watching the leaves fall from the trees

Leslie loved the fall for it was her favorite season for she loved it when the leaves started changing colors. As she walked out of the Gryffindor Common Room she headed down the stairs towards the entrance hall and out the door. As the crisp and cold ait hit her face she smiled for she loved the cool fall air hitting her face it was calming and peaceful. Walking down the sloping lawn of Hogwarts she headed towards the lake one of her favorite place throughtout Hogwarts. As she flopped down under her favorite tree she stared at the lake watching a giant squid come up from the surface and go back down.

Leslie couldn't believe it was already October it seemed like it haven't been that long to her, but time does go by fast like her brother Andrew always said. "Soonier or later it'll be Christams time."said Leslie to herself sighing. It seemed like the older you got the faster time kept on going and you couldn't stop it. Leslie knew she only had two more years here and she knew they were going to go by fast so she better enjoy them while she could. Sighing to herself her eyes tore off the lake to leaves on the ground. Picking one of them off she started playing with it and twirling it around.

"You never go... You're always here, suffocating me. Under my skin... I cannot run away."

Damirtius sang as she walked down from the Gryffindor Common Room to go to the lake. This song was one of her favorites, sure it was old, but it was a good song, and she loved it. She walked out of the entrance hall in the castle, and as soon as she stepped outside, she heard the crunch from the fallen leaves and smiled. It was finally fall, and that meant that soon it would be Christmas!

She smiled and skipped down the path that led to the lake. She was so happy today, and it was kind of weird. Usually there was something to ruin her day, but today there was nothing. She was just plain happy. And now thinking about Christmas made her even happier. She would get to see her family now... but there was one person she didn't want to see during the vacation and she would surely be there... Alexis...

"Fading... slowly... I'd give it all to you. Letting go of me reaching as I fall. I know it's Already Over now!"

She continued to sing as she reached the lake. Mitri looked down toward the lake and she saw someone familiar playing with the leaves. "Leslie!" she called to her fellow Gryffindor. She took off across the grass to reach the girl.

Leslie stopped playing with the leaf in her hand as she heard a familiar voice calling out her name. Looking up she noticed Damirtius a fellow Gryffindor and fifith year. "Hey Damirtius!"said Leslie as she gave her a soft warm smile at her friend. "What are you singing?"Leslie asked her softly noticing she was singing as she was walking towards her. "Your in a really happy mood tiday."said Leslie smiling at her fellow Gryffindor friend. Not that Leslie smiling but Damirtius was her friend if you wanted to call her that, she knew they had classes together so they seen each other all the time.

As picked the leaf she was playing with she started twirling it around again. "I just love fall don't you? the weather so cool and the leaves are so pretty!"said Leslie. "I know, I should SO lame saying that but it's true!"said Leslie. Sighing to herself she looked up at the trees and the leaves falling and smiling. "Are you ready for Christams time?"Leslie asked her softly. Leslie soft of was but then again she sort of wasn't she loved it here but she was ready to go back to her family cause she missed them already.

"Nothing left to lose.. loving you again. I know it's Already Over, Already Over now... My best defense, running from you..."

Damitrius continued to sing as she ran closer to Leslie. She stopped singing long enough to answer her question. "Oh, it's a song from like 2004 or 2005, that I really like! It's called Already Over. It's one of the best songs I ever heard." she said, and smiled. "I know right?! I don't know why I'm so happy today, I just am!" she exclaimed as she threw herself onto the ground, and heard the crunch of the leaves under her. "I love to hear that sound!" she giggled. She smiled at her friend, and sighed, feeling her giddiness slowly leave her body.

"Cost me every... cost me everything. I can't resist, take all you want from me... fading slowly..."

She continued to sing happily, as she staredat the lake, wondering about the giant squid that lived there. "You know I wonder if the squid gets lonely. Because everyone that comes here doesn't pay attention to it, they just carry on with whatever they're doing without even saying hi to it. It does have feelings after all so it must be sad." she said softly. "Anyways, I love fall. It's like the best season on the world. And it's so close to winter and Christmas! I can't wait for the vacation, I want to see my family." she said, remembering Alexis, the biggest disgrace of her family. "Well some of my family." she said, shaking her head and going back to singing.

"I'd give it all to you, letting go of me... reaching as I fall. I know it's Already Over now! Nothing left to lose, loving you again! I know it's already over noo-oooooo-ooo-oooowww!" she sang trying to hold the long note in the song.

Leslie nodded. "Sounds interesting, I may have to listen to it myself later."said Kiara giving Damitrius a soft warm smile. Leslie chuckled at her friend happiness. "Well... there's nothing wrong with being happy."said Leslie softly. Leslie chuckled as Damitrius threw herself onto the ground making a cruching sound dued to the leaves under her. "I know right? we should so play in the leaves just for fun."said Lesliesoftly as she grabbed some leaves and threw them up in the air giggling as she did. Leslie loved fall but not as much as she loved the winter time for the snow was so pretty.

Leslie stopped playing with the leaves and looked at the lake as she heard Damitrius asked if the squid get lonely. "I bet it does, I always see it come up every now and then but I never say hi to it which I know I should."said Leslie softly. Damitrius was right for animals and creatures had feelings just like they did so she bet it was sad. "I can't wait until Christmas either, I love Christmas at my house on the ranch it's so peaceful and pretty!"said Leslie softly. Leslie looked at Damitrius confused as she said she couldn't wait to see some of her family. She was going to ask her why but she didn't want to be nosey or get into her personal business.

Damitrius smiled and nodded her head excitedly. "Yeah! You should listen to the song! It's a really good one!" she exclaimed as she fell back in the pile of leaves she was sitting in, and she giggled as she heard the crunch of the leaved again. She picked some up in her hands, and threw then up, giggling even more as she did so. "Ooh, now to change to a different song! I like to listen to old songs!" she laughed as she though about what song she should sing next. Finally it came to her and she streched out on the ground, as she began to sing it.

"She paints her fingers with a close precision, he starts to notice empty bottles of gin, and takes a moment to assess the sins she's paid for..."

She looked at the sky and smiled as she saw a flock of birds flying over them, mirgating to a warmer place for the winter. They seemed to like to leave before the winter even got there. "I always come down to say Hi to it. I don't really have many friends, so I like to keep it company, and I like to play little games with it." she smiled at the sky and she sighed. "I wish I didn't have to go to my house for Christmas. I don't want to see my sister." she said softly, her mind trying to ignore her werewolf sister. She wanted to forget about it, so she started to sing again.

"A lonely speaker in a conversation, her words are swimming through his ears again, there's nothing wrong wth just a taste of what you've paid for..."

Leslie looked at her friend and shook her head chuckling. "Ok Damitrius I will listen to the song I promise."said Leslie chuckling. As she turned to look at Damitrius she laughed as she seen she had leaves in her hair from picking up the leaves and throwing them into the air. "You know, you have some leaves in your hair!"said Leslie giggling. She knew she probably looked the same for she did the same thing as Damitrius did not to lnog ago. "Oh well... we'll look silly together and still have fun right?"Leslie asked her softly as she gave her friend as soft warm smile.

Leslie stopped smiling and looked at Damitrius and frowned when she said she didn't have that many friends which she wondered why for she seemed like a really nice person to her. "If you don't mind me asking why don't you want to go home and see your sister?"Leslie asked her softly. As she started singing again Leslie knew she didn't want to talk about her sister for some reason. Leslie guessed she was lucky that she gotten along great with her two brothers Andrew and James. She knew they were very protective of her and it annoyed the crap of her but she still loved them

Damitrius smiled and giggled when Lesile said she would listen to the song. "You better, or I'll getcha!" she exclaimed playfully, as she threw more leaves into the air. She looked over at Lesile, and gave her a silly smile she usually gave her little brother. She tried to look at her hair when her friend said she had leaves in her hair, and she smiled at her at the same time. "You do too!" she laughed, pointing to Lesile's hair. She giggled again, and laid back into the leaves again. "Yeah! Either way no one will care if we have laeves in our hair." she smiled at her. She suddenly looked away to the lake and began to sing again.

"Wh-oooooo-ooaaaa Mona Lisa, you're guarenteed to run this town. Wh-ooooo-oooaaa Mona Lisa, I'd pay to see you frown!"

She giggled again and sat up, staring at the lake more intently. She wanted to see if the squid would come up and say hi to them. After a while of staring at the lake, and not seeing the squid her lower lip quivered and she pursed her lips, and looked away from the lake again. "The squid doesn't want to see up." she said sadly, and playfully at the same time. Her eyes widened a little when she heard what Lesile asked her. She blinked a couple of times, and gulped hard before answering her question. "Because... my sister is a werewolf." she said simply, hoping Lesile understood why she didn't like her sister because of what she was. Because most of her family were half-vampires, or purebloods and most of them were enemies with werewolves. She felt tears sting her eyes, and to push them back she threw herself down on the leaves again and began to sing again.

"He senses something call it desperation, another dollar, another day. And if she had the proper words to say she would tell him, but she'd have nothing left to sell him."

Leslie shook her head and laughed when Damitrius said she would getcha. "Ooh... now I know I better listen to the song now!"said Leslie smirking. Leslie laughed and shrugged as Damitrius told her she had leaves in her hair as well. "Oh well... we can be freaks together right Mitri?"Leslie asked her as she giggled and threw some more leaves up in the air. She knew Damitrius was right about the leaves part for now days everyone had leaves in there hair for it was fall for crying out loud. As she laid back in the leaves she looked up at the tree above her watching the leaves fall from the tree.

Leslie laid back up and looked at the lake and sighed. "Well maybe it knows no one ever says hi to it so it don't see a point of coming up."said Leslie shrugging. As Damitrius told her why she didn't like her sister she simply nodded understanding why. Sighing to herself she laid back in the leaves listening to Mitri singing her heart out like she always did. Deciding to listen to some muisc as well Leslie got her wand out of her jacket and flicked it muttering the summoning charm as her ipod came towards her. Deciding what song she wanted she put her headpohnes on and started jamming to the music.
