Mariposa is the spanish word for Butterfly. Mariposa's mother is of spanish desent and therefore she is as well. Her mother wanted Mariposa to live with something that would remind her that she was spanish and that she should be proud of it. So she decided to name her Mariposa. The same goes for her middle name Perla. Perla is the spanish word for Pearl.

GENERAL APPEARANCE: Mariposa is a simple but akward girl. She doesn't like to wear to much make up and she doesn't like to wear dresses most of the time. She moostly dresses like a boy and she acts like one a lot of the time as well. She usually wears some kind of torn trousers when she is able, and she only likes to wear sneakers. Her clothes are usually only the colors blue and black(she doesn't like to stand out a lot) or sometimes white. She hates to wear anything purple or pink.

She also dresses like a boy because it makes her feel more comfortable. She doesn't like girl clothes because they are tighter than she'd like them to be. Early Years: Mariposa like her mother and siblings are of Spanish descent. Her grandparents were born and grew up in Guatemala. But their lives there was hard, what with all the killings and earthquakes that happen there. So they thought it best to move, but they didn't know where to go. Finally they decided to England. Not long after Mariposa's mother was born on August 25(quite a coinsidence, is it not?). When Brenda was 17, she met and fell in love with Eddie Williams. After dating for about two years Eddie proposed to Brenda and they were married a few months after.
A few years later Mariposa was born.
Mariposa was born on a sunny, breezy summer morning, on August 25. She is the first born of four children. After her comes, Alexandra, Bryan, and Caroline. Each of the children are one year apart from the other. The four of them have a really close knit relationship with each other and with their parents. None of them ever feel like one of the others gets more attention than them. They almost always spent their all their tie together, until Hogwarts.
Hogwarts Years: When Mariposa got her accetpance letter, everyone was thrilled, but it was also a sad moment for the four siblings. They would be seperated from their oldest sister for one year. But the year went by faster than they accepted. Mariposa was sorted into _______ house, and the following year Alexanra got her letter. Everyone expected her to be sorted into the same house as her sister but that wasn't the case. She was sorted into Ravenclaw unlike her sister.
Then came Bryan's turn. He wanted to be sorted into the same house as one of his sisters but because of his attitude and his cruelness, he was sorted into Slytherin. Finally came the youngest sibling Caroline. She was sorted into ________ unlike the others. They were all sorted into different houses and because of this their bond gradually broke and they grew farther and farther from each other.
