Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Moonfishing Empty Moonfishing

Post by Kirby P. Byron Tue May 29, 2012 4:59 am

Kirby took a drag from his cigarette and leaned against his Gullwing, patiently awaiting the arrival of a stellar older woman by the name of Lena. His Gullwing held their gear and he had dressed loosely due to the warm weather- a loose cotton shirt and some dark pants. He rolled up his sleeves and pulled out a map that one of Lupin's people had given him from his pocket and lit it with his cigarette. He dropped it and stubbed out the fire with his boot.

Dartmoor to collect moonfish. Oesky little buggars, apparently. Only seen in moonlight, hence Kirby's request that Lena meet him at this abandoned warehouse at eight thirty exactly. They'd leave the Gullwing here and apparate over to the swamp in Dartmoor with his equipment and do what they could. The plan was simple and that was why it would work.

He pushed himself up farther onto the hood and tipped his head back, blowing smoke into the sky. The sun was setting and he was feeling confident. Lena was capable, as was he. They just had to worry about swampland, quicksand, and creatures. Hardly anything. He was closer to helping Emmeline. Though he had to admit, it was easy to forget the girl while she was off at Mungo's and all these pretty women abounded. Still, he had to assist her. She was his sole companion.

"Lena Bean-a, where are you?" Kirby howled into the wind.

Moonfishing Empty Re: Moonfishing

Post by Lena Medic Wed Jun 20, 2012 4:28 am

With telescope eyes, Lena had inspected her surroundings as she danced to-and-fro amongst the stray alley creepers. Meow. Lena spun around a building corner, her feline assistant trotting closely at her heels. She cast a glance to one rooftop in particular, before allowing her gaze to glide throughout the evening air. And when she'd grown content with the conclusion that she had come to, Lena returned her spyglass to its proper place in her belt. Two men stand on either rooftop corner, each with his wand drawn. We are being followed.

"Come along," Lena gently commanded the cat that had taken to accompanying her on her trek around the building, where she understood she would find the familiar face of one Kirby Byron. "Look at me - ten minutes late. Whatever are you going to do with me?" Lena spoke from across the short distance that remained between herself and the wizard who had summoned here there, her claim of having arrived after the Gullwing being so small a lie as to require no real effort of Lena. With her usual smile, Lena joined Kirby atop the hood of his car and casually folded her arms across her vest-clad torso, "You rang?"

Moonfishing Empty Re: Moonfishing

Kirby was practically flopping and flailing around on the hood, each spare minute feeling like absolute, utter torture. He could be doing something- though, in reality, he probably could not. Getting these moonfish bastards was going to be tough enough as it was. He didn't need to worry about sinking into the swamp or anything trivial while he was busy trying to catch a luminscent fish. He hated to admit it, but he needed help, and Lena was some of the best help he could get.

He heard a voice and he sat up. Grimly, he said, "about bloody time." He flicked the cigarette away and pushed himself off of the hood, approaching her. They met halfway and he said, "This new epidemic- we're gonna cure it single-handedly. The Lupins think moonsfish scales will get them close to a cure, so we're getting some." He paused, sure she wanted to know why they even cared. "Emmeline has a dreadful case. One of the worst they've seen." Anyone who knew Kirby knew his sidekick.

He cleared his throat and moved back to the Gullwing, pulling out his equipment and shouldering it. "We're heading off to Dartmoor. We have a trek from where we're apparating and night should just be falling as we get there. You ready?"
