Jess moved down the rows of clothing and displays, her mind on making sure it was all right for the opening. She moved clothes and bottles into neat piles and on to the right racks. She wished Kate was there but knew she was busy with khaat, Abby and Dakota, so could not make it. Her mind was on making this the best opening ever. Even thought she wanted to be with Khaat right now she couldn't. Jack was there and so was Steven, but she hoped that this evening at the official opening she would see them and not have it fall flat on its face, just like the original had years ago. She felt she had put a lot of work into it and now she was working still at keeping it going, since the book store had fallen through.
With a deep sigh she looked around, seeing a bulb blown she quickly moved to the store room and grabbed one from a shelf. As she passed a row of dresses she smiled knowing those were Fiona's designs and dresses. She had nothing to do to them and so quickly had the bulb changed, it lit up the streamers and banner that sat across the back wall of the shop. Streamers hung from the roof to each wall and she had arranged a table with a finger buffet on, in case her first customers were hungry. She knew every thing was now in place and she looked at her gold watch. Time was slipping by fast. Soon she opened the doors and waited for those she had invited and others who wanted now to see the renovated Madam malkins to enter.
