Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Murray sat in the Ravenclaw common room. He was in deep thought. He pondered on planning a party. He was a social person by habit. When your family is wealthy you have to be social with all the other wealthy people. He had learned a lot about parties as well. During the school year he does miss the social life part of being wealthy. He had to find a way to be more social during the school year.

He knew he should work on his homework but he didn’t want to. He was preoccupied with planning his social life. He didn’t even know who he would pull into doing this party. He just had to find someone to get them to plan this with him. He loved finding random lonely people and changing them into social happy people.

Most people wondered if he was actually from a weathly Pureblood family. They mostly wondered that if he was, which one he was actually from because he wasn't exactly like the rest of the Volkovs. They were all outgoing, happy, and just plain social. They always got along with others, but that didn't seem to be the case with Jayden Volkov. His sister, Thea, was like their parents and certain times she tried to get him to be like them too. But Jayden just wasn't the sock type of person.

If anything, the only thing he had in common with his family was the love for Quidditch they all shared. The boy's dormitories was starting to feel a bit cramped - though there was barely anyone else in there - and he decided to go down to the common room. His kitten, Athena, followed him down there, yawning and meowing up at him, "What are we supposed to do now? Classes are done for the day." Jayden shrugged. "Curfew is gonna be soon ... so I'm not sure." he said as he entered the common room.

Murray noticed he was no longer alone. His first ‘victim’ had arrived. He lent backwards on the couch he had claimed. He was deciding how he would go about ‘capturing’ the boy that had walked in. He’d just do what his dad does, act as normal as possible.

“A bit too crowded in the dormitory for you. I’m not in there because I really don’t want to listen to them talk about girls they are too scared to ask out,” announced Murray breaking the silence. Merlin, did he love doing that to people. He liked seeing them react to a highly social Ravenclaw; other houses just didn’t know what to make of it. It was funny to see how people react to him.

He honestly hadn't noticed that there was someone else in the common room. Jayden had the tendency to be oblivious to what went on around him, it was a sort of defense mechanism that he'd developed after an accident he had when he was eight years old. That was why he kept to himself so much, he was afraid of the accident happening again, even if he was sure it wouldn't. That was why it was so hard for him to interact with others, and why he decided to throw himself into Quidditch, because it might help him get over his fears.

Jayden blinked a couple of times and looked at the other Ravenclaw who had spoken out only moments ago. He said something about not wanting to to be in the dormitories because he didn't want to listen to the other boys talk about girls, and something about asking them out. Jayden shrugged and walked over to the seat nearest the fire and he sat down, looking at the fire for a moment. "They can get pretty annoying." he said finally, still looking at the fire.

Murray could tell that he had stumbled upon a shy one. That wasn’t going to hinder his plan. It was just going to take a longer route. If he played this right he’ll be able make a new friend too. It looked like it was going to be good day. Just another day at Hogwarts for Murray.

“The name is Murray Lynch,” he said holding out his hand. He smiled at the boy, trying to seem as friendly as possible. He didn’t want to scare off the boy either. So he tried to tone it down so not to risk the failure of his plan. He didn’t want to explain to the boy that he wasn’t using him just trying to make friends, no one ever believe him when he said that though most of the time it was true.
