Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Finding the things you need Empty Finding the things you need

Post by Silvyr Svan Mon Dec 26, 2011 8:20 am

Silvyr followed the man up the steps not knowing what to expect. His mind told him know though he was following his heart,. It was the first time since his experience in the hospital that he had trusted anyone beyond his friend Leah.

He felt empty and alone while walking through the doors that Whight had ushered him through so casually. He walked through the hallway with expensive trinkets all through the house, and great wizards portraits lining the walls.

He watched as some stretched and others just stared while they walked down the hallway before stopping at what seemed to be a dead end. Whight pulled out his wand and cast a spell moving the wall that stood before them.

He was not caught off guard, wondering when the entrance would be made available for them as it was normal for the wizarding community to hide there rooms of great wealth and solitude behind magical walls, so that the world would not find them.

He gazed at the walls that were lined with books. Shelf after shelf were filled reaching all the way to the ceiling. Silvyr was looking for a book on spell creation or casting to pear through. His mind was so wrapped up in the idea that he became embarrassed when his host asked him to tell him the type of book he was looking for.

He did not want to seem rude, though the topic had been on his mind for the past month. He looked to Whight and asked, "I have been curious of spell creation. Possibly, your master has knowledge of the topic." He knew it was a statement though he hoped if Whight knew of any books he could point him in the right direction. It would be a waist to pass up an opportunity to help his and Aaron's cause before deciding weather or not Whight was worth the trouble. He could at least be of some assistance before Silvyr had decide if he was worthless or not.

Finding the things you need Empty Re: Finding the things you need

Whight was intrigued but did not let it show. The man had just shown a side of himself that said a lot more than just a request for the literature he was looking for. Whight knew exactly where the books were but he silently and slowly scanned the shelves to further digest who he may potentially be in a closed room with. Spell creation, Whight thought. An exceedingly dangerous and difficult art. Could this man posses the ability? He briefly look the man up once more in his peripherals to confirm the possibility of his potential.

Whight wordlessly pulled three books from various areas off the bookshelves. The titles read; Mei Lacuna, The Tried and The Died, and Your Creation. He let Silvyr look the books over saying, "You may find some use for these. This book here is full of all known Latin words; took me years to find that one," his finger jumped to the next book in line. "This is a book comprised of five complete biographies of wizards who tried and failed with their own spell creation, one or two of the greats' are in here. And last but not least, a book that goes through the basics as well as the complexities of spell creation." Whight clasped his hands behind his back, "These are the only books I feel would be of any assistance to you. Unfortunately, I cannot simply give them to you, they are to remain in my possession only; rules of my master's you see," he said with a light smile.

He let Silvyr make a further examination of the books. He had hoped his knowledge or his ability to retrieve any knowledge at his will would prove to be of interest to the man. A serious spell creator was an individual Whight had never come in contact with. The man had already begun to prove his worth the Whight.

Finding the things you need Empty Re: Finding the things you need

He watched Whight intently as he scanned the room looking over the walls of books and finally coming to the section he was searching for. Three books moved off of the shelf they had been resting on wedged between other.

Their bindings were beautiful old leather that was well looked after to say the least. It made him double check his surrounding with his eyes. He knew that the possibility of seeing what he was searching for was far fetched but it had been awhile since he had laid eyes on a house elf. His hopes vanished quickly as the books moved into Whights outstretched arms.

Whight spoke with calm and steady words as he approached him with the books. Silvyr allowed the weight of the knowledge come over his arms. He could have smiled but found no need. His mind was on the man standing before him. His job was in the back of his mind now.

He tucked the books under his left arm. Whight began again in the same tone. Calm strong though not off putting. His words were spoken with the tone of equality. Silvyr was satisfied with the mans demeanor. His body was relaxed though he could sense a sense of preparation in his arms and legs. He could easily defend himself from any attack Silvyr might try to surprise him with.

He spoke slowly motioning with his hand to the chairs and allowed his host to move first. "I have to apologize for my eagerness on my studies. Though, if my heart is true, I would be willing to bet you are a man of a taste for knowledge such as I." He put the books down on the side table sitting to his left and fought the temptation to open the beautiful pages and become lost for hours in the words of those who studied long before him. Speaking again swiftly, "Moving on though, let us begin where we left off shortly before we began our walk to this amazing acquired fortune of knowledge. I spoke of us who are working to fix the problems with this world. To put it bluntly, we are few but many and strong. You will not see us for we work in and through shadows. What you see as a mistake we see the events that will come next that we have been expecting. When you think you've got us figured out, you could not be more mistaken. When you think you know who we are all then you are looking at a stranger to both of us. So take what you see and hear and look through the face value. I will tell you this in solitude. That being said, if you speak of it then expect to wake up the next day unaware of who you are and what you are doing in the middle of the ocean. Wandless" He stopped looking at the mans eyes. Seeing the feelings well up inside of him that showed what Silvyr had already assessed. "You are strong, and you can take care of yourself. But the fact is that you are nothing more than a man, much like myself at one point, without a purpose. And you are alone. It is the one strength you rely on, yet at the same time your one of very few weaknesses." He stopped speaking again allowing Whight to digest the truth of his words.

He spoke again slowly while Whight stared him down. "I know that you believe in yourself and your abilities. You may not need us now, but believe me that will not last long. Soon they will come for you. You know who I speak of, and they will not allow you to live if your answer is not the one they wish to hear. I do not believe in that style of living. If you accept our offer, then you will see that your life style will not change and you will be a free man. Open to do as you please and go about your life. Speaking of, if you wish for me to stop then I will leave now and you will never hear from us again." He sat in his chair, heart thumping. He knew the man in front of him was a great ally yet dangerous enemy. He refused to break eye contact though. This man was strong but Silvyr had seen worse and knew that he was nothing compared to wizards he openly spoken out against. He did not fear death and a feeling was digging at him, refusing to be ignored.

This man was interested. He wanted change as badly as Silvyr.

Finding the things you need Empty Re: Finding the things you need

This man meant more business than Whgiht had originally anticipated. If Whight hadn't known better he would have ventured to guess that their run-in was intentional, but he knew how unlikely that would be. He was good at noticing when someone was on his trail and he made it point to not let himself be known as just one person. No, this was a random occurrence of events and Whight was glad to have intrigued the man so quickly and easily to the point that he was being offered a life changing path.

What this man really saw in Whight he knew not but he was interested, though, he did not want to come off as simple or naive. "By the way you speak I am assured can do whatever you like with me or you know someone who can," said Whight playing down his own strengths. "So know that this conversation will not leave this room unless it is brought up amongst only us or those we trust." Whight leaned back in his chair an propped his chin upon his palm and thought for a moment. I need a little more than just the words of a random man, he thought.

Whight assumed this wasn't the primary puppet master of what was being orchestrated but it would not surprise him if this man had great influence on the greater individual. There needed to be a bit more for Whight, he needed to meet the man pulling most or all the strings in this line of work, the last thing he wanted to be seen as was a gullible fool. "I neither accept or decline your offer. I simply just need more than the word of a stranger and possible a few more details. I'm sure you can understand the potential risk I could be putting myself in. I mean no disrespect or offense so know what I say is still out of interest, but I would like to meet then man in charge of what you have proposed."

If the man could set up some form of meeting that would give Whight some of the answers he was looking for, then this organization that was being constructed would be exactly what he was looking to be involved with.

Finding the things you need Empty Re: Finding the things you need

Silvyr smiled slightly and knew that he had done what was needed. He prided himself as a man that knew when not to over stay his welcome. He stood and patted the books that were beside him.

He spoke softly, "I will let you think it over for as long as you need. Do not try to contact us. If the person you speak of is interested in you, then he will find you. I thank you for the offer of the books, but I'm afraid I will not be able to spend the time needed to learn what it is I am looking for." He turned to walk out of the study before speaking again. "Thank you for your hospitality. I can see myself out."

He left the man in the study and exited the house. The street was cold again but his thoughts were racing and he didn't notice. Could this be a man that Aaron had spoken of? Someone worthy of joining their goal? He walked to the forest he had come to the city through, glancing over his shoulder many of time. He didn't want to be caught off guard if Whight had decided to follow him.

He entered the woods and transformed into his wolf form taking off into a dead sprint. He needed to make it back to Leah before the night was out.
