Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes was a burst of infectious colour that roused laughter out of even the most sour of sourpusses. If it didn’t, you could have your money back and a free joke for your troubles; and don’t worry, it would always, always be a joke on you. This was part of what made the joke shop insatiable to anyone with a few Galleons in their pockets. It was probably a good thing, really, that parents only gave their children so much pocket money.

The problems began when they started earning money of their own.

That particular trip to the joke shop in Diagon Alley had begun well. N.E.W.T year would have Millie Finnigan busy but she intended on getting through some serious itching powder and various other joke paraphernalia that was essential for the Hogwarts experience. She didn’t want to go without pranking at least a handful of people. It was her last year; she had to make it count.

She had picked up a basket which had been charmed to make everything she put in it disappear and wandered around aimlessly, enjoying the sweets which were dotted around and generally basking in the ridiculous scenery that the joke shop boasted.

“Step left, step right, pull your knees tight. Do the butterfly, to the side, to the side....now slide!”

Millie grinned to herself and sang along as the Muggle song came over the radio and giggled a little as she mirrored the dance that the singers did in the video. It was a summer tune - perfect for the day.

(OOC: Millie's outfit - it shows off her 'angel wings' on her back which flutter and move - they're magical tattoos. Also, this is the song that was on the radio)

Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes, a place full of laughter and people puking there brains out due to the puking pastilles. It was the perfect shop Kenneth need to win the day of pranks that him and his friend every year. The problem was Jaybee was always the one who had the best pranks out of all of them, but this year it was parents vrs Kids and there was no way Kenneth was going to lose to mother! So this year, the four of them got to put there poweres together and bring down the parents. But they weren't alone, they had many other friends helping to win this battle they were having.

"Come on Mrs. queen of pranks, we got to get some pranks quickly, the day of pranks is unpon us!"said Kenneth as he grabbed a basket and started putting some puking pastilles into it as it started floating around the room. Kenneth wasn't worried, they always came back once you checked out. "Grab anything you can think of Mars, we need the best pranks ever, we can't let our parents beat us!"said Kenneth. Shivering slightly at the thought of it, Kenneth kept on shopping.

"You see Mars if we beat them, then mum won't have a reason to band it!"said Kenneth as he walked backwards to talk to her. As he bumped into someone his basket flew out of his hands onto the floor. Kenneth's eyes widened at the accident. "Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry are you ok?"Kenneth asked them.

Maura followed Kenneth into the Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes, the world's best prank shop the Wizarding world ever known. "This is going to be the best day of pranks ever!"said Maura happily. She loved the day of pranks, last year it was tied between her and Kenneth so they decided to share the crown making her queen and him king of pranks. This happened a long time ago when they wanted to get there muggle teacher back, so they pulled a prank on her. Since that day, they made the day of pranks.

Grabbing a basket herself, Maura looked around the store for stuff they could use. Maura refused to let the parents win, if they did the day of pranks would be over forever. "Once we beat the parents, then the first I'll prank everyone else and the crown will be mine again!"said Maura smirking. "So who did you all call to help us?"Maura asked him softly. "Kenneth watch out!"said Maura a bit to late as he bumped into a girl singing and dancing.

"Were so sorry, are you ok?"Maura asked after seeing that she couldn't really hear them. Bending down she helped pick up some of Kenneth's and maybe some of the girls candy as well, she didn't remember Kenneth having this much candy even if some of it was flying around the room.

The wild nature of the joke shop wasn’t quite what Millie had come to be used to - it was a far cry from the beaches of Jamaica upon which she and Trent lounged away their days; drunk and delightfully pleased with themselves and each other. This was far more real and the colours were sharp and defined, not woozy and mottled against one another. Certainly, she was a long way from the place she had begun to call home but it was for all the right reasons, she told herself. She had to finish Hogwarts out, if it was the last thing she did.

Millie was broken from her reverie as she felt someone bump into her and she gave a small cry as the basket slipped from her hands, spilling the contents onto the floor. Thankfully, nothing was set off but it was a close call and Millie darted to the ground once she found her head again, shovelling her things as quickly as possible back into her basket.

She looked up at the sound of someone speaking and flashed a winning smile at the young guy that she vaguely recognised but couldn’t be sure she actually did recognise. He was followed by a girl who equally had a look of familiarity about her and Millie sat back on her haunches, smiling to herself.

“This is a funny place to take your girlfriend on a date,” she observed.
