Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

A Slytherfriend Empty A Slytherfriend

Post by Brandon Vasquez Wed Aug 01, 2012 5:29 am

Brandon entered the Leaky Cauldron. It was a dingy, run down environment but he liked their food and drinks. Their service and patrons were questionable in friendliness. They didn't particularly like the presence of students in the pub. But he didn't care he just kept walking with a smile on his face. "Hello everyone," he said out loud in pub. The depressed and grumpy adults just grunted. Brandon continued to go about his business. He was never offended by their rudeness.

He had the Daily Prophet in his hand and was reading while walking. He ran into someone because of his lack of attention. "Oh. I'm sorry. That was my fault," he said apologetically.

Caiden decided to head down to the Leaky Cauldron for some lunch and a drink of butterbeer. He was still shaken up by his run in earlier at Knockturn Alley. But he was out of it now, in one piece of course - thanks to Cerulia. 'Never doing that again,' he said, mostly to himself. Stepping in, he looked around and stood there, gathering everything he saw in the room. Caiden never liked the Leaky Cauldron, the place smelt of piss and alcohol and the interior was run down and depressing. However they made up for it with their great foods and drinks. Caiden took a step forward and began to walk towards the counter. On his way there he accidentally bumped into someone, this was the second time today and this time it wasn't him. 'Watch it, dingus!' he snapped accidentally not exactly trying to be mean. What was it with him today, bumping into people he needed to start looking out for people now.

Brandon gathered the stuff that he had dropped when he bumped into the guy. He had snapped at him. "Sorry dude, chill. I'm sorry I wasn't paying attention," he said to guy. He wasn't able to stop apologizing. It was in his nature. Whenever he wronged, he had to make it right. Brandon wasn't necessarily insulted by the guy's remark, but more surprised at it. Obviously he was having a bad day. But of course, Brandon had to still keep doing things to make it right.

"Um Can I buy you something?" he said, trying to be nice to the guy.

'Oh, no I am the one that sorry.' said Caiden, after a few second of calming down. 'I didn't mean to snap at you,' he said, kneeling down to help the strange boy with his stuff and got up. Caiden looked around and saw some people were looking at them suspiciously. 'No, I'm good thanks,' replied Caiden as the guy tried offering to buy him something. 'I need a good excuse to spent all these moneys,' he jiggling his pocket full of coin. Caiden hated having lots of coin in his pocket it would keep pulling down his pants and he would need to pull it up again. 'How about I buy you something?' he asked the guy, taking his gaze off the people in the room and looked at the boy.

The boy had apologized right after he had said the rude remark to Brandon. He had even helped him pick his stuff up. That was weird Brandon thought. The boy's emotions had changed so fast. It was quite strange. People were starting tom stare at them. The Leaky Cauldron was either filled with adult weirdos or adult who're depressed and angry. And also the kids who didn't give if they wanted them in there or not.

"I'm fine, really. By the way, I'm Brandon. Brandon Vasquez," he said, sticking his hand out.

Caiden heard the boy introduce him so he turned around and stared at his hand blankly. 'Caiden, Caiden Aritza. Nice to meet you Brandon,' he smiled and nodded as he shook his hand. From behind him, he could smell a warm, blustering soup filling his noise causing his mouth to water up and his stomach to grumble. Caiden didn't realise how hungry he was at the moment. Caiden turned his head back to his new friend, Brandon and looked at him. 'Would you like to accompany me in my meal?' he asked, eyeing the boy carefully as he waited for a response. 'I don't get much company when I eat, gets quite lonely,' he added afterwards. He could use this opportunity to know this stranger who had just bumped into him earlier and now he could befriend him.
