Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Distant Relative Empty Distant Relative

Post by Christopher LeBlanc Mon Oct 01, 2012 2:16 pm

Christopher trudged to the Three Broomsticks, it was where he was to meet his grandfather. He hated him, he was an Ex-Gryffindor and very very smart, he was scum, in Christopher's opinion. He loathed these meetings with his distant relative, and also had to visit him in the holidays, his family was hell.

He opened the door to the Tavern, and the smell of alcohol seeped into his nostrils, he drooled with pleasure, but would only drink Butterbeer in front of Edward, because he'd report the news to his mother, Rachel. "One butterbeer, please, and a fire whiskey, for my wait," he said his voice drawling with displeasure, the room was overly warm, and it nearly made him sick. He could sense mud-bloods in the area, and if it hadn't been for Ed buying him presents, he would've lost communication with his Grandpa years ago.

He sat down at a two-seated table, and waited, this was going to be a long day...

Distant Relative Empty Re: Distant Relative

Edward had been hunting. Recent developments with dear friends had pulled him out of retirement, and he was perhaps beginning a hunt for one of the most dangerous werewolves he'd ever heard of. He'd been gathering wolfsbane, and he had a leather pack stuffed with the leaves and the purple blossoms of the aconite plant. His hunt for the plant had been immensely successful.

He made his way to the Three Broomsticks.

"Edward!" Tom, the bartender, greeted him. "Will Michael join you today?"

"No, Tom, I dont' think so," Edwards said. "I'm meeting someone." He looked over the bunch in the pub. "Ah. There he is." He made his way to the table. "Christopher," Edward said, his 6'7" form towering over the table and the young man. "Thank you for meeting me. Stuffy in here today, isn't it?" He flicked his fingers at a window and opened the ol stained glass pane to allow some of the excessive heat out. "So how are you finding your adjustment to Hogwarts?" He took the other seat at the table.

"Your welcome, Edward, I'm sure it's your pleasure," he said his drawling voice continuing on, "It's ok," he said, "Much better than Durmstrang, in my opinion, the girls are way hotter," he thought about what he said, "Wait scratch that, there are no girls there, just men in drag." it was true, the men were very girly, even the burly men, they had effeminate qualities, even if they had beards.

"How's retirement suiting you?" he said as the men sat down, "pops" he added, on looking at the mans wrinkles. He stood up and walked around the man sniffing the herbs. "You're quite foolish you know? You got wolfsbane and aconite, which was stupid, considering, monkshood and wolfsbane, they are the same plant, which also goes by the name of aconite. They look different, but effect the same in potions, you really wasted your time, pops, maybe might wanna call me up when you go herb hunting."
