Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

What Darius disliked about his final year were the exams. Professors gave shitloads of studying and he did not have enough time for his hobbies. Not that he had any, but this all took his free time away and he had to spend it in the study room.
But did he actually study? No.
Darius had a special in history. Not the one they studied in Hogwarts, but the type of history that muggles had written during the past decades. His favorite subject of it all was the first and the second world war. Although he did not respect those who wielded no magical power, he was still amazed how they had captured it all and how they had created such weapons without using anything unnatural for them. To be honest, even a pureblood like him was dazzled by their technology. One of his favorite things was the lazerpoint pen that was in his pocket right now. He never left the Slytherin dormitory without it. Not only was it a funny thing to use during the lessons, but it also helped making fun of others.

Turning another page, his eyes scanned the pictures and the lines of words feeding him with excitement. The book itself was old as well and Darius had to resist the urge to bend closer and sniff it from one corner to another. It was hard to avoid doing that. Old books had this sweet smell that, for lovers, was close to the paradise itself.
But his happiness did not lost long, however. Darius heard the door open and some of the students entered the room. Usually he would ignore them, but it seemed that they simply did not know the basic rules of the study room.
After he got used to silence during this two hour reading break, everything that they said was basically a torture to the young man. He sighed, obviously irritated that he had to stop reading his book.

Last year had been hell, just pure hell. With the OWL's and everything, she'd barely had time to do anything she actually wanted to. Her grades had been good and all, but she hadn't been able to enjoy the year. There was too much pressure of getting those good grades so she could please her father and prove her brother wrong about Gryffindors being stupid. Not that she cared about what he thought anymore - that's what she told herself, she still very much cared.

This year didn't seem to be any different. She didn't have any OWL's to take, but the year was just as busy for her. Not really because of classes and studying - though that was part of it - but because of her change of allegiances. She went from Potter's Army to the Dark Followers, because she didn't want to he anymore different from her family than she already was. It was a hard change for her really, from good guy to bad guy in the eyes of everyone she knew.

Her family accepted her more now that she was a Dark Follower, but now she was an outcastin her House. Not that she cared, she hated being a Gryffindor now. She wished she could've been sorted into Slytherin or Ravenclaw like everyone else. Being a Ravenclaw wouldn't have been as bad, except for her having to be with Alexis. It struck her that Alexis was an outcast in her own way too, but she'd been too blinded to see it before. Just like she was one of the only Gryffindors in the family, Alexis was the only Werewolf.

Maybe she should try to talk to her sister again.. That wouldn't be anytime soon though.

The study room was one of the only places where she could concentrate on her work now a days. Even there, other students had to make noise or bug her and the others who tried to do their work. A few students walked in at the same time as her, and she was immediately annoyed that they couldn't shut up. She saw the oldest Dolohov in there and he also seemed annoyed at them. She turned and hissed.

"If you aren't here to study or read, leave. Others are actually trying to get work done."

They stared at the Half-Vampire girl with wide eyes as she bared her fangs, slightly at them. She wasn't the pushover Gryffindor from before and they knew better than to mess with her now. They immediately quieted down and lowered their heads.

This mumbling did not stop. Darius rolled his eyes; he was sure that if the sound would not stop during two minutes, he would slap someone. Doesn't matter who, but he would just hit that talking person as hard as possible. This was a F*** study room, the only place that resembled library in a way, and students should oblige the rules and with that – keep their mouths shut. He closed his eyes and drew a deep breath.
Darius had this habit of washing his hands many times a day even if they were seemingly clean and the same thing was with the cleaning. But when he was not able to do one of his rituals, he became rather upset and really moody. And right now he felt just the same.

He clenched his fists. Darius wasn't usually the one who'd become violent. Mostly there was someone who'd settle down the score, but he did not mind doing that his way. He began to stand up, but stopped when he heard another voice. What surprised him was how sharp it sounded. He smiled. Someone certainly knew that value of the study room.
When he turned his head to see who it was, smile was suddenly washed away from his face.

Damitrius d'Eath made a dramatic entrance. He did not know exactly what was the thing with their family. All he knew was the fact that their daddy was really active and that they had hell-loads of siblings, most of them going to Slytherin. He also knew that this girl once belonged to the Potter's Army, but joined the Dark Follower's troops not so long ago. Why did she do that, Darius was not so sure, but he dared to suspect that there was family and honor behind all that. It must've been hard for her to settle things with her brothers and sisters when they all were from Slytherin. He knew he'd have problems with that.

Young man sighed quietly. “Finally someone who has enough brains,“ he murmured loudly enough. It was not meant as a compliment. As a matter of fact, those words hurt his merit, as much as he hated to admit it, but he made no expressions to make it clear.
“I think it might be dumb to ask to why are you here?“ he addressed the girl, looking now directly at her.

There were a few murmurs around the room after Damitrius' snap at the other students who'd been bothering. None of them had moved for a while, surprised that she had actually said anything to them. Honestly, Damitrius herself was a bit surprised at her sudden outburst. She had never been one to be like that, sure Gryffindors were outspoken and liked to do these things, but she wasn't like that.

Now she was apparently. One of them finally moved, a girl her age but she was a Ravenclaw. She met gazes with Damitrius and stiffened, before she turned around and nearly ran out of the room. More murmurs and this time a few giggles. Damitrius looked st the other two, another Ravenclaw, male in her year, and the third was a fifth year. They both took off after the girl, who she later found out had ran off crying.

No sympathy came from her, nor did any remorse for her actions. Suddenly someone spoke to her and she turned her attention to the person. Darius Dolohov. She raised an eyebrow and smirked, "Why else would anyone come here?" she answered his question with another one.
