English Ministry Trying to Pass New Hippogriff Law. The Ministry is in the process of attempting to pass a new law, banning the use of Hippogriff feathers in wands. The reasoning behind this, is that some people are murdering the beasts, and selling the many feathers collected to wand stores. Sadly, this practice is becoming more and more common. The creatures loose feathers, just as humans loose hair, but it is now advised for all witches&wizards purchasing Hippogriff parts to look into your supplier. Current Head of the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures, Rivah Trenton, is against this new law, and hopes it won't pass for the sake of the wand market. The Ministry official is of the impression, however, that the penalties for hippogriff slaughter should be raised. (I'm you'd like a quote from Rivah, send her account a PM).
