Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Neville really wasn’t starting to get sick of this jungle in Brazil. He wasn’t getting anywhere on finding this stupid plant and Hannah was bugging the heck out of him by complaining about the humidity. He loved his wife to death but this was ridiculous. She wasn’t the climbing through a jungle getting suck in quicksand, getting bite by strange bugs, attacked by flesh eating plants or trying to walk through brush that’s so thick a machete won’t cut through it. He was about to give up when he found the plant.

The glowing scarlet red and orange peddles and bright yellow center, up this was the Ember Flower. The name was quite literal. He had spent two years researching this plant in England and now finally after three months he found the plant. What was so special about the Ember Flower? It is believed to possibly be a new heat source for wizarding families. It would be a lot better from using muggle heating sources which could lead to a muggle accidently finding out about magic while coming to fix a heater and coal is expensive. Without either of them it gets very cold.

He dug up a few inches of the soggy soil around the plant and then careful transferred into a jar. He was lucky to find a rather large population of the flower and was able to collect another flower as well for testing. He also took a soil sample so he could test the soil later as well. He made sure to take notes on the other plant life around it, amount of sunlight, number of the population of the Ember Flower and the location on a map. The last task took the longest since he had to use magic to figure out where we was in the jungle.

He stopped at a little pub on his way back to the hotel. He was glad he had picked up on Spanish on his last visit about two years ago when he heard of the Ember Flower from an elderly local. He planned on giving the elderly man partially credit even if he was dead. He tried to order a soft drink but ended up with a very heavy strong alcoholic one instead. He didn’t feel like trying to explain to the waiter it was the wrong drink so he just drank it. If Hannah asked it was a very insistent local who wanted him to try a concoction the local had made.
