Another one opens

Nick had been in this dusty old room for nearly three days, only leaving to eat and drink. He was really depressed about Cecilia still. It was clearly visible by the red circles that developed around his eyes from crying. Also, he had not shaved. There was a tiny bit of beard stubble growing in. He laid curled up in a pile of old, dusty rugs he used for a bed. Dave was also in the pile eating much of the dust, of which was a natural part of a pygmy puff's diet. Nick on the other hand looked skinnier, he had only eaten here or there in the past few days.

Cecilia had been doing a good job of avoiding Nick since their last meeting outside the great hall. But just as soon as she let her guard down her luck failed her once again, because when she walked into the trophy room, a room she thought to be isolated, she saw him. He laid in pile of rags and he looked pitiful. She thought about leaving but she couldn't. "Dave," She whispered calling out to the pigmy puff not wanting wake his owner. "Come here buddy," she said kneeling on the ground which was really difficult for her thanks to Mollie.

Dave scurried across the ground and into Cecilia's hands. The pygmy puff looked excited to see Cecilia. Nick had soon woken up because Dave knocked over a trophy. "Oh Cecilia, how is Mollie and Raphael" he said looking at her. Nick was acting like he was calm and that he was over Cecilia. It was not hard to tell that Nick was holding back tears from just seeing her, and any person could tell that he'd been crying recently from the red circles around his eyes.

Cecilia took in a quick breath holding Dave close to her scratching his head. "H-hi nick," she said quietly not sure what to say or do. "Mollie is fine." She said quietly and tilted her head to the side. "How are you?" she asked looking down at nick. a hint of sadness was visible in her eyes as she looked down at Dave and wondering how his sister Cup-cake was. Nick looked skinnier and ill-feed. she sighed and looked up at the ceiling hoping she would be able to get up off the floor.

"I am... depressed, sad, angry and upset. But I don't blame you" he said truthfully. She appeared to be unable to get up off of the floor. He stood up and lifted her to her feet. Without thinking, and sadness taking over his body, he kissed her. "I'm sorry I just needed to do that one last time. So why are you here" he said. She was killing him from the inside, he would never be able to let this girl go.

"Thank you," Cecilia murmured after he helped her up but she was cut off bye his lips on her. "i'm sorry," she said quietly, stepping away from him. "I was trying not to find you." She whispered answering his questions, "It hurts both of use to see the one another." She knew her words were true because she could see it in his eyes, the way he held him self, and the way he spoke to her. "I could ask you the same question." She said quietly blinking back a few tears not wanting to cry.

It hurt Nick that she would avoid him. "Cec, I won't lie to you but I did love you and Mollie. I don't think I will ever love again actually. But can we at least be friends" Nick asked. He knew it might just hurt him more, but he wanted her in his life somehow. "I think since I can't have you or Mollie, I might adopt a child" he told her. Dave bit Cecilia, he missed his sister terribly. Almost as much as Nick missed Cecilia.

"Ow," Cecilia said almost dropping Dave as he bit her hand. "I would love to keep you in my life," Cecilia said quietly, "But wouldn't it just hurt more?" She asked and handed Dave to nick examining her finger. "I'm sure you would do a better job of taking care of a child than i believe i can." she looked down and looked away from Nick and his pygmy puff. They were angry at her and she understood, she was angry at herself. She sighed and wished everything had stayed the way they had been. She hated how her life changed to help everyone else.

"Fine then, break up with me and don't even be my friend. This is great, now I feel even more led on" he said. Nick laid back down in his carpet pile. He didn't know what to do now. "So can I ask why you left me for a person that wouldn't treat you as good as I would" he asked quietly. Dave was just on the ground now, he gave Cecilia an apologetic look. "You'll try to be a good mom, but Mollie deserves a better father, like one that would love her" he said.

"I don't want to hurt you, I never wanted to. I was trying to protect you." Cecilia whispered. she looked at him her eyes sincere and sad. "And you deserve so much better than me," Cecilia said quietly. everyone deserved better than Cecilia even Raphel, and especially Mollie. "everyone deserves better than me," She said voicing her thoughts, "All i would do is drag you down. You could do so much better than me." She looked back at the door worried Raphel would walk in. "We can be friends but i just think i will make it hurt more than it already does." she spoke quietly wishing she knew how to make everything better.
