James is fairly tall, standing at 6’2. His body is lean with wiry muscles and in good shape. His eyes are dark, almost brooding. He keeps his black hair is short and styled into a quiff. An olive complexion means he looks almost exotic, a gift from his Italian mother. His appearance is always tidy and professional. He dislikes having a clean-shaven face but always keeps his stubble short and well maintained. His features are made more angular by his high cheekbones. There are two scars across his left cheek, both about an inch or so long. He has a slight frown wrinkle between his eyes. He has a charming, crooked smile. PERSONALITY:
James is not a good person. He’s greedy and manipulative. He is vain and superficial, it’s all about looks and blood status for him. He surrounds himself with beautiful purebloods for company, although women are a mere object to him and they are tossed away when they are no longer useful. He knows that his parents will soon find him a suitable wife but until then he allows himself to be fickle. James is easily angered and spiteful. He isn’t direct about his revenge. He enjoys watching people suffer so he drags it out for as long as possible. He is very familiar with the Unforgiveable curses and isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty. He is temperamental and, on the rare occasion that he is happy, he becomes somewhat childlike. James is a private person mostly, never divulging into the full story or his background.
James has a couple of somewhat redeeming qualities. His little sister is the only person in the world that he cares for more than himself. She’s spoilt and bratty and he gives her everything she wants. Much like he is really. She is his partner in crime. When he finds something he likes, he becomes very possessive. This is both a good and bad thing. Whilst he decides it is his property, he will protect it with his life. He is fiercely loyal to a select few. Unfortunately, this possessive trait can sometimes lead to an obsession however.
He would rather die than admit it, but James very much wants a family. Pure blood, of course. He will probably settle one day for someone his parents choose. Ideally, he wants a wife who is just as beautiful as she is dangerous and smart. He wants someone nurturing who will raise their children with discipline and love. Having seen what happens when a child get everything they want - Vespera -, and even though he is half to blame, James believes telling a child off is important. They will need to share the same ideals, but she would need to challenge him and drive him a little crazy. He is yet to find such a woman, however, and until then sticks with the half-wits that beg for his company.
If he didn't follow a lawyer path, he would have liked to become a curse breaker or an alchemist. Whilst he truly believes magic blood is superior, can one really blame him with the things a witch or wizard can do? Sure, if there weren't any muggles in the world, magic might seem less special. But he dreams of a world with limitless magic, where witches and wizards never have to hide and their less evolved human counterparts are merely a memory. In his spare time, he reads books on alchemy and practises the art.

Early Years:
James Patrick Lynch III is the eldest child to James and Teodora Lynch. He was born with a silver spoon in his mouth and never wanted for anything. Within ten years, his three younger siblings were born. James was always destined to be head of the family but his father also decided he should run for Minister for Magic. From a young age, he was groomed for a position of power. He believes it his responsibility to keep magic folk away from mixed blood. He was enrolled in Hogwarts from birth, as were all of his siblings.
Hogwarts Years:
His Hogwarts years were good to him. He was used to getting what he wanted and mastered the art of manipulation very quickly. His father’s position in the magical world meant he was always well looked after. He excelled in Potions, Arithmancy and Alchemy, but was useless in any sort of ancient studies or Transfiguration. In his seventh year, he was appointed Prefect. He practised silent spells relentlessly until he could perform them. One never knows when it may come in handy.
Adulthood:
After graduation, life for James began to peak. He took over the west wing of the family mansion as his own until he claims the deed for the entire property. He followed a career in law and started working in a firm and was quickly made partner.He was officially accepted into the Death Eaters. Though he is not included in the inner circle, he is well trusted to take care of a myriad of jobs; from keeping his fellow Dark Lord followers out of Azkaban to silencing problematic people and removing evidence. He since has enjoyed a revolving door of women and taken full advantage of his social status.------------------------------------------------------------

PURPOSE OF CHARACTER:
To cause havoc with him and be a little different. I want to find a character to challenge and compliment him. Also, his character is a little bit of a change from my usual. I'd like to stretch my mind further by writing all different types of people.

The Lynch family could always throw one hell of a party. Tonight, it was a masquerade to celebrate their daughters eighteenth. The manor had been buzzing for days during the preparations. House elves were busy with the feast. Various witches and wizards had spent the last week meeting with Vespera Lynch to organise every detail. Right down to the nameplate fonts and the colours the lights should be. Only the elite of the wizarding world were invited, and from them, only the ones with pure blood. Not only was it an opportunity to show off the ostentatious lifestyle but also a way to introduce the birthday girl to a list of potential suitors. While her parents were happy for her to marry for love, it could only be to a man that they and James agreed was suitable.
The eldest child was leaning casually against a balcony rail, a tumbler of whisky in one hand and a cigar in the other. His mask lay neglected on the banister beside him. How these things bored him. With everybody wearing masks, there was no way to be sure who was attractive. The last thing he needed was to waste his time on a girl who looked like a hag. A discontented sigh slipped from James Patrick Lynch III’s lips. He flicked his dark gazed around the great hall. Trays of champagne floated through the air and nudged people. Platters of fine foods were scattered around on stone pedestals. Multiple chandeliers hung from the ceiling and cast a warm light through the room.
The high class affair meant that most men had dusted off their dress robes and the ladies had bought new ball gowns. James found robes to be stuffy and instead was dressed in a slim tailored, charcoal grey suit. He wore the jacket undone, revealing the matching waistcoat and black tie. His shoes were so polished one could see their reflection in them. He had slicked back his hair as per usual. There was no doubt he was one of the more attractive men at this event and he planned on taking full advantage of that. Surely, there would be multiple girls to satisfy his boredom with tonight. Taking a draw from his cigar, he watched the entrance to see what intriguing flower might step through.
