Party Empty Party

Post by Amelia Macmillan Tue Mar 05, 2013 12:43 pm

Amelia stuck up the several flights of stairs to the Room of Requirements. She opened the door and careful sat her bag down on a table that had just conjured there. She pulled out one of the two bottles of Firewhisky she had begged her older brother to get for her; he did it so she didn’t tell her parents that he drank in the first place. It was just two bottles, no biggie. She knew if she got caught her mother would just laugh, ‘it’s about time she did something rebellious’, but her father could be a bit angry but he never could stay angry at Amelia for long. She was a daddy’s girl.

She watched as the room began to transform. Bean bags, banners, a music system, a punch bowl and other shinny decorative things appeared. Then the strobe lights appeared which messed with Amelia’s eyes. She had a feel that she was going to have a very bad headache in the morning. At least here she could find a pepper-up potion somewhere. Soon the table filled with glasses. Amelia put the other bottle on the table.

She opened up the bottle and poured the first glass. She knew this was illegal but she took a sip of the alcohol. It burned her throat at first. She coughed in surprise. Then the second sip it wasn’t as bad. She could understand why this stuff was meant for seventeen and up. She was already getting a bit tipsy but she was still there for the most part. She had to be a bit tipsy to not back out of doing this.

Party Empty Re: Party

Post by Alice Longbottom Tue Mar 05, 2013 6:28 pm

It was the day of the party and Alice spent all of the afternoon getting excited about it. Even though she was specifically told not to come many times, she was already dressed and ready. It would take a lot more than a warning to get her to miss the only interesting thing happening in this school. Finally something to look forward to. And if they did indeed get caught, well it would be worth it in the end. So she figured she might as well risk it. Still there was a chance that they wouldn't get caught and Alice was hanging onto that hope.

She walked into the Room of Requirement and noticed that a lot of people were already there. Looking around, she determined with a smile that Amelia did good with the decorations and music. Everything looked in it's place. She made her way through the crowd that was dancing to the music and searched for a familiar face. Then she noticed Amelia near a table, pouring down a glass of Firewhiskey down her throat. She chuckled loudly and went to say hi.

"Amelia! I'm glad I found you here. You did a nice job decorating the place. And I see you're not wasting any time" she said with a giggle as she eyed the now half empty bottle of Firewhiskey on the table. Gazing at it, she got tempted to drink it as well. If she was going to be here, she might as well have fun like everyone else. "Let me try" she said pouring herself a small glass. She took a quick sip and let the liquid pour down her throat. The harsh taste of alcohol spread through her throat and mouth and it started to burn. She made a face before swallowing it completely. "Is it supposed to be this disgusting?" she asked with a laugh, but not even the foul taste stopped her from taking another large sip of her drink.

This was what people did at parties right? They drank, talked and danced. Since she wasn't a talented dancer at all, she had the other two options left. "You did put silencing charms around this place, right?" she asked a bit concerned. Alice was aware that she shouldn't really think about things like these at a party, but she couldn't help herself. Which annoyed her actually, the fact that she was such a good girl all the time. She took another sip of her drink and glanced around the room.

Amelia was out enough to let Alice have a glass. She couldn’t help not laughing at Alice. She had much to learn about parties. Amelia hadn’t had Firewhisky until now but she had had muggle alcohol. The only difference was the Firewhisky was much stronger and you got drunk a lot quicker. “Take small sips,” said Amelia starting to slur her words a bit.

“This place naturally has a silencing charm, how do you think it didn’t get discovered by many people,” said Amelia. Sometimes people just annoyed Amelia. Most people had no common sense. It wasn’t helping that being as tipsy as she was getting everything was annoying her.

“Have fun Alice. I’m heading off to find someone to dance with,” she said. She wanted to find Lance. Was he even here? She didn’t know but she’d find out.

Party Empty Re: Party

Post by Henri Finch Wed Mar 06, 2013 8:11 am

"LET ME IN, SO THE PARTY CAN START!"

Piercings and makeup galore, Henri waltzed into the meeting, a cigarette already dangling from her darkly painted lips, her fingers clinging to a small case of muggle beer, her long, neon-painted fingernails clicking together. She had dressed for the party, her pierced belly button on display for all to see. She looked about, pouting a lip. "Only girls? When are the studs arriving." She grinned roguishly. "Let's get this started so when they come in, it's all started."

She flicked her wand towards the stereo, blasting the music louder before tucking the wand behind her ear. She scampered towards the refreshments table, setting down the booze she had brought.

Party Empty Re: Party

Post by Keith Nicholas Sun Mar 10, 2013 6:53 am

Somehow, Keith had known that the party would be a dud without his help.

It seemed to be a recurring theme around Hogwarts - a problem would arise, and he would have to fix it. The problems were people being enormous losers, and his hammer and nails were more often than not free drugs and alcohol.

Two years ago, it would've concerned him that he had spent so much money aiming to "fix" a party that he wasn't even throwing and technically hadn't been invited to. But two years ago he hadn't been getting a steady inflow of cash from an illegal drug market, and besides, with the Wally induced Australian Spice boom he was practically swimming in the moneys.

So it was for that reason that Keith found himself entering the Room of Requirement with two backpacks full of illegal (and even some not so illegal!) substances.

"Hold the applause," he said as he entered, doing his best to make himself heard over the music. Luckily there were only a few people there, so he could hurry up and get this thing bumping before the cool crowd arrived with their popularity and judgement.

"What, can I ask, are you doing," he said, sweeping past Alice, who had just taken a shot of Firewhiskey straight from the bottle. "First of all," he said, turning to her and shrugging off his first backpack, "I hope you don't have dragon pox."

The second backpack fell to the floor with a tinkle of glass and aluminum. "Second," he said, unzipping the backpack and digging out a can of Peachtree Fizzing Tea, "shots are a bit hardcore to start the night, don't you think?" He grinned. "Look, I'm not telling you how to enjoy your alcohol, but...well, yeah, I'm telling you how to enjoy your alcohol." He popped open the Fizzing Tea with his thump and lifted both it and the firewhiskey high in the air. "Chase it!" He shouted, before knocking back a shot of firewhiskey.

Aaaaack oh man oh man that burns wow, oh man.

Keith was not exactly the paragon of alcoholic knowledge that he portrayed himself to be, but that was hardly the matter at hand tonight. He took a deep swig of Fizzing Tea, washing away the burn of Firewhiskey with the sweet taste of carbonated peach. "Or," he said, taking another few swings of the Tea, "have a mixed drink." He poured the Firewhiskey into the half drunk tea and swirled it around for a moment before handing it to Alice. "Bottoms up."

He left her standing in the middle of the room, grabbing the backpacks once again and then swooping off to find Amelia. "Good news, Macmillan!" He said, clapping her on the shoulder and shoving a backpack into her hand. "I managed to get a few more handles of Firewhiskey, so that's good. There's also butterbeer, if the taste of real liquor offends anyone's delicate little taste buds, and of course mixers...oh, yeah, and I have like...twenty ounces of Sugar and a half Liter of Spice, if anyone's feeling particularly adventurous. Don't knock it now, do you know how much that stuff costs? Henri knows what I'm talking about, don't you you crazy American sociopath you!"

Party Empty Re: Party

Post by Andrei Dolohov Sun Mar 10, 2013 3:41 pm

Andrei knew that he most probably wasn't welcome at this party, but them again that never stopped him before. Without a knock, he opened the door and entered the room. The usual decorations where here, and enough people showed up so far although he guessed it would get a lot more crowded in late hours of the night. Things like these definitely did not happen often enough at Hogwarts.

If there was something Andrei had learned from his parents that would be good manners, in the way they viewed it though. And good manners meant never come to a guest's house or a visit empty handed. With a large bottle of whiskey and another of his favorite muggle vodka in his hands, he had honored that code of conduct this time around as well. He put them both on the table that was slowly starting to fill with different liquor bottles. He added his two bottles to the mix and poured himself a drink.

Looking around the room, he examined the room and the people around him. A fourth year Ravenclaw passed by him in a very loud manner. He assumed she was the transfer student he had heard so many things about. Hogwarts certainly gossips about everything, so it was hard to be a transfer student and not be anyone's common topic in chic chat.

He saw a glimpse of a dark brunette as she stood near the table. He immediately recognized her and walked towards her. "Alice, hey! Surprising seeing you here", he said with a grin as he had never before seen her at events like these. But perhaps that was a perfect proof of his plan working. The old and shy Alice wouldn't be caught dead here. And now it seemed she was here indeed, with drink in her hand and all. "I would be careful with that. Beginners don't always have that much fun their first time", he said with a chuckle.

Hearing a familiar voice, his gaze turned to Keith. Ah just the person/mastermind he needed to see now, desperately. "Come with me, I want to show you something. I'll get you another drink later", Andrei said taking the drink from her hand and putting it on the table. Taking her hand, he pulled her through the crowd to the other side of the room and he followed Keith's general direction. "Oy! Keith! Wait a second!", he shouted after him.

Amelia was glad to see there was more alcohol; she hadn’t thought to bring butterbeer. She was the host but none of her friends were here and she was getting bored. Her eyes locked on Andrei. She still had a few bones to pick with him; she still wanted to hex him as soon as she could get him alone. She knew she would always hate Andrei and she will keep trying to get him away from Alice as long as she had to. She could see past everything Alice wasn’t seeing past.

“You’ll get your chance. Just wait, here isn’t the place,” she whispered to herself. She could still mess with him a bit. “Andrei have fun over destroying dates over break!” called out Amelia.

Party Empty Re: Party

Post by Henri Finch Sun Mar 10, 2013 11:41 pm

Henri was already dancing - she didn't need to have a partner to dance, she just had to have the music and an incredibly large ego, and neither were short that night. She wiggled, dropping low and running her hands over the insides of her thighs - if someone didn't start getting down, the night wasn't going to get nasty, and that would be a fantastic waste of a party.

She heard her name and turned, continuing to wiggle and dance, smiling widely at Keith. She put her fists up in the air and shouted, "You know it, babe! Hook me up!" She didn't leave her position on the dance floor, though; she was booty shaking now, and you didn't interrupt that.

Keith tried his best not to stare too much at Henri. He wasn't exactly successful, but he did try, and in the end, isn't that what really mattered? He was pretty sure that trying was what really mattered.

Still, he didn't "hook her up" so to speak. She would have to walk over to him like a civilized person if she wanted some of his [s]baby[/s] product. Instead, he turned to Andrei, who was was motioning like he wanted something.

Keith didn't exactly like Andrei, but Keith didn't need to like his clients to do business with them. Andrei paid good money, and that was all that really mattered. "Andrei!" Keith called, grinning. "What can I do for you?"

Party Empty Re: Party

Post by Lance Corner Mon Mar 11, 2013 3:46 pm

Lance was in the back ground of the party, he wasn't really one for this. He was into the quiet sort of fun but this was a change of his taste. He was invited and decided to check it out but really he didn't know most of the people here. And it was too crowded to even look around, he stuck the back end of the wall, looking over the crowd.

He wondered if Amelia was here, but every time he tried to walk through a group of people got in his way. So he decided on staying where he was and hopefully it would work out for him. He was wearing a dark blue t-shirt and jeans, so he was just average for now and didn't really stand out.
