Charms Class

((This class is being run in a different style than the usual ones. In this it will be like a one on one test, Students will have waited outside the classroom before entering it one at a time to complete their task. Please write your response in a single reply and try and keep it original. Points will be awarded for the following
- Creativity
- Success (Minimally)
- Originality
- Quality
And total marks will be out of forty.
Don't stress too much about quality, by the way, content is far more important!))

Jess was quite please with himself, with his class for today.

The inside of the charms class had been altered, Jess had spent the better part of five minutes enchanting the room itself to block out any sources of external light, be it through a crack in the wall to light streaming through a keyhole, it wouldn't enter this classroom.

Exiting that classroom Jess walked into the Second Floor corridor, looking about at the students who had bothered turning up for his class and nodded.

"Good morning," he said cheerily, clapping his hands together and gesturing at the classroom. "I have a task for you today," he told them all, grinning as he did so.

"My classroom, as you see," he said, pushing the door open as he spoke, "has been enchanted to block out any light entering it. Your task today will be to find me. I have hidden myself in the room and it's your job to use charms in the best way you can think to make me appear. There are no wrong methods, as long as you keep to charmwork, and I wont deduct marks if you accidentlty trip over me, that'd be my own fault I suppose," he said with a chuckle.

"So, that's all, form a line and get yourselves ready to come in, after 5 minutes of trying I'll reveal myself and mark you on how well you did so far, understandably non-completion wont give you full marks," he explained.

"Good luck," he said simply, turning on his heel and walking through the door, closing it behind him with a click before casting a weak disillusionment charm on himself and hiding right in the middle of the classroom.

Autumn was rather skeptical of this activity but non the less was the first into the room. She wasn't too confident but wanting to make a good impression she stepped up to the task. How hard is it to find a teacher? She thought of a charm, well, It may work if its well thought out. raising her wand as the door shut behind her she thought of the first thing to come to mind.
"Lumos." Well nothing happened, it was after all a charm to not let any light through. She thought again, stepping more into the room.
"Accio professor." She said, she heard a thud and a crash as something was thrown right at her.
"Well done Autumn," he said he picked himself up "What made you think of that?"
"It's just somethig my dad does to find things." She replied half heartedly. She wasn't the most talented in the class for Charms but she wasn't fond of the Dark Arts. The door opened and she made her way out of the room. The task was over for her she guessed as she watched the next people walk into the room.

Serena made her way to charms class to notice the professor and everyone outside of the class. She had her charms book open and was refreshing her memory on all the charms she had learned for the last few years. She tried to get ahead in lass but she didn't have many people to practice with her. She was not to fond of the Hospital wing so she was a bit shy of trying new spells. When the professor started talking she closed her book and listened to him. He wanted them to find him in a dark room. No doubt he was going to charm himself to stay hidden. She hoped he would stay in one place and did not move around the classroom. Maybe he would make it to easy for the students. Well that is if they are good at the spells they performed.

She watched as the first student enter and came out barely 2 minutes in. Or that is what it felt like to her. No one stepped up so Serena went second. As she entered the room she noticed the pitch darkness. She felt a tightness in her chest. She reminded herself that this was just a class and that her professor was the only other person in here. She took a deep breath and thought of a good spell, that would help just a little. She thought about the 'Lumos' spell. Everyone probably tried to use that. She wanted to be original.

She remembered the page that she was on before she entered the room. A spell that popped into her head was one that water produced from the end of the wand. But she couldn't remember if that was a charm or not. The darkness of the room was messing with her head. She took a deep breath and thought about the spell. It came to her, 'Aguamenti'. She just didn't know how to pronounce it. Hopefully there wasn't another spell that was close to the pronunciation of this spell.

"Aguamenti." Serena yelled to have water spray in her face. She didn't realize in her confused state of mind her wand was backwards and it was facing her. Now she was soaked head to toes. Great just what she needed. She didn't know the spell to dry herself off. Now for sure the professor could move if he could. She knew that with all the water on her, she couldn't surprise a mouse.

As Kiara entered the classroom it took her eyes a while to get used to the pitch blackness that was around her. "Lumos." Kiara muttered to herself but as she tried the spell the light flicked for a second and went off which made Kiara sigh. It was logical that the Professor put charms around the room making it to where they couldn't use Lumos to find him. "Ok Kiara your great at Charms, so just think of Charms you could use to find the Professor."Kiara thought to herself. As she tried thinking it was no use for the darkness wasn't helping her think but only making her want to sleep.

"Wake up Kiara, you got to think!"Kiara thought to herself as she racked her brains with Charms she could sue to find the Professor. "Well... there's the summoning charm but that's cheating a bit plus this task was to be diffcult for us. "Think Kiara think."Kiara thought to herself as she started thinking of spell she could possibly used to find the pforessor. "Ah ha I got it I'll use Aqua Eructo to find the professor."said Kiara smirking to herself. "Forgive me for doing this Professor."said Kiara softly as she pointed her wand out in front of her.

"Aqua Eructo!"said Kiara as a icy blue light came out of her wand as a jet of water came out of her wand. As she aimed in dfferent directions like a muggle water hose she stopped as she heard coughing. "I'm sorry prfoessor, I didn't mean to make you cough up water."said Kiara softly. "Are you ok?"Kiara asked him curously hoping he was. If he wasn't Kiara would fill horrible for hurting her favorite profeesor and she hoped she did good.

Darius was waiting in the second floor corridor with what seemed like the oddest collection of students he had seen in one place since the Welcome Feast. Most of these girls around him were younger than him by far, which meant they wouldn't be even remotely interesting to chat up while he waited for Professor Potter to figure his shit out and start class. The sign on the door had said to wait outside, and although Darius wasn't always keen on following instructions, he figured anything that prolonged his having to enter a classroom was a directive worth following.

Darius had taken a place on the floor with his back against a wall, long legs sprawled out in front of him blocking most of the hallway. Jess came out after about 10 minutes of leaving them waiting and made his instructions without interruption from Darius. For once, the oaf had actually planned a lesson that didn't involve mindless regurgitation of spells they had all learned five years ago. The task was an intuitive, wholistic one, and Darius had to wonder if his professor had finally gotten something right.

Doesn't seem likely... Darius thought, smirking to himself as he examined his fingernails. The other girls in the hallway seemed anxious to get a chance to go first into the classroom, and Darius thought this situation warranted a bit of thought before he threw himself into it. He could think of several charms that would make the professor more easily found in the dark, but quite a few of them involved making Jess scream in pain... which might not have been exactly what the professor intended.

Maybe we can surprise wee Potter... Darius thought maniacally, drumming his fingertips together as he listened to the cacophony of sound coming from the classroom as each girl took her turn. The last girl was still in there, using what sounded like a bucket of water to find the professor. A stupid idea, Darius thought, but at least Jess would probably be on the receiving end of that stupidity, which was enough for Darius to approve of it.

Now he would just have to make up his mind before his turn came up. Which spell would make Potter squeal the loudest...

Brian was unsure of how he was going to find the professor. He was not the greatest at Charms, but he loved the class. So he was glad when he found out everyone was going to be going in on their own. He watched as the other students went in and came out, and it seemed like no time before it was his turn. It was not until he was actually in the pitch dark room that he realized he had not been thinking about the spell he was going to use. At first, he stood there scratching his head, but then he realized he had to get down to business.

He pulled his wand out and then thought of a few spells. He tried to remember some of the spells that Professor Potter had taught them and he remembered one that almost made him laugh. They had just learned it not to long ago, and he knew it would reveal the position. ( Sorry there is no verbal version of the spell so I guess we will just go with it. ) It was the cheering charm. Brian figured if he could make the professor giggle he would easily find him.

He pointed his wand in all directions, muttering the incanation over and over again, until he heard a faint giggle. Brian smirked to himself and he kept it in the direction and kept saying the spell until the professor was having fits of laughter. "Can't hide if you're laughing professor." Brian said with a smirk on his face, proud of the way he had discovered him.
