Exploration

Ellie hadn't been down to the dungeons before, gaining a bit of courage and before she changed her mind, she went down the stairs. Thanking herself inwardly for the colder days, she wore a purple/blue sweater and jeans. She didn't realize how dank and dreery, not that it was cold which it wasn't. But the atmoshpere down there had drained her warmth. She started to think that everywhere else in the school has a beeter atmoshpere than down there.

Reaching the bottom step, Ellie gingerly let her foot touch the floor. Her other foot followed suit, she was no longer on the stairs, but stood stairing for awhile. Blinking, she folded her arms across her chest and randomly shivered. Not wanting to stand anymore she headed foreward, she didn't want give up. Taking a deep breath in and letting it out slowly, she didn't stop.

Looking about at the walls, she expected to see lots of pictures. There were and they stared at her as she walk past them, some even said things. Ellie didn't quite catch what they said as she was speed walking. Her imagination was running again, telling her all sorts of things. She thought that she would have learned not to trust her judgement and imagination, obviously she didn't. Looking about studying details, she wasn't paying much attention to where she was going. Bumping into walls, she dismissed them and went on ahead to explore not watching where she was going.

Alex was patrolling the Dungeons for the evening, because he knew his way around it. And it was rather quiet down here, but it was always that way. They could work in silence or hide the bad things they do. Well not him, being Head boy for some reason and two slytherins at that. It was a rather interesting setting, he never expected this to happpen....well ever.

He had heard something in the quiet hallways and looked around the corner. It was a student down here that didn't know her way around. That was a problem because they would get really lose, and well the door to Slytherin house is a wall, which would be hard to find for her. Thinking of a outcome for her, he had decided to be a nice guy.

When she passed him, walking closer to another wall. He got out of his hiding place and stood behind her with a smirk. " What are you doing down here? This isn't the best place to be by yourself " he said in a cold tone that made the Dungeons feel way more colder then what it already was.

Ellie jumped a bit and gave a little shriek. She wasn't expecting anyone to come up from behind her. Turning around she saw the boy that the voice belonged to. "Oh goodness! You startled me." Her voice quibered from the recent start. She placed one of her hands upon her hips and the other places on her bent forehead. She stood for awhile, trying to get her thoughts together.

"I'm so sorry. Am I not allowed to be down here? I can leave." She untilted her head face showing some worry. "I was just exploring. You see I've never been down here before so I though that..." she shut her mouth not knowing what to say.

She was starting to shrink under his gaze. She started to doubt her actions of going down there in the first place. She stood wrapping her arms around her torso believing the very had gotten colder.

Alex had covered his ears because of her Shrieking, Surprisingly she was a very skittish girl. While this was interesting to his predator side, he would not try to do anything stupid as of yet. Well it doesn't matter at the moment anyway, there were better things to do. " I see " He replied to her statement about shrieking like a banshee a few seconds ago.

As for the part of her being sorry for being here, he rolled his eyes and walked closer to her. So that they were only a few inches apart from each other and his Multicolored eyes looked into her own. " Anyone can come down here, but only the slytherins know all the ways around. If your exploring for something, then you should ask a slytherin to guide you and maybe I would be willing to give a grand tour of the slytherin common room, along with my head dorm. If you ask politely. "

He could see the worry on her face and knew that she was thinking about it. Or even me, someone that she doesn't know and then it hit him. He forgot to be polite for now. " oh, how could I forget. My name is Alex star the Slytherin Head boy, and Leader of the slytherins " He said the last few word sarcastically, because he wasn't the leader just yet, until he got rid of this one.

Ellie's blue eyes darted around, first looking at his and then away. She started to feel claustrophobic, even though she wasn't. She wanted to find a way back to the stairs. She thought that she would feel a lot better if she was there. But all she could do was stand there looking past the boy. Though she felt like she was shrinking, she knew that didn't need to happen. As he stood close to her, He towered over her 5'3" frame making her feel like the worlds smallest person.

Getting her courage up again, she tore her eyes away from where she came from, or where she though she came from. She remembers taking a lot of turns. Ellie's eyes made their way back to his face, his eyes, and she found them in a way distracting making it hard to concentrate, though she didn't let herself drift off to think about it. She kept her head about her, as best as she could.

Nodding to what he said about having a guide. She truly didn't know where she was going or where she came from, even though she looks to where she had been a few seconds ago wish for the stairs. " I have to admit, I would deeply appreciate it if you were my guide." she gave a small smirk with a quick quirky glance to the ceiling as she scrunched her face in defeat. A defeat she usually doesn't admit to very often, wanting help with things. She was a Ravenclaw, she was smart, she thought she could get through things without lots of help. But she needed it now.

She was excited to get a tour of the Slytherin common rooms, she wanted to fill her bookish mind with the image of what it looks like. She let herself smile. It would be exciting. "Well it's nice to meet you Alex Star. My name is Eloise Burgess, but everyone just calls me Ellie for short." She smiled wider showing her teeth as she introduced herself, but let it fall to a small smile. slightly bouncing on her feet ready for a grand tour of the place where she knew she would get lost in the matter of minutes.

Alex looked at her strangely, she seemed to be scared and very different. Accepting a offer from a Slytherin, Ravenclaws must be really trust worthy. He doubted that really but maybe she was really lose in his Dungeons. It was the nice thing to do, be a helpful Head boy for the time being.

He towered over her, looking at her petite form and her eyes were wandering. It was strange when she gave him a smirk, and acted like it was the end of her world. Maybe it would be? then again not many things could go wrong at all. Paying attention to her signals, he kept a good pace on what she was thinking. He did the gentlemen thing to do, when one meets a women.

Taking her hand in his own, he brought it up to his lips and kissed the top of her knuckles. Then lowered both there hands, looked at her with a smile. " Good to meet you Miss Burgess. I'ii lead the way " Still holding her hand, he started to walk down a few turns and corners before they would stop at a dead end. He moved closer to the wall, and mutter a set phrase as the wall changed.

" When your inside, just stick to me and don't give any odd reactions to the other slytherin " It was all he said, as he walked straight into the wall. His body disappeared but his hand was still holding onto her own. Pulling her into what could be a dead end, but a magical wall that allows people to phrase through. Once she would phrase through, she would be able to see the common room.

Like the Dungeon it had the same grey walls, but it was more warmer because of the fireplace. The walls were covered with old rugs, and the symbols of Slytherin house. Everything in the room was Ancient from the beginning of the school, the chairs, Cabinets, and well everything really in the room. Most of the students in Slytherin were pureblood, so they had everything anyway. He smirked at her again, wanting to see her reaction. " What do you think? " Some of the other slytherin males look, who he had and gave her a hungry glare, which I stopped with my own glare.

Ellie's eyes widened a bit showing the white around her irises. The gesture of kissing her hand was something that she wasn't expecting. She could feel the heat warming her cheeks. She couldn't think of what to say so she let her mouth stay shut without saying anything. If she dared to try, she might have had a squeak come out of her mouth. She might have stuttered afterwards. She really wasn't really expecting that kind of gesture from newly meeting him, she expected a hand shake.

Her mind stayed in a numb state, she didn't realize that he hadn't let go of her hand. Nor had she realized that he was guiding her around. Instead her mind was off in rapid fire. There ere many thoughts rushing around through her head. though her face was at a complete blank.

When her thoughts started to slow down, she realized that the boy had lead her to a wall. She heard him mumbling some words, and proceed forward into the wall. Cringing slightly, she readied herself for the impact that she knew that would happen when waling straight into walls. She didn't want slam into a wall and hurt herself, she had already done enough of that for the day. She closed her eyes as they drew nearer, but when the pain didn't come and the feeling of cold stone against her she opened them again.

Unlike anything else that she seen in the dungeon, to her, the room that she opened her eyes to was surprising. It looked much like the area that she had been, yet the furniture there said that it was lived in. Her eyes darted around the room taking in everything about her, to the rugs, and to the fireplace. The room about her had a warmer feeling. though she got the feeling to be on her guard.

She tried her best to hide any emotion that had appeared while entering the common room, she didn't want anyone to take advantage of that fact. She hated that. Taking an inaudible breath in, Ellie put on her best amazed smile and looked back at Alex. "Wow, I have to say that it's different from what I'm use to, but... It's amazing." all the time wondering if her act was believable.

Alex looked at her with one of his best smiles for her. Bringing her into the Slytherin common room and to some well furbished couch that students usually sat at in the winter in front of the fire. Allowing her to take a nice rest in the comfy chair as he released her hand from his own.

He was being a nice guy, so that he could finally be known for good instead of bad. Looking around the common room, before finally turning back to her. He had noticed her blush it was interesting and she was a Ravenclaw student as well. They were beating all other houses, and that only meant that he would have to work hard for the good of Slytherin house.

" So what do you think of the Slytherin common room? Is it the hell hole that most other houses spread around as rumors? "

Ellie was thankful that she was being lead to a couch. Her legs were feeling a bit weak from everything that had happened. When she released his hand from hers a sigh of relief escaped her as she plopped down on the couch. She moved this way and that until she found a comfy position. It was as if she was sitting on her hip, with one of her legs on her ankle with the knee propped up on the arm. This position was one that she frequently sat in to read in the library or in the Ravenclaw common room.

Her eyes darted around, taking in the whole scene again, making sure that she didn't miss anything. She also inwardly search for another feature, one that she often saw, a bookshelf. She yearned for a book to read, not having read one in a while. She hadn't trekked the way to the library for some while.

Her attention was brought back to the boy, "Well, it's not exactly what i expected, but truthfully it's not all bad. It's very cozy." Her eyes went back to trying to find something that might sate her brains fervid yearn to read. "Plus to be honest I haven't heard very many rumors, I'm more of the stay to myself person."
