Cliché but a classic,” Millie smiled, wondering herself whether she’d do the same at some point. Roman numeral dates were equally as clichéd – part of the reason why she’d decided to ditch that idea – but it was a sweet gesture and she was interested to see how he’d do it. He clearly was a virginal aspirant to tattoos and she couldn’t blame him for it. It wasn’t the easiest thing to choose to do. The helpful thing about magical tattoos, though, was with pain potions you didn’t have to worry and the magic used made it all a lot quicker.

“You shouldn’t go,” she piped up. “Get something pierced if you don’t get a tattoo. It won’t be nearly as permanent.”

At that point in time, one of the tattoo artists came out, their patient behind them with their arm wrapped in cling film. They looked weary but pleased and after paying the person left having donned their jacket and stepping out into the rain. Another tattooed individual joined him as another artist came out and then all eyes were on Millie and Christian as they ushered them up out of their seats and into the parlour.

Pleased to be in the black chair again, Millie immediately took herself out of her hoodie, handing it to the artist. Then, tugging off her t-shirt she turned and explained what she wanted done. The artist whistled lowly, assuring her he could do it, and coughed awkwardly that she’d need to take off her bra. She sent him a queer look and rolled her eyes with a smile as the two artists turned their chairs so Millie and Christian could be facing one another.

After swallowing her pain potion and turning onto a blanket her artist had set over the chair, she combed her hair back away from her skin and he set to work with all of his little pots of colour and his wand.

“So, how are you going to do it?” Millie asked, curling her arms together and coming to rest her head on them. Then clarified, "The name, I mean. How're you going to have it look?"

“Don’t look me like that, I guess I was bored.” He shrugged his shoulders. His looked at some canvas and he couldn’t resist ironical smile. There was a wolf who was howling and behind him was a full moon. “I should go with this one.” He said out loud, though he was just kidding. Tattoo was nice, but not for him. He could maybe combines that one with name. In that way maybe his obsession about werewolves will disappear. He'll have on on his shoulder.

He was aware the fact that it was time for letting go, but he wasn't so sure that that tattoo could help him. It could be even worse, like the remainder, especially if he add the name. So at the end, he gives up. He won’t tattoo that one.

“I’m not so sure about name anymore. The wolf is nice, but I don’t want it either. You probably noticed but I never really loved tattoos. So, I’m back at square one again.” He sighed, he was usually very fast in making right decisions, but know, he wasn't so sure.

“Oh come on! Look at me, can you imagine me with piercing.” he laughed. He was one hundred percent sure that he’ll never pierced anything. But on the other hand, he thought he'll never get a tattoo either. “By the way can you erase one if you don’t like it? I mean, if I get a tattoo now, can I erase it later?”

He can’t say he was scared of doing a tattoo, but he felt strange when second artist came out. He actually felt some kind of relief, maybe because now he has to choose something or maybe because he loved unknown. Anyway, he was walking slowly, next to Millie, thinking as fast as he could. If he tattoo name than he will do it somewhere on his arm, but he wanted something on his back, right shoulder. When they came into room, Millie sit in one chair so he followed her step.

He did not felt any kind of excitement, but it reminded him on his childhood, on that moments while he was doing something really stupid. Back then it felt great but now? Huh. The artist was asking him about tattoo but Chris didn't really had any answer. He told him about where he wanted a tattoo, but the artist was persistent. Chris looked at Millie with raised eyebrows. “Help.” he said quietly so that only she can hear him.

The artist gave him his potion and he drank it in one sip. It was too sweet for his taste but it felt good. “I have no idea. I’m not sure about name anymore.” While he was talking he realised that the artist was waiting for further instructions. “You know what? As a child I always liked dragons so go ahead.” He took off his shirt and show him the place where he wanted a tattoo. “I don’t care if he has a wings or not, or if it’s just a head or whole body, just do it however you want.” He took the same position as Millie, leaving the artist to do his job.
