A Civilized Meeting for All

Sofie patiently awaited the arrival of those she had summoned. Aaron was employed otherwise and the Death Eaters had fallen beneath the radar. Surely some of the Death Eaters had seen Sofie's ascent in Aaron's cavorted, but most would find this meeting to have jolting surprises- Naomi gone, Aaron off, and the newest recruit at the head of the table.

Sofie had already decided that she would let nothing in her manner or disposition apologize for her position. She felt secure under Aaron. She trusted that hetrusted her and so long as she acted sincerely for his wishes, she was certain no wrongs could befall her from her fellow Death Eaters. Besides, why apologize for doing her job? She alone had sought out to help the cause, to do more than she was asked. She would not apologize.

But she would, however, make tea. Tea and scones were available and she now awaited the others.

Beatrice was used to doing what she liked when she liked. She'd thought the Death Eaters would be fun. She'd be allowed to do as she liked with the bonus being told where the people to do it to were.

Yeah, not so much.

That was all there was to say, really. "Go here, do this" wasn't Bea's style. She was creative, she liked an audience. She had a personal touch. She had never seen the point of mass murder. So yes, she had left some people alive in that town. What point was there in terrorising a bunch of people if nobody was going to worry you might come back?

So Beatrice turned up on time, only so everyone would overlook her. Conforming people were boring people. In the room was that other sweet girl who probably had as many engagement rings as bodies under her bed. See what I mean?

Beatrice ignored her and helped herself to tea and scones. She wasn't going to eat them, but that was just what you did.

Death Manor. Ne'Os always felt at home here. Which was hard to say considering Ne'Os never considered a place a home since he had lost his beautiful manor a few years back. He appeared outside the manor with a soft pop. To anyone looking they heard pop but saw nothing. Ne'Os was wrapped in the loving embrace of invisibility. He wondered through the front door and into the room they would be meeting in.

He crossed the threshold and let the spell fall. He smiled at the magical raven on his shoulder before mumbling a few words at it. It clicked its beak in return.

"Ladies," he said charmingly showing his fangs. He stared at Sofie a second before he went and sat next to her studying her face. "You sit in Aaron's seat. I hope for your sake he knows of this little meeting otherwise I may just let my pet here kill you" he said quietly so t hat Beatrice and anyone else entering the room wouldn't hear. He stared at her eyes for a moment longer his own turning pitch black. Satisfied his warning would be received he looked away with a smile as he helped himself to some tea and took a sip.

"You know I don't think I have ever had a proper cup of tea except for this one fancy that it would be one skilled in the art of death to make it."

Sofie smiled politely as Beatrice entered and then raised her own cup of tea to her lips and sipped the hot liquid. Sofie valued Beatrice, but she did not think there was much opportunity to gain any sort of trust. Beatrice was very intense, but she was also not classic and predictable. She was not a stereotype and Sofie could appreciate that out of the woman.

Speaking of stereotypes...

Ne'Os entered and immediately started up. Sofie's eyes rested on him and she said, all politeness, "Aaron is fully aware. I am here at his command. He also advised me that I was not to tolerate the most remote form of insubordination and if you take that tone or even give me one look of disrespect, you will leave the meeting." She smiled warmly. "However, I trust it will not be a problem."

Mystique walked at a brisk pace, she was late. The dark lord would not be happy. She was new to this whole thing, and as much as she liked waking up early in the morning, which she did, it's totally delicious she couldn't afford to be late, especially of Sofie Elkin's command.

She entered the room, and only two people had arrived alongside Sofie. Ne'Os and Beatrice. She walked in during Sofie's lecture to Ne'Os and quickly let out a smile maybe she wouldn't notice her. She sat across Sofie and pretended to have be their the whole time. There was tea already there and she still hadn't drawn any attention, she put the rim of the cup to her lips, and the tiniest slurp came out, this would draw attention, and maybe not in the best way

Alexis sighed. She honestly didn't like meetings, not at all. All they were good for was wasting time, inherit opinion. And the occasional start of a fight between two of them. However she knew that they were nessesary, in order to know what they were doing. That still didn't mean she had to like them at all.

She thought she was going to be late to the meeting, but when she arrived at Death Manor, there was barely anyone there. Besides those in her family who were obviously always thete, the only other Death Eaters were Sofie, Ne'Os, Beatrice and Mystique. Maybe she wasn't that late. Her eyes glanced up at Sofie and stayed there for a moment before she shrugged and just stood there with her back against the wall.

More entered and Sofie sighed, for the turn out tonight was pitiful. She paused, before looking down at her own Dark Mark. With a decisive blink of her eyes, she touched her thumb down onto the mark, hard, digging her nail into it. Those who were not yet in their attendance would receive a painful burn and pain in their Dark Mark.

She looked at those who had indeed arrived. "Alexis, why don't you sit and make yourself comfortable," Sofie suggested in a tone that was clearly not a suggestion, but a command. "Everyone, please, drink and eat your fill. The rest of our company will be joining us shortly."

Ne'Os had managed to poor himself a cup of tea he was half way through a sip when a shooting pain filled his entire being. He set his cup down letting out a small groan of pain. The raven on his shoulder made a small child's giggle as it jumped from his shoulder and sipped at the tea. It then turned and looked up at him

"Explain the dark mark to me" it said in a women's voice.

"Its a tattoo given to us by Voldemort or the raining dark one" he said with a growl pouring himself another cup of tea and sipping from it.

"Yes but explain the magic behind it. You should know how it works"

"Its a curse that leaves a physical mark and one on the soul. It would allow the current leader to summon, track, and in some cases harm his or her followers."

"Can I be marked?"

"I doubt it. You are not alive"

"Neither are you"

Ne'Os swatted at it gasping as pain returned. The Raven gave the same child's giggle.

"Go interrogate someone else before I have you destroyed" Ne'Os said threateningly. Ne'Os knew the raven could be destroyed. He just didn't know how. The raven took one last sip from the tea it had liberated and jumped down the table to Mystique.

"My....companion has never met you. He wants to know who you are. He was just to scared to ask" The raven said.
