Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Rhys sneezed.

And sneezed.

And sneezed.

Wrapped up in her cloak, Rhys had taken it upon herself to force herself out of bed and start heading down to the grounds. Even though she felt like crap, she drug her feet down the stairs to the first floor, where she had to stop. This once lively ball of energy was covered in sweat, and her face was tinged green.

On a second look it was obvious that it wasn't just tinged green.. her face WAS green, bright, emerald green. Rhys scratched at her arm, and sighed, a sigh which quickly turned into a cough as she made her way down the steps and outside. The light was bright, and she was already getting a headache, but Rhys had decided she was going to combat this horrible cold thing, and try to beat it out with her own form of medicine, she was going to forget it existed.

Rhys made her way down the front steps, groaning softly with each one, her body aching and protesting against the movement, but move she did, move she had to, she wasn't just going to sit around and feel sorry for herself, but this was taking more out of her than she had expected. Wrapping her cloak tighter, Rhys made her way down the grounds to the lake.

Lysander trudged down to the first floor of Hogwarts from the Ravenclaw tower. He hadn't really been out from there since a few weeks ago because of an illness he was suffering from. This wasn't something that was only affecting him though, a lot of students, including his brother, had also been affected but it seemed that it had affected him the most because while everyone else had been able to go on normally, he hadn't. He'd been stuck in bed for longer than he would have hoped for. This was something that his family had actually expected, because he had always been the weaker one out of him and brother. Still when they saw he wasn't getting any better, his parents actually considered taking him out of school and putting him in St. Mungos. But through his pleas, they decided to leave him there, he just had to visit the Hospital won't constantly - because he didn't want to be stuck in there all the time.

After he'd stopped by the Hospital Wing to get checked, he didn't feel like going back up to Ravenclaw tower, so he forced himself out into the Grounds of the school. No one had let him go out there because they said it would be bad for him, but they hadn't thought that having him stuck in the tower all day would be suffocating for him. Now as he stepped outside and took a deep breath, that quickly became a long, painful cough, he actually felt a little better. He still felt like crap though, but being outside was really helping him. Lysander walked down the path to the lake slowly, taking in his surroundings, all the plants beginning to grow, the trees getting this leaves back, and the animals running around happily. He smiled at the sight, he loved watching eberything grow and be happy, especially after a winter like the one they had.

Rhys was making her way, slowly and painfully to the lake when she heard footsteps behind her, slightly muffled from the fact that she had pulled her cloak up all the way to her ears. Her skin had turned an embarrassing emerald green, nearly all of her, it was as though it had targeted the areas that people could see, and not the areas people couldn't. It ran over her entire face, her neck, her shoulders and arms, and then skipped most of her torso to run down her stomach in small light patches, and than to her legs, where it was a shocking, deep emerald that stood out against anything she wore that her legs might stick out of. You'd have thought she had just turned green, but there was still patches of normal skin left.

There was also this rash, a horrible, itchy, grating rash that ran down her left arm, all the way to her palm, and than across her stomach as well. It was the same emerald green, but little bumps covered that part of her body, and itched like crazy, she had some itching ointment to soothe it, but it wasn't helping much, it still itched like crazy. To tired and sore to even turn around, she didn't care who it was behind her, Rhys stopped, and waited for the footsteps to either go around her, or stop with her.

Lysander scratched his arm as he walked and he groaned. It itched so badly and if he scratched it too much, his arm began to hurt and it really bothered him. His arm began to tingle with the pain he had tried to keep away, but had come on from his excessive scratching. He winced at the pain and hid his arm so that he wouldn't scratch it anymore, though he knew he would start scratching it at any moment. He gritted his teeth to try to hide his discomfort from the pain. He felt his arm pulse and he tried to shake it off.

He stopped in his tracks when he saw the back of a girl and he blinked. He recognized that figure, but the person escaped his mind. He stared at the figure for a long moment before taking a hesitant step forward. That familiar feeling of butterflies in his stomach came on and he immedately stepped back again. He didn't know what to do and he swallowed hard before daring to step forward again. He walked around the girl and came to a stopped just a little bit in front of her and he turned around. He blinked again before a wide grin crossed his lips. "Rhys!" he exclaimed. Though she was different now, as in a different color, he would recognize her anywhere.

Rhys looked up when he stepped around her and she smiled at him. "Hey Lysander.. how are you?" She said and than sneezed, turning her head away from him so she wouldn't sneeze on him. "You sick too?" She asked glancing him over to see if she could see any green patches. She absentmindedly scratched at her arm and smiled at him, her nose running slightly, and her mouth slightly open so she could breath easier, mostly because she couldn't breath through her nose anyway.

"Been a while.. I got sick, really sick, this is the first time out of my dorm since like.. 2 weeks.." She said shaking her head and immediately regretting it due to the headache that pulsed in her temples. She sighed and wiped at her nose with her sleeve, looking around the beautiful grounds that lay sprawled in front of them, it was beautiful, a lovely spring day, and yet she felt like crap, and had for ages. "Walk with me.. I need to move around, I've decided I will beat this thing.. beat it if it kills me." She said and took a few painful steps forward, waiting for him to fall into step beside her.
