Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

It Is Done Empty It Is Done

Post by Whight Linstrum Thu Aug 23, 2012 3:30 am

He fastened the last button on his jacket and glanced at his watch, it was almost time. Whight had not been feeling the best since his return but now was not the time to worry about such matters. He pocketed his glasses and journal and vanished from his home. In an instant he stood in front of Aaron's wand shop. Whight gave a look to the falling sun and then made his way into the shop.

Whight assumed Aaron was in his office, that's where they had done the majority of their business to begin with. A prick of excitement coursed through Whight as he remembered he may be receiving his own wand today. It would be hard to give up his father's, but Whight felt it was time to fully let go.

Whight heard movement in the back of the building. As usual, Aaron sat at his desk just as he was the during their last encounter. "Mr. Marcheti, it is done," he said.

Aaron looked at his watch and then back down at the wand in front of him. Whight would be arriving soon and he would be expecting his new wand. It was a beauty of a wand and it would help out Whight greatly. Since he had started making wands he had never put as much dark energy into a wand as he had this one. It was going to be used for evil, so the best thing to make it with was dark energy. It would be a great wand for the things that Whight was looking to do.

Whight came into his office, and Aaron lifted his hand to stop Whight from talking. He knew Whight would accomplish the mission, that was why he sent him on it, so he did not care about the little details. It was done, and that was all Aaron cared about. "They say a wand has a mind of its own, and I make wands, so what does that make me?" He smirked and he lifted the wand so that Whight could see it. "A god, perhaps?"

He placed the wand gently on the opposite end of his desk so that Whight could grab his new wand. "A basilisk is one of the rarest creatures known in the wizarding world. What is so spectacular about them is that you cannot look upon their face without dying. The argument could be made that you are the same, no? A core of basilisk skin is very rare indeed, this wand is the only one I have ever made that has it."

He stood up from his desk and he walked around to face Whight. "Elder wood.... strong yet majestic. A wood that is used most common for prolonged use of magic. Something that aurors or dark wizards are most fond of. Your wand, Whight, is very powerful. It has the ability to hold reserve magic in case you run out of energy. I have put in my own energy over the course of creating this wand, use it wisely."

It Is Done Empty Re: It Is Done

Whight had been waiting for this moment for a rather long time. Sure procrastination had played a part, but Whight felt this was the perfect time to receive such a gift. When the wand was displayed Whight could almost feel it's energy as if it were living. It was indeed a powerful wand and it seemed to call to him.

As Whight picked up the wand a heavy sensation of energy filled his body. Not only that, but Whight felt as if magic was in constant anticipation to leap from the wand; his finger tips and chest prickled. The connection between wand and owner had clearly been established. This was the very tool Whight needed to do his work in the fullest. Struck by the sheer beauty and power of what he held in his hand, Whight barely heard what Aaron was saying, but he heard nonetheless.

As Aaron spoke Whight felt the weight of his father's old wand inside his pocket. He still had not decided upon its fate, but that would come in time. It was now necessary for him to spend time with his new wand as to come accustomed to its new feel and potential abilities.

"Your gift is far more than I could have ever asked for," he said with a slight bow toward Aaron.

Whight felt a lurch in his stomach and did his best to repress the signs of his discomfort from Aaron, but he knew the man would notice. Still he attempted to move the conversation along. "As always, Mr. Marcheti, I'm at your disposal. Where am I needed next?"

It Is Done Empty Re: It Is Done

Whight seemed pleased with his wand and Aaron returned to behind his desk. He was also feeling ill and the desire to do anything seemed to vanish at a moments notice. Finishing the wand had been a task indeed, especially putting so much of his own energy into it. He had so many things to do, but the only thing he could think to do was lay down on his bed upstairs.

Whight was direct and to the point, a trait Aaron looked for in an individual. He hated small talk and appreciated someone who would get right to the point. Aaron reached into his desk and he pulled out a folder which he put on the desk. He slid it towards Whight and motioned for him to open it.

"Inside you will find a list of known Order members and people we think are Order members. Each name has a number, 1-5, which signifies their importance. I need you to become one of them. Do whatever it takes. From this point forward, you do not know me or anyone else that I associate with. You are the harbinger of good as far as the Order is concerned. Kill anyone, and I mean anyone, who needs killing." He paused for a moment and then smiled. "Except me, of course."

"I want them to trust you so much that they send you back undercover to me. That is your goal, and if you make it back here, then you will receive your next orders." He reached into his desk again and he pulled out a bag filled with gold and tossed it on the table. "Thanks to you, our funds have more than doubled. That will cover your transition to the good side. New everything. Wipe every stain that you may have away." He nodded his head and signified that he was done with Whight.

Before he could leave, though, Aaron looked up. "Oh and Whight... I am sure it does not need to be said but if I am discovered it can only mean one thing, you have given me up. I will find you and I will kill you."

There was little more that Whight could ask for at this point. New wand, fresh orders, detailed information and payment was all he needed. He was happy to work for Aaron. The man was reliable, powerful, and most of all a steady line of work for Whight. He knew Aaron was not a man to double cross, but neither was Whight. The man had been honest with Whight from the beginning therefore he had nothing to reconsider, but Whight always watched his back.

Whight took his new belongings without a word. Listened intently to Aaron's final words before saying, "I'll be seeing you soon then." With a 'pop' he was gone, anxious to work on his new assignment.
