Drug Problems and Sibling Squabbles Empty Drug Problems and Sibling Squabbles

Vivianna was hanging out with Bertie in an empty classroom. Since the time that they'd spent weeks without talking, the two of them tended to spend time together at least every five to six days. Classes had just ended for the two students, and inside of the room, they could still hear the hustle and bustle of students traipsing down the corridor.

When the female had arrived in the room, she'd been pleasantly surprised to find that Bertie was already there, waiting for her. Pushing herself up to sit atop of a desk near the Ravenclaw, the Slytherin dropped her bag to the floor and stretched. Arms reaching towards the ceiling, and then straining backwards, the teenager made a series of interesting faces that she probably wouldn't make within the company of anyone in the school but this boy.

Greeting the wizard she thought of as a brother with a smile and a wiggle of fingers, the teenager let out a sigh. Oh how she hated Transfiguration. Legs swinging back and forth automatically over the edge of the desk, the witch stopped her movement when accidentally kicking her bag. Treating the object so roughly probably wasn't a good idea. She had potions in there, and even if the vials were charmed, it would be far from fun if one cracked open. The girl kept a decent stash of candy in the sack as well, and it would all go to waste if covered in potions. Beyond that, she had no clue how the drugs in there would react to coming in contact with another substance. Vivianna knew enough about potions to know that the effects would likely be nothing short of disastrous.

Sensation in her bladder edging towards uncomfortable, the Slytherin slid off her desk. "I need to use the loo, kay? I'll be right back," Vivianna informed Bertie, before slipping out the door. The witch didn't even think twice about leaving her bag behind her, knowing it was safe with Bertie. In her haste, however, the teenager failed to close the door completely, leaving it cracked open behind her.

Drug Problems and Sibling Squabbles Empty Re: Drug Problems and Sibling Squabbles

After his last lesson of muggle studies Bertie had agreed to meet up with Vivianna. Sometimes it was difficult to keep in contact on a regular basis with them both having lessons, exams coming up and Vivianna also had a job outside of Hogwarts to juggle amongst her schedule. However the two had decided to make time with one an other at some point each week - usually on the weekend but on Thursdays they both had a more laid back timetable, at least Bertie did anyway.

The day had commenced with a care of magical creatures class where they had been studying bowtruckles. It had been a pleasant sunshine, making the lesson that more enjoyable as they drew sketches of the bowtruckle and fed them woodlice. After that had been herbology, Bertie's favourite class. Again the dazzling light filtering through the glass roof had put the boy in an even chirpy mood. The sun did that to Bertie. Maybe it was the supply of vitamin D?

Although the entire day wasn't spectacular. After lunch Bertie had spent the past two hours sat in double muggle studies. It wasn't that he disliked the subject, in fact it had been interesting and somewhat comical when he sat in the lesson and observed how wizards learnt about muggles. Despite that going over Muggle inventions, electricity and items in a muggle kitchen were less interesting. Bertie already knew about toasters. You put the slices of bread into the toaster, push the button down and wait for them to pop up. Logic really. Although perhaps it was more complicated if you hadn't grew up in the muggle world.

After the grouling time drawing sketches and labelling parts of a washing machine and dishwasher Bertie had concluded he wanted to drop the subject at the en of the year, something he was going to consult with Vivianna about. He didn't need the subject after all and it would give him extra time to explore his imagination... Or read up more on his classes. However before he could get round to the topic Vivianna had left to use the toilet, her bag on the floor.

Standing from the chair Bertie walked over to a bookshelf on the wall besides the teachers desk. He hadn't used this classroom before, examining the spine of the covers he couldn't even make out what subject was taught here, all the books were wrote in runes... Ah. Ancient runes was taught here. Bertie tugged at a thick leather bound book in an attempt to discover what the subject was all about. Perhaps he would be able to swap muggle studies for ancient runes?

Bertie continued to tug, the tips of his fingers turning redder and redder. No use. The book was too tightly jammed in. This wasn't good. Goodness knows how long it would take Vivianna to get to the toilet, do her business and then return. Bertie needed to occupy himself! Pressing his foot firmly against the bottom shelf the Ravenclaw yanked the book from the shelf, falling back in a shower of other books that toppled from the bookshelf, flooding the floor around him.

'Ouch.' He muttered, rubbing his head before standing up to examine the mess. Anyone would think Peeves had been at work. The books had torn edges, folded corners and crumpled covers. A nearby chair had fell over in the process and somehow Bertie must have knocked Vivianna's bag as her belongings were everywhere.

Oh goodness me. Not knowing how to arrange the books he collected them in his arms and stacked them neatly on the teachers desk, putting aside the thick leather bound copy that he had his eye on. After that he turned to Vivianna's bag. It seemed she planned to indulge into the confectionary during their meeting. Chocolate frogs, liquorice wands (Bertie's Favourites), crystallised pineapple, peppermint chews and some rather colourful sherbet. The liquorice wands were tempting, Vivianna wouldn't mind if he had a nibble whilst she waited surely? He felt rude but chances are she had brought them for him anyway, Bertie couldn't recall her enjoying them as much as him - but that could be because he was too busy enjoying them himself.

Tearing open the wrapper he extract the dark treat and bmchewed the end off. Yum. As he continued to knaw the food in his left hand, with his right he began to restock the other goods back into Vivianna's school bag. Apart from the sherbet. He wanted to try that. Bertie hadn't seen it before and he only guessed it would taste delicious coated on a liquorice wand.

Unsealing the clear bag that the powder was in he licked the end of the liquorice wand and dunked it into the bad, ensuring he was going to get a huge mouthful of the newly discovered sweet. The 'sherbet' tickled his Tongue and wizzed down his throught. It felt good. Odd but good. Then again all magical confectionary was rather odd. Continuing to dip the wands into the clear packet he felt himself feeling more bizarre.

The room seemed to be getting brighter, his eyes wider and exertions he glanced at the bookshelf he had the urge to send the rest of the books flying. What was going on?

Rising from the floor Bertie waltzed over, physically danced, to the teachers desk where he had piled the fallen books up. WHAM! With a clenched fist they toppled to the ground; pages bending even more. Unable to contain himself Bertie fell into a fit of laughter before venturing the shelf and sending the whole thing crashing to the floor. This wasn't like Bertie at all! Bertie loved books. You could say the Ravenclaw had an OCD tendency to them. He was deeply annoyed when the spines contain a crease yet here he was now throwing them in the air as he lay on his bag howling like a hyaena on heroin!

Mavis, who had been wandering around the castle trying to find someone to make friends with before the evening meal happened to be walking along the fifth floor corridor. She had intended to try the music room, there was usually someone in there, although most of the time they were either snobby muggle borns who adored the harp or cold, independent boys who liked to strum the guitar and not respond to her. Either way she always had hope.

WHAM! The sound erupted from a classroom at the other end of the corridor. What on earth it was Mavis had no idea, she wasn't mental adept at thinking about possibilities so she simple waddled along the corridor, excited about meeting someone who made lots of sound. Mavis like sound. It was friendly - even if it did come from Peeves.

As Mavis reached the door the sound of laughter filtered through the earwax polluting her ear canal. Opening the door, a huge smile on her face already, was welcomed to the sight of a young boy with longish brown hair lay on his back tossing books in the air.

'Can I play too?' Mavis asked, bouncing up and down on his chubby toes in excitement before running over to Bertie, crash landing on the ground then grasping books and tearing the pages out. 'Haha! This is fun!' She said, although it appeared Bertie hadn't even noticed her presence because he was still lay on his back, chuckling as he waved a book in the air, the pages fluttering as it opened and closed.

After five minutes of amusing himself whilst flapping a book in the air he rolled onto his side, gasping for air amongst the giggles. He had double vision and distorted hearing but it didn't take someone with hightened senses to make out the girl beside him: Mavis Oakes. Large and loony. Bertie wasn't one to judge although being in her presence wouldn't be the best for him, it wa only a yet ago when there were rumours like wild fire being spread ray the two shared a romance. It hadn't been a big rumour as nobody really knew who he was but it sure was an embarrassing week. A horrible week in fact buy that had all bubbled over and the boy was too high to care.

'Cool P-p-pa-PARROT!' Bertie stuttered before erupting into another laughing frenzy, his whole body shaking violently. If someone else had been in the room they would have thought he were crazy: there was no parrot in the room and Mavis was no bird - although her laugh did sound like the squawk of a strangled vulture. However, in the unnatural blue eyes of Bertie, a red parrot with a yellow beak and blue fluffy tufts atop it's head was perched on Mavis' tangled hair. Chirping melodically to the spinning of the room.

Reaching a hand up to Mavis' head he began to stroke it's beautiful feathers. They were soft to touch and the way the bird nibble his fingers was rather sweet, if this were real it would make a beautiful memory. Although, despite it seeming real to Bertie, chances are the Ravenclaw would forget this moment.

Mavis continued to tear the pages from the book, occasionally looking up with a huge grin on her face. She was constant clueless that this wasn't normal behaviour and that the boy needed help not to be encouraged. 'We should do this more often!' Mavis told Bertie as she threw the fifty or sixty so sheets that had been ripped from the book up in the air, sending them falling aroun the pair like autumn leaves.

Bertie turned to face Mavis, he seemed to be very amused, which pleased Mavis. She'd made a friend! Someone who enjoyed her company besides the house elves in the kitchens. 'Parrot?' The Gryffindor asked, confusedly. For the first time in her life it appeared the confused state was completely legitimate. It was normal to be confused by Bertie's statement, unlike when Oddball Oakes got confused at the Simpliest of potions. She could never remember the ingredient names an often made them up by saying what they looked like. Mavis was okay with things such as daisy roots but bat spleens and armadillo bile meant nothing to her.

Craning her neck all the back she looked directly above her, watching Bertie's hand move up and down, stroking the air. He seemed rather amused by this, almost happy. Anxious to feel the happiness he felt Mavis extended her chubby arm and began to stroke the air above Bertie's head. 'Umm.. I don't get it.' She said, pulling a rather dumb face whilst she continued to copy Bertie completely unsure on what should be happening.

Bertie and Mavis simply sat there for five minutes stroking mid air. That was until the parrot stretche it's wings and took flight from it's nest atop of Mavis' head. The way the light filtered through the finer feathers was mesmerising. Bertie moved his head, following the birds movements around the room before it landed in a blur atop of Vivianna's bag where the bag of sugar was still there.

Grinning to the parrot and completely ignoring Mavis who was still stroking the air above his head he lifted the bag up, tilted his head back and shoveled the entire bag of sugar down his throat. It was an excellent, exciting, extraordinary sensation. Without the liquorice wands to mix in his mouth with the sugar it had a greater effect. It wasn't long before it was in his blood stream, pumping around his brain, the organ that made Bertie Bertie.

The parrot was gone. The Walls were gone. Bertie was sat in a White space? There was no ceiling or floor so it could hardly be called a room and all he could see was one foot in his line of vision and whatever it was he was looking at was simply blurred shapes. If he was of sound mind the Ravenclaw would be panicing, yet he wasn't. He didn't feel anything. Nothing. Except a throb in the back of his head. His eyes began to roll to the back of his head whilst his limbs squirmed like octopus tentacles. 'I- gahfus. Ohm mara.' If Mavis had even been listening with all her brain power she wouldn be able to make out the words among the slurred speech.

WHAM!

Bertie's top heavy head fell back. Saliva began to escape his lips, bubbling as it oozed pasted those White front teeth. His finger nails tapped against the floor and his skin had paled. Even for someone for olive skin tone who had a slight tan it was scary how pale he'd gone. The underneath of his eye were purple and a hard vein in his forehead throbbed, yearning to escape from the infected brain. Bertie was high and having a full blown seizure and Mavis Oakes wa doing nothing but picking her nose watching in curiosity.
