We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

I Solemnly Swear That I Am Up To No Good Empty I Solemnly Swear That I Am Up To No Good

Post by Jeremy Sebastian Way Wed Jun 29, 2011 1:15 am

It was these days that Jeremy could truly appreciate. The days when he could simply peruse the stores of Diagon Alley with money in his pocket. He so rarely went to Diagon Alley, as there were so many people on the street corners living in poverty. He'd stop and give them a few galleons if it weren't fort he fact that they always tried to rob them. No, he stops and gives them galleons anyway, to be honest.

Jeremy stopped in front of his favorite store and pushed the doors open, a wide grin gracing his features. He only had a limited amount of money today, as he had forgotten to write his grandfather that week and inform him that he was running low, but that was no bother. He could always come back and buy things. For now, though, he'd have to only get the thing he needed most. Jeremy strolled over to the Skiving Snackboxes and grabbed one, scratching his head. He could always come back later and get one.

Though he already had what he wanted, Jeremy decided to cruise around the shop just to price the things he needed. He never planned on harming anybody with his pranks. If anybody got hurt, it would be him. Jeremy ate most of the things in the Snackboxes anyway, just for a laugh. He always tested the things he bought on himself first to see the extent of it. Jeremy looked around the shop, noticing that it was quite crowded as usual. Unfortunately, he didn't really see anyone from his year. They were all either way younger or way older. Jeremy really felt like talking to someone, though, and decided take his chances and go with one of the older kids.

He approached a girl, one that he actually recognized from around the school despite not having classes, and smiled, hoping he wasn't bothering her. "Hello! I'm Jeremy, or Sebastian. Whatever you prefer." He stuck out his free hand. "What brings you here? Sorry if I'm bothering you - I just like talking to people."

I Solemnly Swear That I Am Up To No Good Empty Re: I Solemnly Swear That I Am Up To No Good

Post by Renny Handler Wed Jun 29, 2011 1:26 am

Renny was not usually into this shop- Weasley's. But she knew it was currently owned by a girl her age, some girl named Jack. And she had heard the girl had been the only witness to the death of Professor Elldir, and Renny had wanted to see if the girl was okay- why, because Renny was a right little saint. She wanted everyone to be okay. Even girls like that abrasive Jack...

When she got there, though, one of the clerks informed her Jack was on some sort of road trip. "Oh.. Well.. I, thank you. I suppose I'll-" the clerk rolled his eyes and walked away. Oh.. Well. That had been rather rude, frankly. Renny shook it off and bit her lip, her blue eyes scanning the shop. Jokes were fun but some of this stuff could e dangerous.

She saw an aisle of candy and strolled over to it. She began to look through all the candies when she heard a voice. She turned and recognized the boy- Jeremy. Renny had a knack for names and she was proud to say that to her knowledge she knew every Ravenclaw, so of course she knew Jeremy. "Hi Jeremy! I've seen you around the common room. I'm Renny!" She shook his head. At his question she shook her head. "Of course you're not bothering me! I was just looking for someone. This is honestly my first time in this store. What about you?"

I Solemnly Swear That I Am Up To No Good Empty Re: I Solemnly Swear That I Am Up To No Good

Jeremy's expression brightened. Now he knew why this girl looked so familiar! She was a Ravenclaw, so obviously Jeremy would have bumped into her at some point in his five years of living at Hogwarts. Renny had dark hair and bright blue eyes. She must have been one or two years older than her, because she was most definitely was still a Hogwarts student.

Jeremy brushed some hair out of his eyes. "Nice to meet you, Renny!" Well, Jeremy supposed they'd met before. He should have said 'Nice to formally introduce myself to you, Renny!', but that sounded so incredibly awkward and lame and Jeremy didn't dare say it.

The fifth year couldn't help but smile. "I come in here all the time! It's my favorite shop. None of these things are really harmful if you use them the right way. Don't worry, I'm not one of those dangerous kids," he winked playfully at Renny. "Did you come in here for anything specific? I can help you find it if you want."

I Solemnly Swear That I Am Up To No Good Empty Re: I Solemnly Swear That I Am Up To No Good

Renny smiled brightly at the boy. It was nice to talk to some people as pleasant as her. Now that school had ended and she was a graduate, she figured she would not see much of her other friends and would be stuck mostly with her family, all who were rather dreary. And when she got out of the house, most of the people she spoke to were in hurries and rather rude.

For people who could use magic, they sure were cranky.

He asked what she was looking for and she responded, "Actually, I was looking for the shop owner, bu she's on some sort of road trip." She shrugged, adjusting the boy in her hair. "That's what the clerk said, anyway." She turned and looked over at the barrels of candy. Her hands lifted to her stomach, fingering the blueish material of her dress. "I was thinking of buying some fun candy for my little brother Jerris though. Any suggestions?"

Jeremy grinned. "Don't mind the clerk. He can be a bloody arse when he wants to be. It's probably best not to talk to him at all when he's in one of those moods. If you can avoid it, at least." The teenager paused, looking over his shoulder and sticking his tongue out at the clerk behind his back.

The Ravenclaw leaned against the wall and considered Renny's question with a thoughtful expression, going over the selections of candy in the shop. There wasn't a whole variety to choose from, if he was being quite honest. "Well, I don't know your brother, but I'd go with the Skiving Snackbox. Nothing in there's really harmful. It's just sort of a sick joke to anyone around you to see the effects. Loads of fun and it can get you out of doing unpleasant things." Jeremy had used them to get out of some lessons in his previous years of school, especially on days when he really was sick, but most professors would still deem him well enough to go to class.

"They give you, like, nosebleeds and made you faint, though. So if you don't think your brother would like that, you should probably go with the canary creams. They're really good and the effects don't last too long."

Renny giggled as he stuck his tongue out at the clerk and then put a hand to her lips, knowing she should not laugh at the expense of someone else. Though, to be honest and fair, the clerk sort of had it coming seeing as he had been so unhelpful and unpleasant before. So she allowed herself to giggle as Jeremy stuck his tongue out at the clerk.

He began speaking of such things as Skiving Snackboxes and canary creams and she nodded knowingly. The owner, that odd Jack girl (though odd was not very nice to think, even if she was undeniably odd), had been in Renny's year and had been known to use both of those items on various occasions. Renny had seen her do so in class plenty of times to be familiar to them.

"No, I think Jerris would enjoy both, actually," she said after awhile. "He could use the snackboxes to skip school- usually I would not condone that, but he's living with rather dreadful guardians, so it's understandable. And it'd be fun to introduce the family to canary creams, just to scare Grandmother, and maybe my sister." She giggled.
