Mm lollies (honeyduke shop)

Nothing like a good bagful of lollies and chocolate to end your day at work. Caiden slipped quickly in between the door, letting a cool breeze in before closing. He shook off all the snow on his trench coat and his slytherin scarf. Instantly he felt his cool face warming up as he stood quietly in his spot, browsing the shop. He knew exactly what he wanted first and quickly pocketed a box of jelly beam that made people do animal noise when they eat it. He and Talon had been dying to get it. Second on his imaginative list he pocketed two chocolate frog and quickly mummered the invisibility spell on the chocolate with his wand and started to move on. Normally he would pay just to avoid any trouble or any human contact but he was feeling daring today. Hopefully no one spots him.

Shadow was walking around the store with a lolliepop in her mouth and a bag full of chocolate and other sweets. Her sapphire eyes looking around the store for some sugar quills she quickly found some and smiled. Sugar quills were one of Shadow's favorite candies, besides chocolate frogs that is. Looking around the store some more for some more interesting candies she seen blood pops and she instantly wrinkled her nose. "Maybe Mars would like those, but not me but I'll get them anyways for her!"said Shadow as she gotten a couple for her older hufflepuff friend. Getting up she seen a couple of third years bumped into her making her bump into what seemed to be a slytherin boy as her candy went everywhere.

Caiden continued to search around for more lollies, pocketing a few more and casting a spell over them. He spotted the sugar quill stand, that might cheer Damitrius up he thought, remembering that his friend hasn't been herself lately. She been quiet lately, not usually her cheery self, it was starting to worry him. Happy with the idea, he made his way to the sugar quill stand in front of him. 'Oof,' he grunted, doubling over as he crashed into a girl causing her to drop all her lollies. 'Oh, I'm so sorry!,' he exclaim quickly gathering all the girls stuff the best he could. Soon he finished grabbing her stuff he began to stand up again to give her stuff back. 'That was so-' he stopped mid sentence as he quickly picked up this girl was from Slytherin. 'Oh it's you,' he said, glaring coldly at her. Caiden hated Slytherin they always picked on him. Giving this girl no chance to respond, he gave back her stuff and stormed off.

Shadow gave him a confused look as he glared coldly at her. "Why are you doing that? I haven't done anything to you!"said Shadow softly. Picking up the rest of her candy that was on the ground Shadow shook her head. She honestly didn't know why people were so rude to her, she guessed it was because she looked cold hearted and mean which wasn't the case. Shadow had more Ravenclaw traits then Slytherin traits, the hat wanted her to be in Ravenclaw but she begged it to put her into Slytherin. It was one of her greatest secrets and she never told anyone that. Walking pass him Shadow gave him a hurt look before she walked towards the towards the chocolate frogs that wasn't to far from where he was at.

Hopefully he would see that she wasn't like most Slytherins, she was nice and polite and didn't care about blood status. Hell, she even rebelled against her parents ways and started doing muggle things. Even though she was a pureblood Shadow had all kinds of friends, muggleborn, muggles and halfbloods and from different houses. But of course Caiden didn't know of it, for her sister made sure she obeyed everything she said to do. Penny was always making sure she did thing the way she was suppose to, but Shadow disagreed with everything she said.

Caiden was just about to storm out the door but, something stopped him. The look on the girl face, the look of hurt made him realised she wasn't just another Slytherin here to complicate his life. He looked back at her, pursing his lips and took a moment to think. Caiden hated Slytherin, they always picked on him and have always been since third year - although it always felt forever. He detested them, but the girl shouldn't have to suffer for their actions. Caiden took a deep breath and followed behind her. 'Hey, I'm sorry for my action earlier,' he said. 'I didn't mean to be nasty, it just I don't have good experience with Slythe-,' he stopped mid-sentence. She didn't need to know his life crisis. He didnt kniw her very well yet, she could still be the same.'I just wanted to say sorry,' he said, changing subject.

Shadow looked at him and shook her head. "Not it's ok, I know how you feel alittle."said Shadow softly. Shadow knew how it was like to get the cold shoulder from her fellow classmates, they called her a blood traitor for being friends with Maura and Sarah who wasn't even in her house let alone her blood status. But Shadow didn't see why she couldn't have friends from all houses, and was it really bad to have Muggleborn friends even if she was a pureblood? All these things seemed so stupid to Shadow, who cared about blood and houses? she was tired of this rivalry crap when she wasn't suppose to be a Slytherin to start with!

Yes, Shadow was suppose to be in Ravenclaw but she begged the hat to be in Slyterin so she'll follow the Macnair pureblood line of Slytherins. Although looking back, she wished she haven't, she wished the hat put her in Ravenclaw. Shadow simply hated her parents ways in thing and simply rebelled against them, they were just stupid after all to her. Shadow was in a arranged marriage with someone from Slytherin, but she really didn't know who it was to be honest. She honestly didn't want to know who it was either, she liked being single and free.

Did he hear her properly, surely his ear was deceiving him or he must of misheard her. 'You do?,' Caiden asked, almost chocking on his own words. 'As if you understand,' he told her, bluntly, he didn't mean to sound rude or anything. He wanted to believe her, he wanted to believe he was not alone; not alone in the dormitory getting tease at everyday. It was too good to be true and he was having trouble believing him. Sometime he wish he was in raven law with his best friend Talon but of course he was dumb enough to ask the hat to put him in Slytherin. It was his own fault anyway and now he force to suffer the consequences because his two best friend were in a different house and one was a muggle blood. He didn't care what blood they had or what skin they had. It was the personality that mattered to him.

Shadow looked at him and shook her head her sapphire that held hurt in them once again. "I didn't ask you to believe me, and I didn't ask you to be friends with me I just want you to understand I know how you feel."said Shadow softly. "I get made fun everyday by people in Slytherin, I get called a blood traitor and even hexed at times to the point that I have to go to the hospital wing and why all because I decided to become friends with Muggleborns and half bloods who aren't in my house?"Shadow asked him holding back tears. "I wasn't even suppose to be a Slytherin, the sorting hat wanted me to be in Ravenclaw due to my smartness but I begged it to be in Slytherin cause I didn't want to disappoint my family, but looking back I wish I was a Ravenclaw."said Shadow softly looking away from him. "But of course I don't understand what you go through, I mean how can I? I'm not you!"said Shadow softly. "I'll leave you alone."said Shadow as she walked away towards the jelly beans that made animals noises.

Caiden was taken a back when the girl had a go at him. He deserved it though, for being nasty but he couldn't help it. He was used to Slytherin being nasty to him but she was different. There was something in the tone of her voice that convinced him. He sighed and gave a face palm. Get a hold of yourself, Caiden. Your better than this he thought to himself. He turn his head around and watched the girl walk around to the jellybean stand before going over to apologise. 'Sorry, I didn't mean to be rude,' he told her as he finally reached her. 'I'm Caiden,'.

Shadow shook her head that he didn't need to apologize she knew how he felt about trusting other Slytherins. "It's ok, I know it's hard to trust people from your own house after what they do to you, I know it's hard for me!"said Shadow honestly. "You weren't rude, you were just truthful, nothing wrong with that!"said Shadow. "Nice to meet you Caiden, I'm Shadow."said Shadow giving him a soft warm smile. Looking at the jellybeans that were before she chuckled. "Have you ever tried any of these? I heard there suppose to make you do animals noises!"said Shadow.
