Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. There's just something I wanted - no - I needed to say...

The Clock Tower had once been a safe place for him. A place where he always felt happy, safe, calm. A place where he would always look out at the forest with his brother.

Now it was far from what it had previously been. He couldn't feel safe. He couldn't feel happy. He definitely couldn't feel calm either. It just wasn't fair. Edgar was gone. So was Claire. And not just for a little while, no, they were gone forever. Drew couldn't wrap his mind around the idea that he would never see his older brother and sister again. It wasn't fair.

He didn't want to believe it. He didn't want to believe that they would never come back. Drew kept telling himself that they were just working somewhere far away, or that they had been sent out on some internship that wouldn't allow them to come back to Hogwarts for a bit. But no matter how much he told himself his, he knew that that wasn't true. He knew that they would never come back, even if he didn't want to admit it. He knew that was the case.

Drew stared out at the forest as he did many times before with Edgar. He pictured his brother pointing out the movement in the forest, saying it was probably a unicorn that was walking around the forest. Maybe a herd of them. He didn't exactly remember what Edgar said all the time, but he did remember that it always made him laugh. He missed his brother so much already...and it hadn't even been that long since he and Claire had died.

One horrible thought suddenly shot through his mind. Christmas. Without Claire or Edgar. No...he didn't want that. He winced at the thought and sighed. That wasn't right, it wasn't fair. The Death Eaters took his siblings away from him during the time where family was meant to come together and spend time with each other. He clenched his hands into fists and slammed them down on the concrete sill of the window where he stood.

It isn't fair

It was the Christmas Holidays, and Alessea was discovering every part of the castle she possibly could. After all, she couldn't get in that much trouble, seeing how the prefcts and heads were mainly all gone. Alessea just gotten back from outside, she loved the snow on the trees the they were just so beautiful. It wasn't like her house back in London, here was quiet and beautiful. Going into the Great Hall for a cup of Hot chocolate before looking around some more.

Skipping happily up the stairs Alessea started walking not really knowing where she was going, but it seemed like her feet did. As she kept walking up the stairs she ran into the Clock Tower and gasped. The view was amazing for here, you could see everything almost which made her smile. Turning she jumped alittle as she seen someone was already here. "Oh sorry, didn't know anyone was here." Alesea softly. As she seen who it was, she almost slapped herself not knowing it was him.

It was Drew Macmillan her best friend since she started Hogwarts, Alessea could remember as if it was yesterday when they met. Alessea was looking for her Charms class and ran into Drew knocking his and hers books to the floor. Apolozing time after time, Drew said it was ok and asked if she was a first year, saying yes Drew offered to help her find her class and they just clicked. "Drew are you ok?" Alessea asked him softly knowing it was a stupid question to ask. Of course he wasn't, Alessea read the Daily Prophet it was horrible what happened.

Drew's already red hands got even redder from the impact with the concrete window sill, and he shook them slightly as the pain jolted through his freezing hands. He sighed, he couldn't let anger control him. But it was hard not to be mad at everything that had happened.

None of it was fair, he didn't want to know what it was like to live without some of your family. Of course now he was going to know, no matter how much didn't want too. A sudden opening of the door to the tower made him jump and he turned around quickly to find his best friend Alessea Reid standing at the door apologizing for having entered so abruptly.

He grinned at her, trying to hide his sadness like he usually did and said, "I'm fine Less." With the usual nickname he had given her shortly after he'd met the girl. "You're still apologizing a lot as usual." he smiled at her, moving his bangs out of his face. Alessea seemed to have a thing for apologizing for almost everything, Drew had observed. Especially when they'd first met that she couldn't stop apologizing after they'd bumped into each other.

Alessea looked at him and shook her head. "No you aren't Drew, I read the Prophet and I know your sad and angry and I don't blame you." said Alessea softly. Alessea smiled. "Just a habit of mine Drew, that I can't break."said Alessea. It was true, she did apologize for everything she did and she knew it was.annoying. Alessea guessed beig raised by muggles and going to a muggle private school it just caught onto her. "Beautiful site don't you think Drew?" Alessea asked him softly.

She knew by the look on his face that he wasn't happy, it didn't take a genius to figure that out. Alessea just wished he was honest with her, she might be a eleven year old first year but she was a good listener. Alessea was very bright for her age, she understood quite a bit of things. Looking at Drew her blue eyes looked at him with worry in them. "Drew don't shut me out, I don't like seeing you this way!" said Alessea softly. She knew it.was stupid, and shewas young but she was really starting to like Drew more then a friend.

Drew looked away from Alessea and out at the forest, his eyes becoming even more filled with sadness than they already were. He knew that he couldn't hide how he felt from Alessea, she was a smart girl, she knew what was up with him when others didn't. He sighed and looked at the Gryffindor girl sadly, his grin fading into a sad smile.

Even when he was sad, the smile stayed on his face. It was all he could do to remind himself that there was some kind of happiness in the world for him. "I'm sorry Less..." he started. "It's just hard for me to deal with this. My brother...my sister...they were both killed. It hurts to find that out. Even more so when it happens to quickly." he told her, tears welling up in his eyes.

He looked the girl in the eyes and noticed that they had worry in them and he just broke down. Drew fell to his knees and hugged himself, as he began to shake. "I don't know what to do...My family just fell apart in these past few months. Everyone thinks I don't understand what's going on, but I do. They think I'm too young to understand anything. My parents got divorced, and my oldest siblings are dead. How am I supposed to deal with that?!" he asked her, his voice shaking and the tears rolling down his eyes.

Alessea looked at him and gave him a sad smile. "I know Drew, I know."said Alessea softly but honestly. "You have a right to be angry Drew, just let it out Drew don't keep it bottled up inside you, it's going to rip you apart." said Alessea softly. Alessea looked at him with tears in her eyes, for she hated seeing him like this. "I'm sorry Drew, if I can go back to that day and changed it I would." said Alessea softly. "You don't deserve this sadness, no one does." Said Alessea, softly.

Seeing him cry Alessea kneeled down beside him and hugged him. " I don't know Drew." said Alessea softly. "I guess hold onto the memories you had of them and don't let go and always remember there always with you."said Alessea softly. That was what her mother told her when her cousin died in a car wreck last year. She knew what it was like to lose a love one, but not a sibling it must be hard on Drew. she couldn't imagine it, but she knew it wasn't easy, death in the family never was.

"I don't know what to do..." he whispered. It was obvious he was having a really hard time coping with everything that had happened. It was amazing that he hadn't completely lost it yet, because he knew that he had to be strong. He knew that Edgar and Claire wouldn't have wanted to see him the way he was now. But sometimes he just couldn't handle it anymore. He missed seeing them every day, them giving him advice. Being there for him whenever he needed them. He missed them so much. Amelia did too, he knew that, but she was stronger than he was with her emotions.

Alessea hugged him and Drew immediately calmed down. He didn't know what it was about her, but whenever she was near him it was easier for him to calm down. To be just a little bit more happy that he was. His head fell instinctively to her shoulder and he continued to cry, the shaking becoming less and less as she spoke to him. He gently lifted his head from her shoulder when she stopped talking and he stared at her, studying her face. She was a really pretty girl, she was always smiling and happy and he hated that she was sad now because of him. He knew that he probably looked like a mess now. His eyes wandered her face slowly, seemingly searching for that happiness she usually had.

Alessea kept hugging him, which was starting to make her feel alittle bit better then she was. She hated to see anyone sad, but it made her especially sad when she seen Drew sad and in tears. Alessea looked at him softly and blinked back tears as she kissed him softly on the cheek. She didn't know what else to do, her voice seemed to be caught in her throat to where she couldn't speak. She was trying to comfort him, but she couldn't speak for she didn't know what to say. Seeing Drew like this made her have a ain in her chest where her heart was, it was aching in pain for him.

Drew was a cute boy, he was always the one who.calmed her down.and.was there to catch her when she fell. Drew was usually a happy person, but now there wasn't no light or happiness in him. It was like a dementer sucked the life out of him and left him as a empty shell. "This isn't fair Drew, why you?"Alessea asked him softly as she snuggled up.against him. All they had was each other right now and the quiet small clock tower with the wind blowing. Letting out a shiver, she snuggled closer to him and realized how close they were. Blushing at how close they were, Alessea leaned in and kissed him softly on the lips.

He knew that Alessea of all people didn't want to see him like this. He didn't want to be the one to make her sad either, but it was something he couldn't help. His emotions had gotten the better on him and he just couldn't stop crying. The tears continued to stream down his cheeks, and he suddenly felt warm pressure on his cheek. He opened his eyes, widened in surprise and he stared at Alessea. The warmth was quickly taken away by the wind that blew in the Clock Tower and was replaced by a colder emptiness than it was before.

He begun to realize how cold it actually was in the tower when he felt Alessea shiver. She snuggled close to him and he felt his face begin to burn with a bright blush. His arms instinctively wrapped themselves around her and he looked down at her, His tears had stopped a bit, though he was sniffling and his face was still wet with the previous tears, which the wind was quickly drying on his face.

Alessea suddenly started to lean in towards him and before he could even react their lips met and not really knowing what to do, Drew kissed her back.

Kissing him back for a few minutes, Alessea pulled away breathing hard before shooting him a soft warm smile. "I thought that might cheer you up some, plus I wanted to do that for awhile." said Alessea softly but honestly. Alessea always liked him, but being only eleven years old, alot of people told her she didn't know what feelings and love was. That might of been true, but Alessea was a smart girl she'll figure it out. Plus if Drew didn't like her, why did he kiss her back? Maybe he didn't know what else to do but kiss her back so he did.

Looking out towards the sky she seen it was getting dark, she wondered how long they been up here. It weird, but when she was with Drew time just stood still and her problems just faded away. But now it was Drew who needed her, she wasn't going to leave when he was always there when she needed him. It wasn't the type of person Alessea was, plus it was Drew her best friend.and crush. Laying her head on top of his she hugged him tightly letting him know she was there for him.
