What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting.     Early Years: There had been many ups and downs in Jadis's life. Growing up as a baby, she was a curious girl who would be easily amused by the simplest of things, whether it be her father's "disappearing coin" act or her mother's ability of transforming a long thread of fabric into a soft scarf with only two sticks. During her times at the park, she would be wandering around and watching the bugs and birds rather than play, and if approached by another child, she would cheerfully associate with them and ask if they would join her on this "expoation". When news spread of her mother having twins, four year old Jadis joined in on the excitement as she had been lonely in her life of exploration. Jadis would help take care of Hailey and Jake whenever her parents were busy with work or other business. Her half-blood mother would work as a nurse in St. Bartholomew Hospital while her pureblood father worked as a Potioneer. Coming from a pureblood family, the Paulson's saw his marriage as a disgrace and attempted to have him break the marriage to join the Death Eaters before he "suffers the consequences". He didn't bother listening to them and continued to live happily with his family until eight months after Jadis's seventh birthday when he was discovered dead in a nearby alley. Her family suffered greatly over the loss and constantly asked for justice, but no signs have been found of the culprit. During that time, Jadis found a passion for mystery and puzzle solving, hoping that it will one day become of good use to the case. From both fear and grieve, Laura decided it was best to move away. They moved to London and changed their last names to their mothers maiden name, Eirene, in case they were being followed. Laura also took out all of Henry's possessions and gifts, but Jadis kept her silver ring in secret, in fear of losing her only attachment to her father. Since then, Jadis became very defensive and reserved herself from others, having find it difficult to trust others. She also grew over-protective of her family, believing that, as the oldest, it's her responsibility to keep them safe from any dangers.Hogwarts Years: In her first years of Hogwarts, she was shy and indecisive of her new surroundings, being wary of the students and teachers around her. At third year, she decided to break her shell and joined clubs and other classes to help her regain her cheerfulness. By fifth year, she was able to make friends and smiled more often, glad to feel as if she belonged. In the summer of fifth year, she joined boxing to relieve stress and to have knowledge of fighting for defense. She got average grades in most classes but excelled at D.A.D.A. and Ancient Runes. Her desire to become a strong fighter became her motivation as well as her desire to solve and decode runes. Adulthood: N/A

Hi, Jadis!

Welcome to PA! I've read your app, and its a good one. I like her. I don't know if you had a preference of houses but she strikes me as more of a Huffle than a Gryffie. I presume since you posted Huffle first that might be your first choice? Yes?

The only edit I'd like you to make, or to simply change when you post for the ring in the Magical Artifacts claim section that you consider that making a magic ring that grows colder when dark magic approaches will certainly limit your ability to use your character b/c it will eliminate the element of surprise.

I strongly suggest you look at limiting its power more and create not only its advantages but its disadvantages as well. No magical artifact should, ideally, be limitless and without consequence.

So-get back to me with the house preference, please and perhaps make a small edit to reflect that the green ring is her father's ring. Then we get can to the specifics of what to do with it later.

Hey! Thanks for the feedback! I've edited the OTHER POSSESSION about the ring, wouldn't want my charrie to lose all the fun. XD And I prefer Hufflepuff. They are particularly good finders after all! Very Happy
