A Baby and A Mistake

A hangover Nathaniel stumbled into the Great Hall for breakfast. He took a seat at the Slytherin table and looked around before he pulled a flask out of his robe pocket and pored some of it in his glass before taking a sip. His hair was a mess as were his cloths. He wore short under his school robes along with a dirty tear stained t-shirt and a pair of slippers. He spent most of his time drunk and tended to skip classes. Nothing about him had been the same since Mariposa was murdured, and then on top of it all his little sister Danielle passed away because of that stupid green itch. He coughed and took a drink smiling slightly. Even though they fought all the time he really did love his sisters.

Amaris didn't know how she was supposed to hide the fact that she was pregnant anymore. She had told Raphel a few days ago about the baby and he'd taken a bit bad, but he had also been happy about it. Now she knew that since she wouldn't be able to hide her growing stomach because of the child inside it, and everyone would probably soon know that she was pregnant.

However, she had decided what she was going to do to keep rumors from going around, about who the father was of course. She was going to use the day that Nathaniel had attacked her in the Leaky Cauldron as the excuse to say that the kid was his. She hoped that he had been drunk enough that night to actually believe that it was his, otherwise she was screwed.

She walked into the Great Hall and spotted Nathaniel. Her hands instinctively went up to her showing stomach and she sighed. Amaris walked over to the Slytherin table and she made sure to sit a bit away from Nathaniel.

The door to the grate hall opened catching Nathaniel's attention, and there stood the one girl he had to like though he didn't, Amaris D'Eath. She was the one his parents had arranged a marriage with. Together their parents had planed out their lives and ruined them forever. After she sat down he looked over at her for a few minutes before speaking. "Amaris, if our parents plans are going to happen you might as well move your skinny little butt over here and act like i exist." He said his face cold and serious. neither of them wanted this and that was clear. They never would.

Amaris had turned away from Nathaniel and began to talk to one of the other boys at the table in their year and she sighed when she heard him speak. The boy stared at her and she frowned, "He's an idiot." she told him loud enough for Nathaniel to hear. She had planned to ignore him the entire time she was in there but she doubted she would be able too.

He brought up their parent's plans to marry them and she frowned again. "I don't care about our parent's plans. I'm not going over there so leave me alone." she told him, looking down at her stomach cautiously. She lifted her head toward the other boy she was talking too and she sighed, giving him a half smile, knowing that he was going to be leaving soon and there was no one else in there who she really liked so she'd have to pay attention to Nathaniel afterwards.

“Just as she is a bitter lady who can’t accept the future that has been accepted for her.” Nathaniel spoke to the boy and glared at him, “No scram,” He practically growled before turning back to Amaris. “You know there is nothing you can do to change our parent’s decisions,” He said a sneer covering his face as he spoke harshly towards her. “Now stop acting like a princess and move over here.” He took another sip from his glass and picked up a piece of sausage with his fork and taking a bite off of it. He had had enough stuff happen lately he didn’t need a B**** for a wife, and that was the last thing he wanted at the moment.

"I don't have to accept anything." she hissed at him. "As soon as I tell my parents what you did, they'll surely call everything off!" she spat at him. The other boy who had been with her, had gotten up and left, mostly because he didn't want any problems with the Mulcibers. She sighed and got up as well.

She had probably just made a mistake in saying that. "I don't take orders from you." she said and she started to walk out of the Great Hall. She didn't even get why she'd gone in there in the first place. It wasn't like she was even hungry, she hadn't been for the past few weeks. Until late at night when her pregnancy caused cravings.

She put her hands on her stomach again and looked down at it. "All you do is cause trouble. And you aren't even born yet.' she spoke softly.

Nathaniel got up and walked over to Amaris and grabbed her by the wrist. "You don't talk to me like that," He snarled and dragged her out of the grate hall and away from any students that might be watching. "You have cause me nothing but pain. First you tell me about the one girl i have ever loved being dead then we find out that we are suppose to get married. Neither of us want this crap to happen and your the one who has caused it all. now you say your sorry and tell me what in the world is going on and why you are getting fat."

Marguerite kept glancing down at the table to the two who seemed to be arguing very heatedly. The boy seemed to be getting very aggressive, and she watched closely, hoping things didn't get out of hand. When the young girl got up to leave, Marguerite noticed with a jolt, that the girl was pregnant. She watched as the boy stood and grabbed the girl by the wrist, dragging her out of the hall.

Marguerite stood and followed the pair silently. She crept into a back corner, watching the events unfold. She wasn't quite sure what spurned her to be so interested, but she did not want to see the girl get hurt, especially when with child. Perhaps she feared the boy would lose control.

"I'll talk to you in anyway that I want." she hissed at Nathaniel, trying to pry her wrist away from his grip. "Yeah because all of this is my fault. Because I take so much enjoyment in watching you mop around like an idiot because of things I had no control over." she told him. "It's not my fault that that stupid Gryffindor got herself killed and it certainly isn't my fault that our parents decided to marry us, got it?" she spat at him.

"I'm getting 'fat' as you say because of you!" she said before thinking about her words. "Do you remember that night in the Leaky Cauldron? Probably not, you were too damn drunk to actually be paying attention to anything." she said. "That night you used me... And I'm pretty damn sure you weren't expecting me to get pregnant from it." she said, not bothering to beat around the bush to tell him. "That's the reason. I'm pregnant, and it's your kid." she added.

"You're lieing," He hissed the smell of whiskey on his breath as he pulled her closer to him, "I'm not the only one you have slept with. I can't be." She sneered at her again before pushing her away from him. The baby had to be his. She looked to be just far enough along for it to be. Cursing under his breath he pulled the flask out of his robe pocket again take king a swig of the amber liquid he preferred to keep on hand. "They are going to kill me." He murmured to himself meaning his parents unlike they didn't already despise him. He cursed some more and looked back at Amaris. She was truest beautiful yet she wanted nothing to do with him. Like everyone else she hated him, "what are you going to do with it?" He asked.
